The Sun in Aries, the sign of seasonal renewal, as though it is the first and only, brings fresh awareness of our earthly existence, and our dependence on the celestial motions to replenish life on earth. The Moon in the fire sign Sagittarius is in a harmonious aspect to the Sun to begin this mid-week view from the planet. Over the next 7 days, the Moon transits through the 4 zodiac signs that are referenced as signs of universality. The Moon as the protector and guide of our earthly existence, in this segment of the 12-sign zodiac, guides emotional reactions to a global situation in which we all share some relevance. Having avoided or recovered from Covid illness is a reason to praise the Lord. Living a relatively free life is a reason to praise the Lord. As the week progresses, participation in earthly activities reminds us to have concern and compassion for others not so fortunate. The 3rd quarter Moon phase is late Thursday in the western hemisphere, Friday morning in the eastern half of the globe. The Moon in Capricorn and square aspect to the Sun could put a damper on too rapid growth or personal promotion in importance before the new Moon on April 1st.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday March 23rd — The Moon in the mutable-fire sign Sagittarius encourages us to adapt philosophically to the current state of affairs. The morning trine aspect to Chiron is a hopeful indication that some agreements can be reached. Energy flow could, conversely, increase rapid escalation of forces, so that all else is brushed aside, with a focus on the desired goals. Mars, the dispositor of the Sun in Aries is in a square aspect to Uranus in Taurus, as a conflict between two aggressive, potentially violent forces persists. Mars, in the universal fixed-air sign of Aquarius, seeks independence, while Uranus in the personal fixed-earth sign of Taurus, seeks economic and/or strategic advantage. As discussions for a settlement between two waring nations continue, there is little hope of agreement now. The Moon makes sextile aspects to Mars and Venus in Aquarius, indicating a willingness to compromise and to reach agreements. Mercury in Pisces, however, approaches the conjunction aspect with Neptune, emphasizing the lack of understanding, as negotiations flounder. A square aspect to Jupiter late in the day could bring unexpected benefits.
Thursday March 24th — The Moon in Sagittarius is square aspect to Jupiter in Pisces early today, in Europe and points eastward. A harsh aspect between the Moon and Jupiter can result in beneficial agreements that defy expectations. The Moon is then in a sextile aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, as hard work is done to focus on the difficult issues, even as agreements remains elusive. The will to reach a settlement provides for increased efforts on either side. Venus at the midpoint between Mars and Saturn could indicate an intermediary who helps to bring the two sides together. The Moon ingress to Capricorn late in the day approaches the square aspect to the Sun in Aries, the 3rd quarter Moon phase.
Friday March 25th —The Moon in Capricorn today makes a trine aspect to ambitious Uranus in in Taurus. Taurus is to a certain extent laid-back, satisfied with a status quo situation as a fixed sign, enjoying the good things in life, at whatever level. Uranus wants to revolutionize, promoting the native or entity to an infinitely higher level. With Moon organized in Capricorn, the path to power is through recognition. Uranus does not care about organization. The Moon is trying to calm the iconoclastic energy of Uranus. The Moon is in its so-called detriment in Capricorn, opposed to the sign of rulership Cancer. This era, with Saturn the dispositor of the Moon in Cap, and posited in Aquarius, there is a fundamental motivation to advance to a higher universality. If there is a divine plan for planet earth and the soul of humanity, to choose peace over conflict, and individual right for self-determination over dictatorship, as enshrined in the UN Charter, then the resolution of unjust domination of a nation or people will not succeed. The arc of history will bend toward justice. It may not happen today or this year, but each unjust aggression needs to be resolved and the injustices rectifies in whatever measure possible. The tools and organization to address the issues exist now. The Moon in Capricorn stands to promote justice by law.
Saturday March 26th — Mercury in Pisces is sextile aspect to Pluto in Capricorn, as the Moon transits to the conjunction aspect with Pluto. This should invoke the higher laws, the laws of universality and the will to a peaceful world with mutual respect for all nations and peoples. The Moon ingress Aquarius by afternoon US time zones, evening in Europe and points eastward forming a stellium. Mercury ingress to Aries late in the day, advancing rapid change. Mercury is disposed of by Mars in Aquarius, Mars is disposed of by Uranus in Taurus and Uranus and Venus are in mutual reception, with Venus in Aquarius. The pieces of the puzzle start to fall into place.
Sunday March 27th — The Moon sextile aspect to the Sun aggressively seeks a harmonious agreement. Venus in Aquarius approaches a conjunction aspect with Saturn. Strict Saturn is compromised, even brought to a luster with the kindness of Venus in the field of universality. Venus is enhanced by a semi-sextile aspect to Jupiter. While not a major aspect, the semi–sextile between Jupiter and Venus is inherently beneficial. Respecting the rights of every nation for self-determination should be recognized. The Moon makes a sextile aspect to Chiron in Aries before reaching the conjunction aspect with Mars. If personal motivation is aligned with wisdom prior to action taken, the goal of the action is justified.
Monday March 28th — The Moon in Aquarius forms triple conjunction aspects with Venus and Mars, enshrining universal principles, although also in a semi-square aspect (also called a octile aspect) to the Sun in Aries, indicates a corruption of justice, or an incompatible ruling, prompting reaction, as the Moon transcends Saturn. The triple conjunction is semi-sextile to the forming Jupiter–Neptune conjunction aspect in Pisces, as judgments are internalized for future organized action. The Moon ingress Pisces occurs late in the day US time zones, early Tuesday morning in Europe and points eastward.
Tuesday March 29th — Venus in Aquarius transcends the conjunction aspect with Saturn, moving on to semi–sextile aspects with Mercury, Sun and Chiron in Aries. An intense planning phase is underway for future actions to reach intended goals. The Moon in Pisces gathers forces as it reaches the sextile aspect with Uranus in Taurus, hoping to undermine armies of aggression. Venus in Aquarius is semi-sextile aspect to Neptune in Pisces, internalizing transformative values to combat overt destructive forces. The Moon in Pisces approaches the conjunction aspects with Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces early on Wednesday, as another triple conjunction forms for a just redemption.
I hope you also have an interesting week.
Reminder: While lunar aspects are in effect only for only a few hours, the aspect of the outer planets can last days and weeks. I post a reading for a day in advance in order to give a preview, and also because the aspects may be in effect a day earlier.
