Venus, the planet of our idealism in relationships enters the sign of Aries today, while Jupiter in Scorpio slows, turning retrograde on Friday this week. Ground breaking or simply self-promoting, the show goes on. Syrian forces under Assad continue their siege of civilian populations, a cynical attempt to engage the world in his megalomaniac dreams, so with Putin’s backing he continues his deadly sadistic game. As we are entering the Jupiter retrograde period of four months, we are also revisiting the events of the past year. The social movements of #metoo, the push for more regulation of gun ownership, and a dysfunctional administration are due for more discussion and reflection. Two weeks later Mercury takes a turn at a retrograde phase, bringing us into mid- April, turning direct as Saturn and Pluto take a retrograde turn in their journey around the Sun. This pattern suggests progress in working on the social and political issues facing the world, for renegotiation.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday March 7th – Venus as an evening star can inspire us to greater levels of achievement, appearing with Mercury in Aries. The Moon in Scorpio accompanied by Jupiter could certainly bring us goodwill. While Venus is in her fall (opposed to Libra the sign of Venus’ rulership), and thus weakened, in a conjunction with Mercury she adds grace to the message. Mercury the “fleet footed one” is thereby empowered, giving substance to the joy of discovery. In the Internet age, we can appreciate the additional refinement of the message. The Moon is then quincunx to Uranus, as we question everything, the Moon enters Sagittarius as a higher authority speaks out with the trine aspect to Mercury and Venus in Aries.
Thursday March 8th – The Moon in Sag is trine to Ceres, early in the day, with a grand-trine to include Venus and Mercury in Aries. The day begins with a positive flow of energy. Mars in Sag trine to Uranus promises more innovation. Court rulings may also be imminent. Investigations proceed with new discoveries (Venus and Mercury in Aries). Jupiter in Scorpio is trine the midpoint of Sun and Chiron in Pisces, as well as quincunx to Uranus. New information could speed the discovery process. The disseminating 3rd quarter Moon is a crisis stage of processing the cycle’s impact. A shift in the mode or direction can take place today.
Friday March 9th – Jupiter turns retrograde for a four month’s period of gestation. The Moon is conjunct (transits) Mars in Sag, disposed of by Jupiter retro in Scorpio. The courts may be recessed, or begin a deliberation on pending case issues. The Moon enters Capricorn late in the day (US time zones). Mercury is in a trine aspect to Ceres in Leo helps with more creative initiatives for protection of school children. Security begins to be improved in schools and universities.
Saturday March 10th – The Moon transits Saturn in Capricorn with a simultaneous square aspect (90 deg, conflict) to Mercury in Aries as conflicting issues arise. A change in official strategy and focus (Saturn) results from ongoing pressure. The Sun in Pisces is in a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Pluto in Capricorn. The pieces start to fall together to form a clearer picture. Mars trine aspect to Uranus (120 deg, flowing) speeds the distribution phase of processes in action. Power is enhanced and may also be a breakthrough over previous barriers. Testimony from another source changes the overall dynamics.
Sunday March 11th – Staggering revelations threaten officials and institutions, although the loyalty of individual followers remains intact, as allegations have to be proven. The Sun in Pisces is sextile to Pluto in Capricorn, as supporters gather around their leader. If this happens in Russia, the US, China, Israel or all of the above is less certain. Some level of threat is likely in the main power centers. The Moon transit of Pluto late in the day symbolizes the ability to regenerate or rebut allegations.
Monday March 12th – The Sun forms a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Jupiter today, increasing satisfaction while Venus in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn cries foul. Personal gain may tend to discriminate against others, empowering critics. The Moon ingress to Aquarius later in the day as we seek a greater understanding of the issues involved. An opposition (180 deg, tense) to Ceres in Leo follows, as human rights issues are addressed.
Tuesday March 13th – The Moon in Aquarius in a sextile aspect to Mercury and Venus in Aries could be implemental in gathering of like-minded individuals. Increased debate on the Internet, increased chatter in Internet trolls are likely as well. With Ketu conj ( 0-2 deg, combines ) the Moon more recessive elements are actively disturbing peace and progress. Mars in Sagittarius and in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Chiron in Pisces could go against implementing legal measures, as there are deeper issues at stake. Long held beliefs are challenged.
