Reversals in material exchange could lead to confusion and open conflict, prior to the New Moon next week on Tuesday. Neptune and the Moon in Cancer are final dispositors, appropriate to the empathy called for to reduce conflicts. As world leaders gather to discuss the European crisis, forces are gathered in opposition. Destruction v. unity is the main topic on the table. At this crucial time for the world environment, time is indeed of the essence. Following the New Moon, the Moon in Leo is in mutual reception with the Sun in Cancer, giving an opportunity for heroic leadership. The Lunar nodes change sign this week as well, the mean node on the 13th and the true node on the 17th.
Looking ahead — The momentary sextile aspect between Neptune and Pluto this week presages the interactions for the next few years, it remains touch and go finally reaching a partile sextile aspect in September 2026 and July 2027, after the two planets ingress the signs Aries and Aquarius.
Summary of major aspects of the week
Wednesday July 12th — The Moon in Taurus transits to a conjunction aspect with Uranus in Taurus and then to a square aspect to Venus in Leo, with conflicting reports. A material reversal leads to a vicious conflict. Venus is quincunx aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces, as veiled threats between superpowers are made. The Sun in Cancer makes a square aspect to Chiron in Aries, as a power conflict becomes even more serious. The Moon is trine aspect to Pluto in Capricorn overnight (US time zones, early on Thursday in Europe and the ME), and then makes the ingress to Gemini. Ceres in Libra is quincunx aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces over the next few days, leading up to the New Moon on the 17th, as we try to balance restrictions and abuse of power.
Thursday July 13th — The Moon in Gemini is square aspect to Mars in Virgo early in the day (afternoon in Europe and the ME), then makes a sextile aspect to Mercury in Leo and sextile aspect to Ceres in Libra, as discussions underway smooth over disagreements. The Moon in a square aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces, possibly bringing about an emotional catharsis. Restrictions are likely to be relaxed, and healing takes place. The Rahu and Ketu, the lunar nodes (mean node positions) ingress the cardinal signs Aries and Libra.
Friday July 14th — The Sun in Cancer makes a favorable sextile aspect to disruptive Uranus in Taurus, as celebrations (Bastille Day) take place. Venus in Leo with pride makes a quincunx aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces to evoke empathy. Excessive pride is curbed by tragic events. Mercury in Leo sextile aspect to Ceres in Libra as to elevate the cause of children affected by wars.
Saturday July 15th — The Moon in Gemini is sextile aspect to Venus in Leo and square aspect to Neptune in Pisces, as Venus is partile quincunx aspect to Neptune. Distortions make empathy difficult. There may be gossip. There may be false accusations. Ceres in Libra is quincunx aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces. With Mars in Virgo, work to resurrect the decay from past neglect, as attempts to balance in judgment (Ceres) meets resistance (Saturn). The Sun in Cancer separates from the sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus, in a self-protective mode, some seek compensation. The Moon ingress to Cancer (17:15 UT) the dispositor of the Sun and in its own sign, presses for legitimacy. The Moon in a trine aspect to Saturn late in the day, morning hours in Europe and ME, could signify a reduction or elimination of stumbling blocks to progress.
Sunday July 16th — The Moon in her sign of rulership Cancer, makes a semi-sextile aspect to Mercury in Leo and a sextile aspect to Jupiter in Taurus, with Mercury square aspect to Jupiter. Mercury is disposed of by the Sun, the Sun is disposed of by the Moon. Mars is disposed of by Mercury while Venus and Mercury are disposed of by the Sun, which is disposed of by the Moon. The Moon and Neptune, in their respective signs of rulership are both final dispositors, dominate the discussions, represented by subjective and trans-personal appeals for mercy.
Monday July 17th — Venus is at the apex of a Yod configuration, bringing the influence of a sextile aspect between Neptune retro in Pisces and Pluto retro in Capricorn into focus. Venus’ transit of the apex is in orb of influence for 3 or 4 days, yet the consequences could be felt for years, as the diplomatic battle between the nuclear powers persists. The New Moon in Cancer chart (18:33 UT; 13:33 EDT) with the final dispositors Neptune and the Moon [see image], shows Mars in Virgo approaching the opposition aspect to Saturn in Pisces. This aspect becomes partile, thus stronger, by the weekend. The conflict between the two malefices (Mars and Saturn) is tense, rather than an open battle of force. The ability to generate compassion is crucial to a resolution. Ceres in Libra quincunx aspect to Saturn and Venus in Leo with Venus in quincunx aspects to Neptune and Pluto represent the hope to undermine destruction (Neptune).
Tuesday July 18th — The Moon ingress to Leo overnight (04:41 UT), becomes in mutual reception with the Sun until late on Thursday. The Sun is now a final dispositor as well, improving ability to forge a hero’s entrance. The Sun approaches the trine aspect with Neptune in Pisces. The Yod formation continues in force, with Venus’ quincunx aspects to Neptune retro and Pluto retro as in the image attached. Venus, disposed of by the Sun, gives merit to the ruler. Empathy turns to power and a heroic accomplishment. Mars in Virgo approaches the opposition aspect to Saturn in Pisces as tensions between the forces of discovery and rejection intensify. The Moon in Leo, semi-sextile aspect to Mars and quincunx aspect to Saturn could ease the way for reconciliation.
