New Moon Search for Peace

Overview
New Moon at zero degree Virgo on Saturday, square aspect to Uranus might see upsets and reversals.  European leaders met in Washington with Trump and Zelenskyy to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine, focusing on security arrangements and possible peace concessions. This is more than just a local interest. It is important for every person on earth, as lives and resources are consumed wastefully, and chemical of war pollute the environment. Meanwhile, Qatar and Egypt formulated a peace offer that includes a partial release of hostages in exchange for prisoners held by Israel, and a 2 month cessation of attacks (by Israel). This does not qualify for a peace settlement, giving Hamas more time, increases their ranks and gives Israel less than half of the hostages, living and dead. It is indeed as though the perpetrators both in Ukraine and Gaza want their demands met, growing the victor lawlessness mentality.  Venus ingress to Leo on Monday, indicating  radiant pride in achievements.

Summary of major and minor aspects of the week

Wednesday August 20^th — Moon and Venus conjunction aspect in Cancer early today, US time zones, afternoon hours UK, EU, and ME. Moon, the dispositor of Venus, in its domain of Cancer, relating to pain by helping to heal wounds , physical, emotional, and mental. Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra. Serving balance and health always. Jupiter in Cancer square aspect to Ceres retro in Aries, indicates that a shared cultural grief strengthens bonds, as victims are mourned. Uranus in Gemini partile sextile aspect to Neptune retro in Aries indicates the demonstrated urgency for release could lead to rescue efforts. Uranus doubly separating sextile aspect with Saturn retro in Aries, as Saturn conjunction aspect to Neptune remains as contradictory energies scramble, a part of the stellium of retrograde planets, including Ceres and Chiron. Moon ingress Leo 23:18 UTC; 19:18 EDT; 21:18 EEDT bringing charm and warmth to the controversies, trine aspect to Neptune/Saturn retro, sextile aspect to Uranus and opposition aspect to Pluto retro in Aquarius.

Thursday August 21^st — The Moon in sextile aspect to Mars in Libra makes a  conjunction aspect with Mercury in Leo, a hopeful indication that good-will prevails. Venus in Cancer doubly applying square aspect to Chiron retro in Aries presses for a resolution to conflicts. Jupiter in Cancer doubly applying square aspect to Ceres retro in Aries advances a cause for the disadvantaged and/or captives. Uranus in Gemini doubly applying trine aspect to Pluto retro in Aquarius, and doubly applying sextile aspect to Neptune retro in Aries while doubly separating sextile aspect to Saturn retro in Aries, forcing  a separation of issues, that were preventing progress in negotiations.

Friday August 22^nd — The Moon in Leo is trine aspect to Chiron retro in Aries, as many  earthly citizens are now reflecting on the significant events of the past few days, perhaps altering their world views, as reality on the ground shifts.  The Sun ingress Virgo, the mutable earth sign, at 20:35 UTC; 16:35 EDT; 23:35 EEDT.  The work on detailed arrangements commence. Venus and Jupiter in Cancer are partile square aspect to the centaur Chiron and minor planet Ceres. Venus and Jupiter, the benefics indicate proposals, although somewhat forceful or coerced as a harsh square aspect, for peace settlements. The defendants must give concessions to the aggressors, feeding the dragons, as it were. It is necessary to prevent future aggressions. Mercury in Leo, the ruler of Virgo and Gemini, having superseded the sextile aspect to Mars remains relatively uninvolved at present, with no other significant aspects.

Saturday August 23^rd — The Moon in Leo will meet with the Sun as they both ingress Virgo for the New Moon [see chart] Friday or Saturday morning, depending on where you are on our earthly globe. The Moon ingress Virgo at 05:25 UTC; 01:25 EDT; 08:25 EEDT. The New Moon time 06:08 UTC; 02:08 EDT; 09:08 EEDT, in a quincunx aspect to Saturn retro and Neptune retro in Aries, relating to the difficult process of providing details that will be acceptable to both sides of a conflict. The aggressors have historical grievances they want to rectify, to return to a fundamental worldview that is archaic to the Western mind. Saturn represents a standard that is collectively oppressive, paternalistic and authoritarian. Neptune, as a universal solvent, in conjunction aspect with Saturn represents a potential to dissolve the past, to transform to a future with freedoms for the individual to be guaranteed. Jupiter in Cancer partile square aspect to Ceres in Aries, represents the power to resurrect individual lives, to correct a  wrong. Venus in Cancer partile square aspect to Chiron retro in Aries represents the humanitarian efforts to free those who are suffering.  Uranus in Gemini is square aspect to the New Moon and sextile aspect to Neptune/Saturn retro, means a forceful, through possibly inspired solution may be imposed. Uranus trine aspect to Pluto retro in Aquarius, disposed of by Uranus, represents the effort to settle conflicts, allowing for the universal order to evolve.

Sunday August 24^th — The Sun in Virgo quincunx aspects to Pluto retro in Aquarius and to Neptune retro in Aries, while the sextile aspect from Neptune/Saturn to Pluto strengthens, forms a Yod configuration, as progress on details in the eventual peace platform could be formulated. The Sun in a square aspect to Uranus in Gemini represents a rebuke of aggressive powers, using rational, as Mercury is the dispositor of both the Sun and Uranus. Mercury is sesquiquadrate aspect to Saturn/Uranus retro, urging for a rational motive, and doubly approaching a trine aspect to Ceres retro in Aries, for humanitarian release. The Moon in Virgo is sesquiquadrate aspect to Pluto retro and conjunction aspect to Ketu, as concessions are possible for the sake of future viability.

Monday August 25^th — The Moon ingress Libra 14:10 UTC; 10:10 EDT; 17:10 EEDT as opponents seek retributions, opposition aspect to Saturn/Neptune retro in Aries. Venus ingress Leo [see chart], at 19:30 EEDT, in opposition aspect to Pluto retro in Aquarius and trine aspects to Saturn retro and Neptune retro in Aries. The Moon in Libra is sextile aspect to Venus and trine aspect to Pluto retro and trine aspect to Uranus in Gemini for a grand-trine configuration in air signs. The conflict of personal and national pride might win over the commitment for a peaceful settlement in disputed land and hegemony. The threats of retributions could reignite attacks, sinking the world into renewed conflict. The Yod configuration of yesterday fades. Uranus is the dispositor of Pluto, and is disposed of by Mercury in Leo, indicating pride overwhelming reason, the Sun is the dispositor of Mercury, seeking to rebalance the argument. Mercury is semi-square aspect to Mars in Libra, indicating a that an impulsive move in contradiction to previous statements, may feel justified to settle old scores.

Tuesday August 26^th — The Moon in Libra makes a conjunction aspect with Mars, square aspect to Jupiter in Leo and opposition aspect to Ceres in Aries, for a T-square configuration, with Jupiter as the focal point, indicates a successful military maneuver to rescue captives. Venus in Leo in opposition aspect to Pluto retro in Aquarius and sextile aspect to Uranus in Gemini as pride is extracted from danger. A series of semi-square aspects: Ceres to Uranus, Uranus to Jupiter, and Jupiter to the Sun in Virgo stimulate actions that succeed.
