Pride and Power – July 28-August 4 2021

Overview

The Moon in Aries forms trine aspects to Mercury and the Sun in Aries, while Mars in Aires moves toward the opposition aspect with Jupiter retrograde, doubly approaching.  Achieving goals increases pride. Jupiter retrogrades to ingress Aquarius on Thursday, as the partile opposition aspect to Mars at 29 deg of Leo. Goals are aggrandized under this aspect, also seeming elusive, as Mars ingress to Virgo, initiates practical measures, while the Moon is trine to the planets in Virgo. On Saturday, Mercury approaches the conjunction aspect with the Sun in Leo, with the Moon in Taurus approaching the conjunction aspect with Uranus. Success and upsets at the Olympics seem to be evident in the timing. The Sun in an opposition aspect to Saturn in Aquarius on Monday and Tuesday  is a challenge, with Mercury trine to Chiron and Venus trine Uranus gives the world of sports its greatest triumph.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday July 28th — Mars in Leo approaches the opposition aspect to Jupiter retro in Pisces, as Jupiter transits into Aquarius. This is the most significant aspect of the week. Ceres at 29 deg of Taurus is the focal point of the opposition aspect, seeking to balance the opponents with youthful charm. The Moon in Aries indicates that ambitions are strong, with trine aspects to Mercury and the Sun in Leo.  Although success seems assured, challenges remain as the Moon is in the complex quincunx aspects to Mars and Venus in Virgo. Mars remains in Leo at 29 deg.  Jupiter in Aquarius indicates a more collective response to aggressive Mars behavior. At the same time, the enhanced Mars encourages more focused actions. Encouraging people to get vaccinated, or competing for Olympic gold, are related in this sky signature.   The final score matters. The Moon in Aries is sextile aspect to Saturn late in the day as more concerted effort is applied.

Thursday July 29th — The MarsJupiter opposition aspect reaches partile today, at the 29 anaretic degrees, and Ceres is at the anaretic deg of Taurus, adding to tension and excitement at the Olympic games. The urgency to inoculate younger people as well as those who were hesitant, reaches a high point.  It is critical for the fight against the pandemic that all eligible people receive the jab x2 in most cases.  Venus in Virgo doubly approaches the quincunx aspect with Saturn in Aquarius, as creative measures are taken to encourage the vaccine hesitant.

Friday July 30thMars ingress to Virgo early today, as goals shift from dramatic wins to practical victories. The Moon in Aries helps to drive the energy for achievement. Venus in Virgo and quincunx aspect to Saturn in Aquarius seeks status in artisanship. The Moon in Aries reaches the square aspect to Pluto by evening (Japan time). Reactions then intensify after the day’s contests. In the US (EDT) the Moon square Pluto aspect happens at 6 am. Challenging situations reach a point of conflict. The Moon transits into Taurus by afternoon US time zones.

Saturday July 31st — Back in D.C., the Moon in Taurus is in a square aspect to Mercury and the Sun this morning. The wow effect of the Olympic gymnastics sets in, as the Moon transit Uranus by evening. Venus in Virgo is trine aspect to the Moon, encouraging artistic expression.  Jupiter backing into Aquarius awakens world viewers to the multi-cultural events. The Delta variant of covid surges. Mercury reaches the conjunction aspect with the Sun in Leo for greater mental co-ordination, or coherence. As Mercury and the Sun approach the opposition aspect to Saturn, we find ourselves attempting to balance the loss and gain.

Sunday August 1stMercurySun conjunction aspect reaches partile today, with the opposition aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, that could limit the extent of the Leo power. The Sun is in its home in Leo, while Saturn is the traditional ruler of Aquarius, before Uranus was applied.  While the focus on the achievements of the Olympics brings a source of national pride, the contests become elevated, an element of conflict creeps in. Ceres ingress to Gemini transcends the square aspect to Jupiter retro in Aquarius, while Mars moves ahead in Virgo, and events begin to unfold.

Monday August 2ndMercury transcends the conjunction aspect in Leo and the opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Aquarius. Mercury in Leo represents the inspiration for the colorful reports producing creativity in communication.  The Moon ingress to Gemini increases active communication. The Moon in a square aspect to Mars in Virgo responds to critical complaints. Analysis of events reaches a high-point late in the day as the Moon is trine aspect to Saturn in Aquarius and sextile aspect to the Sun and Mercury in Leo, a sextile aspect to Chiron in Aries and a square aspect to Venus in Virgo. Artistic talent is displayed at its best. Venus isthen in a trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus for an incredible display.

Tuesday August 3rd — While Venus in Virgo is in a trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus today, The Sun and Mercury in Leo are in a square aspect to Uranus, activating creative competition and/or conflict. Chiron in Aries is trine aspect to the SunMercury in Leo, drawing the constructive analysis, and prolonging the Sun and Mercury in a conjunction aspect. The world becomes more united, as conflicts subside.
