Overview

A detailed summary of the major and minor astrological aspects influencing the week of October 1–8, 2025. The major highlights: A limited Grand-Cross configuration on Wednesday with discordant Mercury square aspect to Jupiter. Thursday discussions continue with some progress, possible. Compromises are difficult. Friday concludes with a more hopeful prospect for solving a dilemma. The Full Moon in Libra next Tuesday could finalize agreements, but danger of an explosive backlash exists as well.

Wednesday, October 1st

The Sun in Libra forms a close, doubly approaching opposition aspect with Ceres Rx in Aries. During the early morning hours in the UK, EU, and Middle East (01:30 EDT), a T-square configuration develops with the Moon in Capricorn, opposition aspect to Jupiter in Cancer and square aspect to Mercury in Libra. This coincides with a pause in deal-making within the US Congress. There is a possibility that an agreement could be reached regarding the hostages and the resolution of the war in Gaza.

As the day progresses, the Moon moves into a square aspect with Chiron Rx in Aries, while Mercury forms a partile square aspect with Jupiter. This creates the potential for a Grand Cross configuration; however, its impact may be limited due to the Moon and Chiron’s transiting aspects being at a three-degree orb. Later, the Moon enters Aquarius at 19:52 UTC (15:52 EDT; 22:52 EEDT), where it makes a conjunction aspect with Pluto Rx, a sesquiquadrate aspect to Venus in Virgo, a trine aspect to Uranus Rx in Gemini, and a sextile aspect to Neptune Rx in Aries. Mercury is in mutual reception with Venus, but communication remains highly discordant due to Mercury’s square aspect to Jupiter.

Thursday, October 2nd

The Sun in Libra is in partile opposition aspect to Ceres Rx in Aries, and Mercury in Libra opposition aspect to Chiron Rx in Aries. The Moon, now in Aquarius, makes a sextile aspect to Ceres and a trine aspect to the Sun. Pluto Rx forms a sesquiquadrate aspect to Venus in Virgo, with Venus still in mutual reception with Mercury. These aspects suggest a transformation in communication efforts, which leads to progress in ending the conflict and facilitating hostage releases. Meanwhile, Jupiter in Cancer is square aspect to Mercury and to Chiron Rx intensifies, bringing discussions closer to a final agreement.

Friday, October 3rd

The Moon in Aquarius forms a quincunx aspect with Jupiter in Cancer and a trine aspect with Mercury in Libra. These aspects support efforts to transform the situation and shift the balance toward humanitarian objectives. Mercury enters a partile opposition aspect with Chiron Rx in Aries, focusing on providing aid to the wounded, though the goal of rescue may recede. The Sun in Libra moves beyond its opposition aspect to Ceres Rx in Aries. Venus in Virgo, still in mutual reception with Mercury, forms a sesquiquadrate aspect with Pluto Rx in Aquarius and a conjunction aspect with Ketu in Virgo, indicating a resolution to the current dilemma. The Moon’s sextile aspect to Chiron Rx further encourages persuasive efforts to achieve the desired goals.

Saturday, October 4th

The Moon enters Pisces at 02:08 UTC (10:02 EDT Friday; 05:08 EEDT) and immediately forms a square aspect with Uranus Rx in Gemini, followed by a trine aspect to Mars in Scorpio. These aspects suggest that bold or radical actions could help achieve the intended outcome. However, Mercury in Libra’s quincunx aspect to Saturn Rx in Pisces signals a lack of established boundaries, raising the risk of overreach and potential failure to hit the precise target. Mars also forms a quincunx aspect with retrograde Ceres Rx and the Moon is quincunx aspect to the Sun with uncertainty or confusion indicated by the three quincunx aspects and two opposition aspects, with the Sun separating opposition aspect to Ceres Rx. Venus conjunction aspect with Ketu indicates a release of ambitions, possibly a recognition that some goals are unrealistic.

Sunday, October 5th

The Moon in Pisces conjunction aspect with Rahu early today in opposition aspect to the Ketu and Venus conjunction aspect in Virgo represents a turning point in relationships. Mars in Scorpio quincunx aspect to Ceres Rx in Aries as impassioned efforts are made to secure the release of wrongfully detained individuals. The Moon in a conjunction aspect with Saturn Rx in Pisces seems symbolic of reverse engineering, with an emotional impact to reform, quincunx aspect to Mercury in Libra, communicates an altered point-of-view as an explanation for deeds, a re-interpretation of historical fact.

Monday, October 6th

The Moon ingress Aries 00:49 EDT; 04:49 UTC; 07:49 EEDT, activating the Minor Grand-trine configuration with the conjunction aspect to Neptune Rx on the cusp of Aries, Uranus Rx in Gemini trine aspect to Pluto Rx in Aquarius and sextile aspect to Neptune and the Moon. Mercury in Libra is quincunx aspect to the Moon /Neptune conjunction aspect seeking balance in an entrenched complex of powerful forces. Some nefarious motivations can be exposed. Jupiter in Cancer doubly approaching square aspect to Chiron Rx in Aries, as the role of the wounded healer is expanded to address cultural wounds. Mercury ingress Scorpio 12:45 EDT; 16:45 UTC; 19:45 EEDT Moon/Neptune sextile aspect to Uranus Rx quincunx aspect to Mercury may indicate a successful, radical approach to dialogue considering the Yod configuration formed for enhanced opportunities.

Tuesday, October 7th

The Full Moon in Aries 23:49 EDT Monday; 03:49 UTC; 06:49 EEDT indicates an agreement is reached. However, with painful compromises. Mercury in Scorpio square aspect to Pluto Rx in Aquarius indicates misunderstandings, or a deep cultural sorrow. Venus in Virgo approaching sextile aspect to Jupiter in Cancer, mutual reception with Mercury in Libra indicates discussion with friends and family in reinforcement of supportive sharing. A Yod configuration offers opportunity to release grievances, may empower a will to overcome an intransigent situation imposed from outside forces.  The Moon makes a quincunx aspect to Venus and square aspect to Jupiter, disposed of by Mars, could indicate a trigger for explosive events.
