A Cultural Breakthrough at the New Moon
Overview
The Sun in Virgo as the seasons are changing, and focus on the work for the school/work year, as Pluto retro returns to Capricorn and Uranus turns retrograde, the synchronicity of the sky and our inner intuitive seasonal orientation are set to change our relationship to cultural and universal forces. Dramatic political events, geo-political conflicts, and personal acceptance or rejection of changes will define each one’s path for the near future. As Venus transcends the trine aspect to Uranus, the lucky charm could be waning in this culminating Moon phase. However, Venus is approaching a trine aspect with Pluto to galvanize the aura of success, even creating a fortuitous grand-trine configuration.

Summary of major and minor aspects of the week
Wednesday August 28th — The Moon at Cancer ingress 08:49 UTC; 04:49 EDT; 11:49 EEDT. The Moon sextile aspect to the Sun in Virgo in the afternoon hours US time zones, then in an opposition aspect to Chiron in Capricorn. This seems like an auspicious hour, as the Moon is conjunction aspect to US Natal Sun/Jupiter in Cancer. The analysis might depend on the issues of the astrologer, although certain current major issues are relevant to apply. Venus at 29 degrees of Virgo is partile opposition aspect to Neptune retro at 29 deg Pisces. The two opposition aspects are not in close aspect to each other. The Moon is square aspect to the nodes, Rahu and Ketu in Aries and Libra, giving a fatalistic hue to the chart. The Moon opposition aspect to Ceres is relevant to the issues important to the younger generations. The approach/avoidance, the push and pull to gain political support becomes a focus. Venus opposition aspect to Neptune likewise is courting the disadvantaged segments of humanity. Certainly, in the ME, when this opposition aspect occurs close to midnight, conflicting aspirations are at work. The achievement of a cease-fire agreement, including the release of hostages depends on the successful outcome of negotiations. The grand-trine configuration created by Venus trine aspect to Pluto and Uranus in earth signs, and Pluto retro on the cusp of Capricorn/Aquarius. There could be fortuitous movement on the release of the hostages.
Thursday August 29th — The Moon in Cancer trine aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces while the Sun in Virgo is trine aspect to Ceres in Capricorn. The Moon in a cardinal sign has a route to successfully gain compensation from recessive powers as the Sun trine aspect to Ceres signifies a release of those in captivity or similar circumstances. Mercury in Leo is stationary turning direct transit, trine aspect to Chiron retro in Aries as core knowledge is obtained. Venus trine aspect to Pluto strengthens as power is consolidated, trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus indicates that a reversal is taking place. Venus ingress to Libra, a sign Venus rules, indicates that agreements are favored to be formalized, and possibly on humanitarian grounds.
Friday August 30th — The Sun in Virgo makes a trine aspect to Ceres in Capricorn, as negotiations strive to solve practical matters. Mercury in Leo doubly approaches the trine aspect to Chiron retro in Aries, revealing hidden resources. The Moon sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus then ingress Leo 17:11 UTC; 13:11 EDT; 20:11 EEDT triggering reversals, as the Moon is in opposition aspect to Pluto retro. The Moon then makes a sextile aspect to Venus in Libra, as negotiations are progressing to a conclusion. Mars in Gemini doubly approaches the square aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces.
Saturday August 31st — The Sun in Virgo trine aspect to Ceres in Capricorn and sesquiquadrate aspect to Chiron retro in Aries indicates difficulties in achieving release or the desired results of negotiations are delayed. Mercury in Leo is trine aspect to Chiron retro and sesquiquadrate aspect to Ceres reinforcing the aims to achieve a release.
Sunday September 1st — The Moon transits the conjunction aspect with Mercury morning US time zones, afternoon hours in UK, EU, and ME, triggering a release of information, possibly related to secretive activities. Unfortunately, the increased information does not easily translate into success for the hostage release, as the sesquiquadrate aspect is now from Mercury to Ceres, and the trine aspect is from Mercury to Chiron retro. Uranus stationary in Taurus is widely trine aspect to Pluto retro in Aquarius, and sextile aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces. Mars in Gemini is square aspect to Neptune retro. Pluto retro is at 0 deg Aquarius, slowly moving into Capricorn. The issues involved seem to have come to an impasse.
Monday September 2nd — The Moon ingress to Virgo at 03:50 UTC; 23:50 EDT (Sunday); 06:50 EEDT. The New Moon is at 21:55 EDT; Tuesday morning for the eastern hemisphere. Following the New Moon, Pluto retro relocates to Capricorn, indicating more determination to settle long simmering issues. Mars in Gemini doubly approaches the square aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces. Uranus is stationary in Taurus, and in a separating trine aspect to Pluto retro, a sextile aspect to Neptune retro, with Neptune sextile aspect to Pluto and Pluto semi-square aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces. The unexpected may yet happen with Uranus stationary in the fixed sign of Taurus, upsetting the status quo.
Tuesday September 3rd — The Moon in Virgo makes an opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces, challenging candidates with a careful analysis of detail. Mars in Gemini approaches the quincunx aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn, challenging the status with an aggressive investigative reporting. The Moon transits to the square aspect with Jupiter in Gemini, and Venus in Libra is square aspect to Ceres in Capricorn. Venus approaching conjunction aspect with Ketu in Libra as the fate of the released hostages becomes known. A stronger grand-trine configuration forms on Wednesday with the Moon trine aspect to Uranus retro and Pluto retro, with a simultaneous T-square configuration as the Moon in opposition aspect to Neptune retro and square aspect to Mars in Gemini. Mars indicates critical work done to overcome inertia, with a quincunx aspect to Pluto retro.
