Overview

The New Moon in Leo initiates an opportunity to be creative. The seed of this cycle was sown in the final stages of the previous lunation, as the foundation of the new cycle is found in the balsamic phase of the old. Here the previous New Moon was at 24 deg Cancer, on the 17^th of July. The Full Moon of this cycle is on the 31^st of August in the sign of Virgo. We can feel satisfied with our lives at this moment, although we need to actualize what seems new and undeveloped, for Leo Sun and Moon at the seed moment fecundate this cycle with a vision for the future beyond this cycle. From the New Moon, there is a void-of-course Moon for almost 14 hours. This unusually lengthy void-of-course Moon cautions us not to open new business or sign employment contracts. This should be a relaxing time, a time to think over the past and prepare for the future, although this is not a good time to commit to a new venture. Save that for the next day or two.  At the crescent Moon, we can begin to organize thoughts and activities to reach an anticipated goal. Uranus is square aspect to the Sun in Leo as Mars is trine aspect to Uranus.  With a semi-sextile aspect to the Sun, Mars pushes forward an agenda. A Yod formation on Sunday, as Venus approaches the square aspect to Jupiter in Taurus, a challenge for the extreme wealth of some public officials. Mars in an opposition aspect to Neptune on Tuesday and Wednesday, so that a possibility presents to finding better solutions.

Wednesday August 16^th — New Moon at 09:39 UT (05:39 EDT) in Leo [see chart insert above], fixed–fire sign, Sun is the ruler of Leo. The Sun and Moon are square aspect to Uranus, semi-sextile aspect to Mars, indicating a spur to action. The Moon then transits to reform the Yod that has dominated over the past week, quincunx aspects to Neptune and Pluto, drawing the two outer planets into an effective sextile aspect, an indication of a fatalistic event. Mercury in Virgo is quincunx aspect to Chiron in Aries, as truth is analyzed.  Moon ingress Virgo 23:15 UT and makes an opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces.

Thursday August 17^th — Venus retro in Leo approaches the square aspect to Jupiter in Taurus. Mars in Virgo trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus, semi-sextile aspect to the Sun in Leo, as the Sun is in a separating square aspect to Uranus. The afterglow of the configurations and the synchronistic event continues today. The Moon in Virgo makes a trine aspect to Jupiter in Taurus late in the day.

Friday August 18^th — Mars in Virgo with a separating trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus, as the Moon makes conjunction aspects to Mercury and Mars, strengthening the Mars trine aspect to Uranus. Criticism and analysis cannot deflate the impact of Mars trine Uranus, in earth signs, grounded in analytical research [see chart insert]. The Moon makes an opposition aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces and a grand–trine configuration in earth signs with trine aspects to Uranus and Pluto retro in Capricorn, implementing a response of wonder, and a downward spiral for some caught in a legal dragnet.

Saturday August 19^th — The Moon ingress to Libra morning hours (US time zones) afternoon in EU and Asia (11:54 UT). The quincunx aspect to Saturn follows a few hours later, with attempts to deflect or deny political charges as the Sun in Leo is quincunx aspect to Neptune in Pisces.  Venus retro in Leo slowly advances to the square aspect with Jupiter in Taurus, as empathy is sought. Anger may be expressed as victimization is claimed.

Sunday August 20^th — The Moon in Libra makes a quincunx aspect to Jupiter in Taurus and a simultaneous sextile aspect to Venus retro in Leo, drawing Jupiter and Venus in to a closer square aspect, could indicate counter actions. The Sun in Leo is quincunx aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces, as incongruous attempts for empathy are made. Advantage taken by those who are advantaged is egregious form of empathy. A grand-trine configuration is forming, with Mars in Virgo trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus and trine aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn. Venus retro doubly approaching a square aspect to Jupiter in Taurus, as Jupiter slows to turn retro on September 5^th.

Monday August 21^st — The Moon in Libra makes a quincunx aspect to Uranus in Taurus and then a conjunction aspect with Ketu, and a quincunx aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces. Responses to legal actions could range from outrage to victimizations. Moon makes a sextile aspect to the Sun in Leo and square aspect to Pluto retro in Cap. Mars in Virgo doubly approaches the opposition aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces. Goals directed towards obtaining a balance or retribution could be countered by a lack of interest. As Mars separates from the trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus, Mercury approaches the trine aspect toUranus. Venus retro in Leo square aspect to Jupiter in Taurus reaches partile, as the injured seek redress. The Moon ingress to Scorpio at 23:23 UT, evening hours US time zones.

Tuesday August 22^nd — The Moon in Scorpio makes a trine aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces, as empathy is sought to advantage in a bid to reverse actions. The Moon reaches the opposition aspect to Jupiter late in the day, US time zones, Wednesday morning in the Eastern hemisphere. Monetary rewards, such as refunds, could result, as Venus retro is square aspect to both Jupiter and the Moon. The Sun ingress to Virgo after midnight, US time zones, early morning in Europe and Mideast. Flirtation with extravagant plans ends, as adaptation to a more practical means is taken. Mars reaches in a partile opposition aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces, and trine aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn and Mercury in Virgo in an approaching trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus, as threats to security necessitate precautions.
