This week Uranus is activated by an easy aspect, a 120 deg trine aspect from planets in Leo. Uranus in Aries is also disposed of by Mars, now in Leo. The Leo planets are in turn disposed of by the Sun, currently its own dispositor (in the sign it rules) Leo. The Sun moves into Virgo on the 23rd of August. Virgo is an earth sign, and in accordance with earth, more practical means are used to help combat violence, or stem the flow of combat deaths. Dramatization of issues has brought awareness, but this has not eliminated dangers.
Uranus the the sign of the originality, or the inventor as well as the unconventional figure in public life. Donald Trump, ( b. June 14 1946 ) for example, has Uranus conjunct the Sun in Gemini in his natal chart. Transiting Uranus, at 20 deg Aries, is sextile to the midpoint of his natal Sun-Uranus at 17th and 22nd deg Gemini. With a natal Moon in Sagittarius, opposed to his Sun –Uranus, a Full Moon, and trine to transiting Uranus, his time in the limelight is astrologically predictable. His natal Mars in Leo is also activated, giving him the popularity for his political career. His flamboyant style shows the birth time of 10:54 am is likely correct, as it puts Mars in Leo on his ascendant. This is an outlet for the active persona that we perceive in the media, and the flamboyant style.

Please refer to a full astrological personal reading for how the transits affect your personal life. The following analysis of the week ahead is general. Transits of planets can bring out natal tendencies and by aspect to natal planets, according to the birth chart, give a personal event reading.
Wednesday August 19th – The Moon in opposition to Uranus today, could increase tension, while Venus in a trine aspect to Uranus can help defuse the tense air with a bit of humor, or dramatization of events. Mercury in Virgo is opposed to Chiron in Pisces, as we seek to heal old wounds. Venus sextile aspect to the Moon would help to balance the day by attracting debate, involving adversaries to discuss their differences.
Thursday August 20th – Mercury’s hard aspect to Chiron (opposition), the wounded healer, and a creative aspect (quincunx) to Uranus, could draw out more issues that are puzzling, and entrenched in the universal psyche. Analysis of debates and platforms, opinions and major issues facing us today are open for debate. Solving the difficult problems of immigration, incarceration and poverty face a new administration in DC. Analysis of candidate’s proposals will determine their acceptability to the electorate. The Moon now in Scorpio forms a sextile aspect ( 60 deg) to Jupiter, drawing an audience. A square aspect to Mars in Leo follows, a hard aspect that results in disagreement and a release of power, or possibly a deflation of expectations.
Friday August 21st – The Moon embodies emotions in astrology, as it is a reflective light, and travels quickly around the earth in a protective role. The changes in the lunar face also represent the life giving potential on Earth. In the sign of Scorpio, the emotions are often submerged, held privately and in-depth. In such a field, the square aspect to the Moon from Venus can yield important discoveries about the subconscious motivations. There may be pain involved, but most likely the pain resulting from hidden emotional events. We must heal and regenerate throughout life. The strength of the Sun in Leo is in a square (hard) aspect to Saturn, so that an historical conflict can be settled at last.
Saturday August 22nd– The Moon in a helpful aspect to Ceres (sextile), encounters Saturn today, and will help you focus your attention. Hopefully, you have taken the cues and are on time for this, otherwise, you may be set back. Then the lunar orb is also in the 1st quarter phase, square aspect to the Sun, so a deepening crisis may develop with the Moon in the last degree of Scorpio. In the mid-day hours (US time zones), a ingress to Sagittarius, while in square aspect to Jupiter, is a reminder that good can result from hard work, perhaps an unexpected offer. (wouldn’t that be great!) Still in an expansive work mode, the planets in Leo and Virgo are focused on transition as well.
Sunday August 23rd – The Moon in Sag today is trine to Mars in the morning hours, afternoon in Europe and Mideastern countries. The time zones are more important for the lunar transit’s effect. The Sun is now in Virgo, as we have been preparing the way for a time of greater focus and analysis. Political ambitions reflect a greater joy in service, and with Mars in Leo trine the Moon today in Sag, that goal to serve (Sun in Virgo ruler of Leo) and Jupiter in Virgo (ruler of Sagittarius), and it is more obvious now. Leadership skills include the ability to implement goals that serve the followers, or the public. The Moon trine to Venus retro in Leo is another political lure, to attract enjoyment with clever and off-beat messages.

Monday August 24th – Mercury is in a trine aspect to Ceres (doubly approaching), as analysis of the greater good for the greater number of people continues, and strikes home. Gaining a podium is one thing, but finding solid support for views expressed is another challenge. The Moon is square to Mercury today, as a more detailed critical analysis is made. Virgo is the master of details and analysis.
Tuesday August 25th – With a fortuitous trine from the Moon in Capricorn, the Sun and Jupiter form a bond in Virgo, as plans are in the final stages, perhaps ready to launch a new program or work details for employees. Alliances are made, and honors given to deserving, loyal citizens, or employees. Mercury is also in a sextile aspect to Saturn, as status in increased, or awards for achievements are made. Pride and ceremony are enhanced. I have no idea what annual awards are scheduled for this week, but whatever appointments or awards are given, they are likely to have been under consideration for a long time. The Moon and Pluto in Capricorn are disposed of by Saturn in Scorpio.
Have a wonderful week! Thanks for reading my notes on the planets and luminaries.
