Jupiter Direct for Social Initiative – August 7-14 2019

The Sun and Venus in Leo form trine aspects to Jupiter in Sag this week, as Jupiter prepares to turn direct (apparent) motion on August 11thMercury will ingress to Leo also on the 11th. Again, there are no planets in air signs until the Moon ingress Aquarius on the 13th. We are intent to do and create, although little in the way to advance the national agenda, or inspire continuity of vision for the future. Saturn, Neptune and Pluto remain retrograde while Uranus turns retro on the 11th the same day Jupiter turns direct. True leadership is lacking as we are blocked by powerful enemies, and lack the resources to overcome stagnation. On a personal level, there can be satisfactory outcomes this week, with less interference by authorities and institutions, and little more freedom to enjoy life. Individual initiative to make social change has arrived.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

1st Quarter Moon
August 7, 2019

Wednesday August 7thAt the 1st Quarter Moon in Scorpio (see image) there is a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Venus in Leo, then the Moon moves to a trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces, as gifts of compassion are offered or received. Debts may be forgiven to help the underdog, the struggling masses of humanity. Neptune is sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to the SaturnPluto midpoint in Capricorn, when solutions to the proliferation (Neptune) of weapons are pressing. Jupiter retro in Sag is trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to the Sun in Leo, indicating more power given to political advocates, creative ventures and sports.  Generosity in love and reciprocal agreements are likely.

Thursday August 8thVenus in Leo trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Jupiter and conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to the Sun activates a love relationship. Venus with a quincunx aspect to Saturn in Capricorn combines the love with reality, requiring an artful approach. The Moon in Scorpio and in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mars in Leo puts some difficulty in the path to transformation. Disagreements may arise due to emotional distress. The Moon is then in a trine aspect to Mercury in Cancer, allowing for a compassionate response to resolve injured feelings. Children under stress are given effective therapy to accept tragedy as a part of life experience. The Moon ingress to Sagittarius later in the afternoon.

Friday August 9thVenus quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Saturn in Cap and conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to the Sun in Leo as the Sun moves from the quincunx to Saturn to a quincunx with Neptune in Pisces, actions which seem incompatible with reality are confirmed effective. Actions taken are in accordance with a global understanding of security (Saturn) and mental health (Neptune) interactions. A Yod formation (in this case the Sun quincunx both the midpoint of SaturnPluto and Neptune) with Ketu conjunct the midpoint of SaturnPluto, intensifies the radical nature of the aspects and the resulting influences on humanity. The influence has been active throughout the week, although now the Sun transits to take a more active role in leadership.

Saturday August 10th – We still lack in planets in air signs, and with the Moon in Sag trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Mars in Leo, tempers can run high. Then, with a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Mercury in Cancer from the Moon, emotions seem to run in a contradictory fashion.  Idealism conflicts with protective instincts. Jupiter turns direct motion and the Moon transits into Capricorn late in the day, for a more realistic approach to the issues of the day, although a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus could upset planned announcements.  The Sun in a quincunx aspect to Neptune could represent leaders with mixed messages, and adding to more confusion. Inspiration may result also from this contact, for actions of selfless motivations or creativity. The Yod formation of yesterday is still active today. With Uranus stationary, individual voices are heard loudly.

Sunday August 11thJupiter direct allows for social actions to have a greater effect for advancement of goals. The Moon ingress to Capricorn early hours gives a more concrete basis for leadership to gain authority. A trine aspect from the Moon to Uranus in Taurus (earth signs) as a fresh leadership role is produced. A square aspect (90 deg, harsh) from the Moon to Chiron retro presents a challenge to personal wisdom. Mercury ingress to Leo after midday, as groups coalesce around charismatic leadership, forming a stellium in the sign of Leo. Leadership is needed now. The Yod formation involving the SunVenus conjunction in Leo quincunx aspects (150 deg, challenging) to Neptune in Pisces and SaturnPluto midpoint in Capricorn allows such a leader with sensitivity and purpose to arise.

Monday August 12th – Raw action resonates as Uranus stationary begins a slow retrograde. We may be saturated with the powerful energy, and become more resolved. Venus is in a close conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with the Sun, as the Yod formation wanes, a charismatic glow remains. The Moon transit in Capricorn conjunct to Saturn early in the day, and semisextile aspect (30 deg, quick advantage) to Jupiter in Sag, then moves on to the conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Ketu and Pluto retro. Intense crowds gather to protest political stagnation, with the Moon in a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Neptune in Pisces and quincunx aspect (150 deg, challenging) to the SunVenus conjunction in Leo.

Tuesday August 13th – Leadership contests are underway, as presidential contenders sharpen their rhetoric to gain supporters, with the Moon in Capricorn quincunx (150 deg, complex) to Mars in Leo. Venus conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to the Sun in Leo quincunx Pluto in Capricorn helps to galvanize the message of a chosen candidate. With the Moon ingress to Aquarius at mid-day, an air sign is at last added to the elemental mix. In an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Mercury, the response is voiced through media, as individuals come forth to testify.  Later in the day, radical initiatives may be advanced with the Moon in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus. In the gibbous Moon phase, a day and a half before the Full Moon, care and perseverance are required to overcome the negative forces that challenge our proposed initiatives.

Have a great week!
