The New Moon on Thursday – Wednesday night in the western hemisphere – is in the first decant of Taurus. A square aspect to Saturn in Aquarius “afflicts” the New Moon. The influence brings challenges for the cycle, perhaps limiting the gain in health and economy. The Moon and Sun will transit to a conjunction aspect with Uranus in one and 3 days respectively, with efforts to reverse the trend. A reversal in trends would be welcome now. All planets are in direct motion, except for the lunar nodes. Pluto turns retrograde on Sunday, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn will reverse motion in May. They are in a pre-shadow phase, as the reverse motion will bring them over the current positions in the weeks ahead. The third transit over the same locations follows later in the year, according to each planet’s speed and cycle. No doubt that the decisions we are now making will be reviewed in the next few weeks. Slow moving Saturn will return to the sign of Capricorn at about July 1st. We will have to retrace our steps and actions to correct deviations in plans for action over the next few weeks.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday April 22nd – The Moon ingress Taurus at 19:37 GMT or 15:37 EDT and 11:37 PDT. The New Moon is at 2:27 GMT on April 23rd, 22:27 EDT on 22nd of April, or 18:27 PDT. We might agree on policy to end the intractable conflict, planting the seeds of tomorrow. Health and economy are intertwined now more than ever. Nature and natural laws must be understood in order to succeed in the goal of economic health. We must recognize that our personal goals are less important than universal health. Destroying the national health system was the wrong thing to do. Now it must be resurrected. Everyone suffers during a pandemic. If you are not a victim of the disease, you suffer as a member of the social or national unit you belong to. You suffer as the economy takes a tail spin. You cannot fix the economy without healing the disease. The stimulus programs to address the economic loss, are the responsibility of the nations to respond to the crisis. This week should begin the health and possibly a political recovery phase. Venus in Gemini and Mars in Aquarius in a wide trine aspect (120 deg, flowing), and continuing for several weeks, indicates a good relationship between workers of both genders to give health care and other tasks necessary in overcoming the crisis. As the seaman’s call goes, all hands on board to save the sinking ship.

April 23, 2020
Thursday April 23rd – The Moon in Taurus transits to a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Uranus in the early hours of the day, and Neptune in Pisces makes a semi-square aspect to the conjunction. The detraction from the critical outbreak may come from the nay-sayers, those who are opposed to the process, those who are anxious to restart the economy for personal gain. It is a disillusionment that could upset the focus on goals. A semi-sextile aspect from the Moon to Chiron in Aries follows, as rational responses to the attempted diversions are made. A square aspect (90 deg, harsh) from the Moon to Mars in Aquarius late in the night, or daytime in the eastern hemisphere, a challenge to the scientific efforts to regain normalcy could derail the progress. Ceres ingress to Pisces, as humanitarian gestures increase over the next few months.
Friday April 24th – The Moon in Taurus is sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Neptune in Pisces. Neptune is symbolic of a spread of disease, of psychic phenomena and discontent. It disperses rather than gathers. Releases rather than gains. While empathy and selfless actions are also in Neptune’s symbolism, it is at the most evolved expression that selfless service is performed. We have the entire range of the effects of Neptune transferred into the scene, with the pandemic being the most visible, and selfless service of volunteers on the scene providing emergency services at the most evolved level. The Moon in a sextile aspect to Neptune provides an avenue of expression for the virus to spread, and perhaps be contained and modified by the response of responsible workers. Venus in Gemini and Mars in Aquarius continue to relate in a wide-angle trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) as communication (air signs) is facilitated through electronic transmission (Mars in Aquarius). News reports on the Internet provide free access to informative articles. While dis-information is also disseminated with the Neptune sextile aspect to the Moon, the reader has the responsibility to select the most credible sources. The Sun in Taurus is approaching the conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Uranus. This is likely to be another shocking revelation, a reversal or upset in economic terms and health related. As oil prices slump with decreased demand, other industries are being impacted. Mercury in Aries approaches the square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Pluto in Capricorn, with orders given to quell rebellion.
Saturday April 25th – The Moon ingress to Gemini and a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Saturn in Aquarius indicates that the more radical protests are refocused, or possibly shut down. Limitations on travel and social gatherings are enforced. Mercury in Aries is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Pluto and Jupiter, igniting the close conjunction aspect of this powerful pair in Capricorn. The coronavirus pandemic will run its course according to the laws of nature. Scientific measures can contain the effect and contamination. Human actions could be predictable and compliant with natural and human psychological principles. The range of human reactions is varied and extremes are witnessed now. The Sun’s conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Uranus reaches partile (exact conjunction, 0 deg) later in the day. A major conflict of interest results in a rebellion. The Sabian Symbol for 6 deg Taurus is of “a bridge in construction across a canyon.” The interpretation given is “The conquest of difficulties and limitations by intelligence. Directed efforts to solving a problem” (Dane Rudhyar – The Astrology of Personality). For the 7th deg of Taurus, the location of the partile conjunction of the Sun and Uranus, “A woman in Samaria comes to draw from a well.” Rudhyar explains this image as a “gaining of perspective by a return to ancient sources of being. Introspective approach to collective unconscious.” Thus said, applying the recommended procedures increases health as water is symbolic of life.
Sunday April 26th – The Moon in Gemini is in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Venus, and a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Mars in Aquarius follows, activating responses with an outpouring of emotion. The Moon then transits to the square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune in Pisces, as a surge in illness is reported. Suffering is recognized as widespread as new efforts to reach out through advanced technology helps to cope with the increased personal and spiritual need. Pluto in Cap turns retrograde as the pandemic and the illness spread becomes internalized in the collective unconscious. The mutation of the virus resulting in new symptoms would also be indicated by Pluto, as a regenerative force, taking new forms. Political regeneration is also an outcome of this configuration.
Monday April 27th – The Moon in Gemini is in a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn. New methods of communication and treatment for the wider reach of those affected around the world are implemented as the Moon is sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Mercury in Aries. The Moon ingress to Cancer follows, with a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Ceres in Pisces, and conjunction aspect to Rahu (the north lunar node). This could indicate nurturing as a healing source, although with Rahu and Pluto retro, there could be an increased severity in the ability to cure the disease. A sectile aspect from the Moon to Mercury, Uranus and the Sun in Taurus as we process more information about the conflicts and possibly the nature of the disease. Mercury ingress to Taurus could promote efforts for revising health and financial security. Moon in a square aspect to Chiron in Aries indicates that home remedies conflict with recommendations.
Tuesday April 28th – Mercury in Taurus and a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn in Aquarius presents a conflict. A probable misunderstanding or disagreement that is difficult to overcome helps to particularize the issues. Moon in a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Neptune in Pisces and quincunx aspect to Mars in Aquarius, creates some confusion about the procedures. Intuitive practices, and information that is acquired from sources that have an emotional appeal need to be aligned with proven methods.
