Critical Degrees and Crises — June 16-23 2021

Overview

The Sun leaves Gemini on Monday the 21st of June, and the Moon transits from Virgo through Libra and Scorpio this week and will be found in Sagittarius next week on Tuesday.  The Sun makes a quincunx aspect to the Moon and a square aspect to Jupiter on Tuesday, and then a trines aspect to Mars in Leo as the word gets around for new fashions and games. The recipe to conquer Covid-19 has been formulated and billions of doses will be delivered. Certainly, a time to raise spirits and expectations for success in the future. Venus is in opposition aspect to Pluto on the 23rd with the Moon in opposition to Mercury understanding the opponents’ goals might help resolve conflicts.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday June 16th — The Moon in Virgo is in an opposition aspect to Jupiter in Pisces. Jupiter, as the former ruler of Pisces, before the modern planet Neptune was assigned, has resonance in Pisces. However, Jupiter symbolizes coalescence, whereas Neptune disburses. With the Moon in an opposition aspect, the benefits of the Jupiter position can be utilized. While this occurs overnight in the US, in Europe and Israel at a mid-morning hour of 9-10. Mars in Leo is semi-sextile to the Moon and also quincunx aspect to Jupiter, adding an element of cost of direct action. There is motivation to carry out policies. With Saturn retro in Aquarius square aspect to Uranus in Taurus, a partile aspect although separating, indicates a strong reaction, such as motions to counteract government proposals or to dissolve the government. Both planets are slow moving, so this aspect stays in effect until the end of June. It will re-form in December and be strong over the final 2 weeks of December, with Uranus retro and Saturn direct separating in January 2022, as Saturn moves forward in Aquarius. Mercury in Gemini, its sign of rulership, and retrograde is semi-sextile to Venus in Cancer. Venus is disposed of by the Moon in Virgo. While repeat voting may take place, the working arrangements (Moon in Virgo) are likely to continue.

Thursday June 17th — The Moon in Virgo is trine aspect to Uranus and Ceres in Taurus overnight (US time zones) and morning in Europe and early morning in the Mid-East. The UranusCeres conjunction aspect combines the transforming needs of a generation with the radical movements. The Moon in Virgo works to implement a policy of political or social reform. The Moon in a sextile aspect to Venus in Cancer, disposed of by the Moon, is a good signature for health-related issues.  The Moon is in a square aspect to Mercury retro in Gemini, indicating technical problems that may arise. Most likely these can be resolved. The Sun in Gemini is in a quincunx aspect to Pluto in Capricorn, requiring ingenuity to overcome difficult bureaucratic hurdles. The Moon moves to an opposition aspect to Neptune in Pisces later in the day. One may draw support from empathetic relationships, who offer practical solutions.

Friday June 18th — The first quarter Moon is at 3:55 UT, and for US EDT at 5 min to midnight on Thursday. Moon ingress to Libra is at 8:55 UT or 4:55 AM EDT. The intervening 5 hours is Void-of-Course. During the Void-of Course hours, negotiations are non-productive. This   would only affect night workers and the dreams of most people in the US. New initiatives or personal convictions made at the New Moon (eclipse) on June 10th (early morning in the US) may be challenged and a crisis may develop at the first Quarter Moon. The details of the crisis should be under mitigation only after the lunar ingress into Libra, ending the Void-of Course phase. If conflicts are open and interactions between the sides of the conflict are aired, they tend to be overly emotional. Therefore, take a break from arguing with spouse or children. Avoid conflicts in general. This may be difficult if you are upset during a time of crisis, but delaying the confrontation until the Moon is in Libra would have a better outcome. The Moon in Libra is in a quincunx aspect to Jupiter in Pisces, and a few hours later, sextile aspect to Mars in Leo. Working out issues can be frustrating, but worthwhile as working out differences could lead to a successful plan of action. Saturn in a square aspect to Uranus indicates that fundamental differences remain. Existing legal positions are regressing with the retrograde Saturn, while a revolution may be in the offing, the lid is kept on for the time being.

Saturday June 19th — The Moon in Libra (air sign) is trine aspect to Saturn retro overnight for US time zones, but morning hours in Europe and mid-eastern countries.   As a balance of power is underway, perhaps unconsciously, as the new US administration makes changes that largely reverse the unbridled dictates of the previous POTUS, and diminishing somewhat the restrictions on freedom of press, while Europe and Israel seem to be ready to adjust their outlook as well. The Moon in transit then is trine to Mercury retro in Gemini, the third air sign, as more tangible thought corrections are made. The Universe is with us still, and us with it in synchronicity. There’s a grand trine in air signs, as the Moon connects Saturn and Mercury for a short two hours that could have a lasting impact. Ceres in Taurus separates from the conjunction aspect with Uranus, leaving behind the revolutionary aspirations, an indication that the summer season ahead will lead to a flowering of cultural change.  Younger generations are energized as reforms seem to favor their goals. Chiron is semi-sextile to Uranus, as some wisdom is incorporated in the radical changes taking place. Ceres is semi-sextile to Mercury retro in Gemini, with communication for adjustments. Saturn retro separates from the square aspect to Uranus, as political powers are less likely to engage in conflict.

Sun trine Moon at an Anaretic Degree

Washington, DC

Sunday June 20th — The Moon makes a trine aspect to the Sun overnight for US time zones, in the afternoon for Europe and Israel, at the critical, anaretic 29 deg of the air signs Gemini (Sun) and Libra (Moon).  The Moon ingress to Scorpio later in the day, while the Sun ingress to Cancer is close to midnight in the US and early morning hour in Europe and Israel. While thinking through positions, the decision made now may not comport with the process beforehand. During a Void-of-Course Moon, the hour before the Moon ingress to Scorpio, finalized agreements should not be made. Yet, if this is a day off, more time can be used to consider plans, discussions could take place at home or among close associates. Pressures remain on the economic front, as limitations are gradually released. Chiron is semisextile to Uranus, as some wisdom is incorporated in the radical changes taking place. Ceres is semi-sextile to Mercury retro in Gemini, signals communication for adjustments.

Jerusalem, Israel

Monday June 21st —  The Moon in Scorpio moves to the opposition aspect with Uranus in Taurus. Open conflicts threaten violence. With Saturn retro in Aquarius, square aspect to both the Moon and Uranus, efforts are made to control attacks, and placate both sides of the issue with legal measures and community actions.  Preparation and restraints may be applied as the Moon is disposed of by Pluto in Capricorn. Security forces are on hand. The Moon opposition aspect to Uranus could trigger violence anywhere in the world.

Tuesday June 22nd — A Grand-trine configuration forms overnight in the US, and morning hours in Israel (6AM) with the Moon trine aspect to Venus in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces. While trine aspects in water signs are  not volatile, they can increase the emotional reactions to events. Preparations for a Flag Day in Jerusalem were made to minimalize the effect on Arab communities. Hopefully, that change will be successful in preventing violence. Later in the day, the Sun trine aspect to Jupiter retro could expand the success of the day. The Moon ingress to Sagittarius in the afternoon hours is quincunx aspect to the Sun and square aspect to Jupiter retro, as political and religious sensitivities could erupt. With the Sun transiting to the trine aspect with Jupiter retro in Pisces, ruffled feathers could be mollified.

Solar Eclipse on the Horizon — June 9-16 2021

Overview

The Solar eclipse on Thursday morning 10:54 GMT is an event that takes place in the early morning hours in the US, although close to noon in Europe and Mid-Eastern countries, later in the day for the Far East. Increase vigilance to prevent violence is con-currently implemented this week. The eclipse degree in the Tropical zodiac in use today, is 19° 47 ‘ of Gemini. In many ways, we are opening a new chapter as far as public discourse, including Internet rules of permissible language. This week also, Saturn is retrograde approaching the square aspect to Uranus, an indication that limitations (Saturn) on radical (Uranus) forms (Taurus) of expression (Gemini) are applied. While the exact aspect occurs on the 15th (Tuesday), the influence is in evidence all week.   The Moon transits to conjunction aspects to Rahu, Sun, Mercury retro in Gemini, and Venus and Mars in Cancer, and into Leo where it makes an opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Aquarius.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday June 9thThe Moon in a conjunction aspect with Rahu helps us chose a medium of expression. By writing or speaking, thoughts become more organized, arranged by category, especially in conjunction with the development of a professional style. Creative writing and musical forms of expression are also enhanced, as conversational and communication styles improve.  The New Moon eclipse overnight brings a new awareness of communication forms.

New Moon – Solar Eclipse
June 10, 2021

Thursday June 10th — The New Moon may be accompanied by earthquakes, real or metaphorically. The newly elected government in Israel takes office during a time fraught with controversy and discord. The SunMoon and Mercury conjunction at 19-20° Gemini, a diversity with a dual leadership, no clear policy seems to emerge. Mars in Cancer moves beyond the opposition aspect with Pluto that produced conflict and rejection, ingress to Leo overnight could lead to an end of self-pity in favor of self-aggrandizement.  Saturn in Aquarius with a retrograde motion approaches a close square aspect to Uranus in Taurus. Friction and upheavals may be limited, or suppressed, and innovation denied. Economic policies hit the hard nose of limits on unbounded acquisition.

Friday June 11th — The Moon in Cancer is trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces, indicating greater reform with empathy and understanding of the underdog or disabled citizens. Saturn continues to ply the harsh square aspect to Uranus, a squeeze on unbounded wealth applied by authorities.  Taxation returns are needed to fund programs for recovery. Chiron semisextile to Uranus as some entities feel the pinch.  Voluntary charity is not adequate. The Moon is in a conjunction aspect with Venus in Cancer later in the day, or overnight, depending on your location on the earth, as Mars ingress to Leo. The Moon is squares aspect to Chiron in Aries and sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus. Care and pride are felt as help is extended to the victims of natural disasters and the pandemic.

Saturday June 12th — Treading softly, with Mars in Leo an asset if not too flagrant, benefits can be obtained with the quincunx aspect to Jupiter over the next few days. Flagrant abuses need to be identified, as Saturn square aspect to Uranus intensifies.  Saturn is quincunx aspect to the Moon/Venus conjunction in Cancer – as domestic home-front issues demand sensitivity. Uranus, sextile aspect to Moon/Venus, may indicate a reversal of policy dealing with economic distress. Limitations on government spending gain support. Mars in Leo is disposed of by the Sun in Gemini, allowing for flexibility in targeted goals.

Sunday June 13th — The Sun in Gemini is in a square aspect to Neptune in Pisces, as contagious diseases are investigated. The Moon in Cancer makes an opposition aspect to Pluto in Capricorn, drawing from the collective experience, individuals seek compensation. Meanwhile, social programs are implemented to promote healing. Venus, now alone as the Moon transits into Leo, is sextile aspect to Uranus and quincunx aspect to Saturn. Issues are refined, as Saturn is disposed of by Uranus, a revolutionary approach to domestic relations is proposed.  The Moon in a conjunction aspect to Mars in Leo, awakens pride and diversity with the dispositor, Sun in Gemini. Creative forms of expression find appreciation.

Monday June 14thSaturn retro in Aquarius reaches partile square aspect to Uranus in Taurus, forcing sanctions on radical powers involving international trade. The Moon in Leo transits to the opposition aspect to Saturn, forming a T- square in fixed signs. The life of the planet earth, as well as the future of human generations is endangered. The T-square lasts but a few hours, but serves as a warning to leaders not to disregard the signs of environmental decay. Mars in Leo approaches the quincunx aspect to Jupiter in Pisces, magnifying the environmental concerns, conflicting disregard for wasteful practices with and the health of the environment.

Tuesday June 15th — The close aspect of Saturn square to Uranus forces us to particularize the contradiction inherent in practices of consumption, as Mars in Leo is quincunx aspect to Jupiter in Pisces. The quincunx aspect represents situations that are difficult to resolve, due to the dis-similarities of the signs involved, so that a contradiction could erupt.  There is a lack of common ground. The Moon is also in drama loving Leo, while quincunx aspect to Neptune in Pisces, reminding us of the universal principles of recycling energy.  Leo wants to be seen and heard, while Pisces contains the spiritual wisdom of the ages. Being dramatic is contradictory here, as the situation calls for careful analysis and wisdom. Shakespeare brought social and political truths to the theater, so that he was in fact, dramatizing the undercurrent of life. Art should be a mirror to see ourselves in a greater drama than our individual lives. We do need meaningful drama to move the culture forward.

Resolving Power Oppositions — June 2-9 2021

Persistent gun violence resulting in mass murders is a plague that is out of control in the US. Legal ambiguities allow pro-gun activists to block legislation for sensible gun control. Neptune is in the 9th House of the US chart of Independence (Sibly chart) denotes legal ambiguity. And a quincunx aspect to the Moon in Aquarius is significant for the personal liberties enshrined in the Founding Fathers’ declaration, to ensure freedom from tyranny. Unfortunately, the tyranny of the loose gun is murdering freedom, the opposite of the intention of the founders.   Gun control is necessary for freedom and liberty to prevail. Mars in Cancer trine aspect to Neptune is superseded while Mars approaches the opposition aspect to Pluto this week. Venus ingress to Cancer on June 2nd, as we become more receptive. Mars (focused action=investigation) takes a stronger stand against suppression (Pluto).

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

The Moon in Pisces is square aspect to the Sun in Gemini early today. We can feel apprehensive about the direction we are choosing, as an era of distortions ends.  Venus ingress to the sensitive sign of Cancer, while aggressive Mars in Cancer separates from Neptune in Pisces to realign with Pluto in Capricorn with the opposition aspect.  The Moon transits to the conjunction aspect with Neptune, while Mars retro in Gemini makes a square aspect to the escapist planet Neptune.  We should go back and check facts, as a course correction may be in order.

Thursday June 3rdMercury retro in Gemini is square aspect to Neptune in Pisces. Investigations uncover misleading data.  The Moon is sextile aspect to Pluto while Mars approaches the opposition aspect to Pluto. Venus in Cancer and in a trine aspect to Jupiter in Pisces brings benefits in overcoming adversity. Mars opposition aspect to Pluto uncovers hidden resources.  Oppressive policies are challenged. The Moon ingress to Aries with new initiatives are offered.  The Sun in Gemini is in a trine aspect to Saturn retro in Aquarius, as conscious matters flow through formalities, easing the way with a path for victory.

Friday June 4thMars in Cancer and in an opposition aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn while Saturn retro is square aspect to Uranus. Both aspects are approaching partile, with less than a one-degree orb, activated over the next few days. These two planetary aspects involving the fateful transSaturn spheres, indicates a conclusion of matters with a culmination of events over the next few days, that set the circumstances for the next cycle. Saturn-Uranus square aspect is likely to change the socio-economic future for a generation. This might include voting rights that determine representation in legislation, or agreements in coalition matters and power struggles. If an end-point is reached, and matters settled, it will remain in place for 3-4 years. Saturn square aspect to Uranus could limit progress, possibly until the end of December, when the aspect recurs, while Mars continues without revisiting the opposition aspect for two years.  The Moon in Aries makes a conjunction aspect with Chiron, and concurrently, a sextile aspect to the Sun in Gemini and sextile to Saturn in Aquarius, extending the trine aspect of the Sun to Saturn, resulting in a talent triangle configuration. Personalities arise to settle conflicts and make adjustments that meet the required limits. Budgetary matters could be settled. Venus in Cancer is trine aspect to Jupiter in Pisces, a sweetener to reach a conclusion.

T-square configuration
May 5, 2021

Saturday June 5th — As the goal direction energy of Mars in Cancer, concerned with care for children, teaching and nourishing for the future, Pluto in Cap blocks rapid progress with legal restrictions and formalities.  The Moon in Aries at the focal point of the Tsquare configuration [see chart above], could break the deadlock, in offering a solution. Mercury retro in Gemini is square aspect to Neptune in Pisces, as conspiracies collapse, the Moon is sextile aspect to Mercury for appropriate timing of intervention, and semi-sextile to Neptune in Pisces, discouraging more dis-information. Saturn in Aquarius is square aspect to Uranus in Taurus with more pressure and discord in financial matters, as attempts to reduce expenditures become a priority.

Sunday June 6th — The Moon ingress to Taurus is sextile aspect to Jupiter in Pisces and Venus in Cancer. Matters are settled amicably with the emergence of a talented personality, creating goodwill to settle disagreements. Mars transcends the opposition aspect to Pluto, moving forward from the impasse.  The Moon transits to the conjunction aspect with Uranus overnight US time zones and early Monday morning in England, Europe and the Mideast. The square aspect of Saturn to Uranus is ignited. Attempts are made to overturn (Uranus) standard procedures in forming government offices or reversing standing legislation (Saturn).

Monday June 7th — The Moon in Taurus semi-sextile to the Sun in Gemini pre-sages the up-coming New Moon eclipse early on Thursday at 19 ° 46’ Gemini. Saturn retro in Aquarius and square aspect to Uranus in Taurus is exact within a quarter of a degree at the New Moon, at its strongest impact the effect could be significant for the entire soli-lunar cycle. Plan for a serious look at objectives and goals for the near future.

Tuesday June 8th — The Moon in Taurus sextile aspect to Neptune early in the day and in a mutual reception aspect with its dispositor Venus in Cancer, could put a focus on emotional stability, or the lack of.  The Moon is trine aspect to Pluto and sextile aspect to Mars in Cancer, implementing decisions, with a well-seasoned hand in practical matters, aware of bias and relative value of the parties involved. The Moon ingress to Gemini in the afternoon or evening hours, depending on your location, and a square aspect to Jupiter in Pisces, as doubts begin to creep up.  Saturn is half a degree to the exact square aspect to Uranus as critical divisions remain.

Greater Clarity Brings Reversals — May 26 – June 2, 2021

The Full Moon in Sagittarius on Wednesday is eclipsed by the Sun.

Full Moon eclipse
May 26, 2021

There is an exact alignment at 21 deg north declination, as well as an opposition aspect by longitude. In locations where this occurs before sunrise or after sunset, the lunar eclipse will be visible to the naked eye. The Universal Time (UT) of the eclipse is 11:15, so England, Europe and Middle Eastern countries will not be able to observe the eclipse. In the western hemisphere, the eclipse will be visible before dawn (although the East Coast of the US could miss out). However, the astrological implications are the same everywhere. With Saturn now in retrograde phase, the square aspect to Uranus increases this week as the two are doubly approaching the aspect, reaching partile on June 15. Mercury in Gemini enters retrograde phase on May 30th, when it is in a conjunction aspect to Venus. Venus continues in a direct phase, with its ingress to Cancer on June 2nd.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday May 26thThe Full Moon aspect connects Sagittarius with the Sun in Geminimutable signs (image included). The preceding New Moon on May 11th was in Taurus and part of a stellium, so now at the Full Moon we can find help to adjust the issues involved. Political issues, issues of philosophical or religious importance, are raised to solve seemingly intractable disagreements. Legal and political wrangling over the path forward for a fractured nation continue. Saturn retro in Aquarius, square aspect to Uranus in Taurus, narrows arguments to focus on transforming the status quo. Ceres semi-square to Neptune indicates urgent care needed for young people injured. Self-healing is recommended now to help resolve emotional pain.

Thursday May 27th — The Moon in Sadge with an opposition aspect to Venus and Mercury in Gemini, after the quincunx aspect to Mars in Cancer, as follow-up discussions are polarized. Neptune in Pisces at the mid-point of the opposition aspects making the T-square in mutable signs, reduces the likelihood of an outcome that is actionable. Pain is felt universally. Options for a reversal of status are slowly eliminated with Saturn in Aquarius plying the square aspect to Uranus in Taurus. Uranus is the dispositor of Saturn, seeking to up-end power structures. Uranus is disposed of by Venus in Gemini, disposed of by Mercury, also in Gemini, as a final dispositor. Information gathering is the goal of the mission. The Moon ingress Capricorn overnight, early on Friday in the eastern hemisphere. A sextile aspect from the Moon to Jupiter in Pisces shows promise for completing the route.

Friday May 28th — The Moon in Capricorn is quincunx aspect to the Sun in Gemini. With creative approaches, roadblocks can be navigated. Tension and anxiety are often the result of a defeatist attitude.  Searching for a workable solution finds success. The Moon in a trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus indicates a reversal of stance, especially in media reports, as Venus is the dispositor of Uranus in Taurus, and Mercury in Gemini the final dispositor. Venus and Mercury are now in a conjunction aspect in Gemini, reaching partile overnight, as Mercury enters its retrograde phase on Sunday.

Saturday May 29th — The Moon in Capricorn is in an opposition aspect to Mars in Cancer, while Mars is trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces. The Moon is the dispositor of Mars. Defensive actions gain acceptance with more clarity. The Moon in a sextile aspect to Neptune indicates work on disinformation, seeking to reform policies as the Moon reaches the conjunction aspect with Pluto retro in Cap. Mercury in Gemini goes into the retrograde phase in the early morning hours, a synchronism to a reversal in media reports. The Moon ingress to Aquarius follows.

Sunday May 30th — The Moon in Aquarius is in a trine aspect to the Sun by early afternoon, EDT. Mars in Cancer is trine aspect to Neptune, deflating aggressive portrayals.  Venus in Gemini is quincunx aspect to Pluto in Cap, while Mercury retro in Gemini in a square aspect to Neptune in Pisces exposing illusions.  The Sun in Gemini is in a conjunction aspect with Rahu (the north lunar node), propelling a spin on media reports. Mars in Cancer (disposed of by the Moon in Aquarius), and trine aspect to Neptune that could inflame activists with calls for revenge.

Monday May 31st — The Moon in Aquarius is trine aspect to the Mercury retro and, a few hours later, to Venus in Gemini adding clarity to issues as Mars in Cancer transcends the trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces.  The Moon was quincunx aspect to Mars two hours earlier, possibly indicating events instilling doubt to the authenticity of motivations for aggressive actions. The Moon trine aspect to Venus and conjunction aspect with Jupiter in Pisces, as good fortune follows a change of heart.

Tuesday June 1st — The Sun in Gemini approaches the trine aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, as pressure is mounting, and Saturn applies to the square aspect to Uranus in Taurus, seeking to exchange policy for enlightened universal principles over conservative politics, putting correctness before personal advantage. Mars in Cancer approaches the opposition aspect to Pluto retro in Cap, potentially undermining past policies and with a reversal of public opinion. Mercury in a square aspect to Neptune, a reversal of alliance in the media takes place with the Moon in Pisces square aspect to the Sun in Gemini, and sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus. If you‘ve had it wrong, get it right now. Change is a necessary ingredient for progress. Venus ingress to Cancer late in the day is then disposed by the Moon in Pisces. Loyalties become entrenched.
