Toxic Institutions Face Dismantling – June 10-17 2020

Although the crisis season has not passed, more are sure to unfold over the next several weeks with Jupiter approaching a conjunction aspect with Pluto, we need to focus on progress. Jupiter will supersede Pluto about the 1st of July, turning direct motion in September and will transit Pluto again in early November. A breathing space seems likely from the middle of July until the end of October, a welcome relief from the intensity, and a time to regain energy to refocus on the election campaigns.  For this week, the defund the police campaign takes hold, as the Moon transits Mars and Neptune in Pisces. Mars becomes less outer directed than lethal in the mutable water sign of Pisces, and in conjunction with Neptune the dismantling of institutions that have decayed is taking place with this conjunction at the 3rd quarter lunar phase. This phase of the lunar cycle represents a crisis in implementation of the lessons of the cycle. The Sun in a quincunx aspect to Pluto and Jupiter on the 15th of June as efforts to adjust the impact of the zeitgeist of defunding and dismantling institutions are likely to be successful, with the Moon in a sextile aspect to Mercury in Cancer. While small steps in the right direction can be applauded, much more needs to be done. Mercury will turn retrograde on Jun 18th for a review of the past few weeks.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday June 10th – The Moon in Aquarius is trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to the Sun in Gemini, as the 3rd quarter crisis phase approaches.  We are more inclined to accept and analyze diverse viewpoints or see what is advantageous in efforts to rebuild from sustained decay.  The puzzle peices start to fit together. The Moon in Taurus is in a sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Mercury in Cancer, as we use mental energy to find ways to preserve resources. How is each crisis related to the pandemic? At this point in time, an opportune moment is presented, with so many closures, to rebuild for a more equitable future.  The Sun in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune in Pisces, and Mars approaching the conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Neptune, the festering suffering of the oppressed is thrust into the open.

Thursday June 11th – The Moon in Pisces as Mars closes in on the conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Neptune in Pisces. In the sign of Capricorn, Jupiter is about one and a half degree from the conjunction aspect with Pluto, a powerful conjunction that coincides with the institutional crisis. While Mars is traditionally considered a malefic and Jupiter a benefic, Mars in Pisces along with Neptune is deflating institutional powers. Jupiter in a conjunction aspect with Pluto is purifying. Both actions will cause disruptions, disconnections and dissolutions. If this time there are likely to be several steps taken to reform the police, a small beginning with a long road ahead, in hopes of creating positive model for modern democracy.  Uranus in Taurus is flanked by Chiron in Aries and Venus retro in Gemini, with semi-sextile aspects (30 deg, impetus) and a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) from the Moon in Pisces could finally allow for  liberalization measures in economic policy and/or public security issues.

Friday June 12th – As the Moon transits Mars and Neptune conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) in Pisces, a release of suppressed energy helps to continue the process of exposing the ills of society. The response to infectious diseases is increased in intensity, even as social reform exposes more injustice. At the bottom of the curve, the rot in the system is exposed. The Moon continues in Pisces to form a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Pluto and Jupiter conjunction aspect in Capricorn. Exposing the rot helps to purify the pot. More vigorous scrubbing is evidently needed, as Jupiter and Pluto will interact for the entire year.

3rd Quarter Moon Phase
June 13, 2020

Saturday June 13th – The Moon ingress to Aries by mid-day, and a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Saturn in Aquarius could renew a commitment to social change. Chiron in Aries and a semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, impetus) to Uranus in Taurus spurs action for radical change. Venus retro in Gemini is the dispositor of Uranus in Taurus, adding strength to the semi-sextile aspect to Uranus and sextile aspect to Chiron as the three planets begin acting in concert with a cautious approach to change, taming the more radical Uranus.

Sunday June 14th – The Moon in Aries forms a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Chiron, triggering action with a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Venus retro in Gemini, and the semisextile aspect (30 deg, impetus) to Uranus in Taurus.  This seems a courageous display with some restraints on rebellious actions, to simple non-conformity. The voices of Back Lives Matter begin to overwhelm the majority, as the movement moves to mainstream.

Monday June 15th – The Sun in Gemini is in quincunx aspects (150 deg, complex) to Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn, while the Moon in Aries triggers the pair with square aspects (90 deg, harsh). Capricorn is the domicile of Saturn. Saturn in Aquarius and retro, is disposed of by Uranus in Taurus. The corruption in policies and the over- use of police powers is at the crux of the crisis. The Moon’s position in Aries indicates that reforms may be initiated, as protests continue with a more focused impact. The Moon in a sextile aspect to the Sun with a more unified approach to a movement gathering strength.

Tuesday June 16th – The Moon in Taurus, the domicile of Venus, and in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn in Aquarius, as economic activities resume after the induced closures of the pandemic. Venus speaks in Gemini, especially concerning community values. The Moon transits to Uranus in Taurus, as painful outpourings of abuse and historical systemic discrimination continue, with a challenge to the ideals of the nation, and the ideals of democracy.  Late in the day, the Moon is in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Uranus. Reversals in policy follow the radicalized protests. Mars has superseded Neptune in Pisces and now approaches the square aspect to Pluto and Jupiter in Cap. This could enflame the as pressures for reform collide with ta spike in the spread of the pandemic.
