Aspects of Conflict

Overview

As we begin a new soli-lunar cycle, following the New Moon in Virgo, efforts to resolve conflicts are a major concern. The wars in the ME, Ukraine defending itself from Russian aggression, and Israel in a defensive war against Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, and the Houthis of Yemen, are reaching a climax. The political contest in the US also contains elements of subversion and threats to democracy. Today, as I write, and for the past two weeks, the Israel Air Force is patrolling the land with frequent over flights. I do not live in the disputed territories — I have recently moved from Jerusalem to Safed in the north of the country. With the murder of 6 hostages by Hamas, the political situation heats up. By Thursday this week, aspects of conflict, the square and the opposition as well as the sesquiquadrate predominate. The  Full Moon eclipse on September 18 has the potential to achieve some progress in resolving issues of the current cycle.

Summary of major and minor aspects of the week

Wednesday September 4^th — Following the New Moon of yesterday, the Moon transits to egress Virgo, forming the opposition aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces. Pluto retro returns to Capricorn, trine aspect to the Moon, and sextile aspect to Neptune.  Thus, the Moon is the trigger point for two major configurations early today, US time zones, afternoon hours in UK, EU, and ME. The T-square configuration with the opposition aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces square aspect to Mars in Gemini is quincunx aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn, as Mars will also ingress Cancer a few hours later, as a threat to violence becomes neutralized. The Moon at the same hour is trine aspect to Uranus retro and Pluto retro, as transformative issues are able to transcend the mundane. A rapid exchange of technical knowhow, is also indicated by Mercury square aspect to Uranus retro and trine aspect to Pluto retro, could indicate unexpected disclosure of secretive information. Electronic communication could be interrupted. Venus conjunction aspect with Ketu in Libra signifies a release of passionate and/or painful memories, enabling transcendence as a balance is sought. The Moon ingress Libra 16:13 UTC; 12:13 EDT; 19:13 EEDT as we seek to find a balance or a justification.

Thursday September 5^th — The Moon makes a conjunction aspect with Venus and Ketu square aspect to Ceres in Capricorn 04:30 EDT; 08:30 UTC; 11:30 EEDT. Mercury in Leo doubly approaching square aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus as powerful messages are sent.  Mercury is in a shadow phase of its recent retrograde phase. However, Saturn and the trams–Saturnian planets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are all in retrograde. The whole earth is working to change the underlying structures that contain our lives. While most people want peace and progress in creating better lives, some radical organization would destroy anyone who does not fit their ideological concepts. These are regressive elements and so must be eliminated. There is no other way if the battle approaches your doorstep. Ceres is square aspect to the lunar nodes, Rahu and Ketu, as the retrieval of murdered civilians emphasizes this reality. Mars in Cancer is in a separating square aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces, and Mercury in Leo is doubly approaching the square aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus as pressure mounts to save remaining hostages. This only gives Hamas more power, as they use the lives of the hostages to increase pressure to gain a stronger negotiating position. Mercury square aspect to Uranus retro represents the use of threats over the lives of innocent civilians. The Sun in Virgo is doubly approaching the opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces. Attempts to undermine the negative power is unlikely to succeed at this time, as options are limited. The use of force or persuasion is likely to backfire. We can also see these forces at work in US political conflicts, although more strongly displayed in the ME.

Friday September 6^th — The Moon in Libra is trine aspect to Jupiter in Gemini early today, magnifying the actions needed for gaining credibility in political or military responses. The Moon transits to the opposition aspect to Chiron retro in Aries, as reasoning is sought by appeal to unconscious sources, distorting actual truth. Neptune retro in Pisces is within a degree of a sextile aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn, although this aspect never reaches partile, as Pluto returns to direct motion on October 12^th. Distortions of fact are attempted.  The Sun in Virgo is sesquiquadrate aspect to Pluto as the rendering of truth is problematic. The Sun doubly approaches the opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces, increasing pressure on authorities.

Saturday September 7^th — The Moon ingress to Scorpio at 05:20 UTC;  01:20 EDT; 08:20 EEDT and makes a sextile aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn immediately before the ingress while the Moon is quincunx aspect to Neptune retro, as appeals are made to combat dis-information. The Sun in Virgo reaches the partile opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces, ferreting out truth from the false in media. The Moon makes a trine aspect to Mars in Cancer immediately after the ingress, as emotional support is provided. The Moon sextile aspect to Ceres, later in the day, releases some content from the hostages.

Sunday September 8^th — The Moon in Scorpio makes a trine aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces, and sextile aspect to the Sun in Virgo, signifying that mediation efforts could be successful. Mercury is quincunx aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces and quincunx aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn to form a Yod configuration. This emphasizes the potential for a reasonable outcome or negotiations, as Mercury is a messenger with a neutral modality, in Leo, the messenger as mediator has the backing of major powers.  Venus in Libra makes a sesquiquadrate aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus, with Uranus retro sextile aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces, also in trine aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn could force reversals as pressures mount.

Monday September 9^th — The Moon in Scorpio transits to the opposition aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus, the sextile aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn, and trine aspect to Neptune retro  in Pisces for a finalization of the agreements reached. The Moon ingress to Sagittarius 17:27 UTC; 13:27 EDT; 20:27 EEDT making a square aspect to Mercury, at Mercury’s ingress to Virgo, as court appeals are made to contest indictments. The Moon is quincunx aspect to Mars in self-serving Cancer, as injuries are also claimed, perhaps having “missed the boat.”  The Sun in Virgo and an approaching square aspect to Jupiter in Gemini, both Jupiter and the Sun are disposed of by Mercury, a signal that negotiations achieve a material gain.

Tuesday September 10^th— Venus in Libra with a doubly approaching quincunx aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces, coincides with appeals made to undermine convictions.  Mercury in Virgo approaching sextile aspect to Mars in Cancer, as work on corrections and alterations to agreements or judgements take place. Neptune retro in Pisces is sextile aspect to both Uranus retro in Taurus and Pluto retro in Capricorn, which increases the effective orb of Uranus trine to Pluto. Contacts with regressive organizations are ongoing although successful achievements are elusive.
