At the 1st Quarter Moon on the 14th of March, the Moon in Gemini is in opposition aspect to Jupiter in Sagittarius. A crisis in growth, and political battles can be amplified with this aspect, although there can be also a renewal for transformation of political debates. While the Sun in Pisces is a decidedly occult ideology at its highest manifestation, leadership roles have the responsibility of bringing about the transformation. Failure to do so could bring havoc or total dissolution. Mercury retrograde doubly approaching the Sun’s longitude and Pluto in a sextile aspect to the Sun’s longitudinal position, intensify the political situation that has more profound effects. Mars in a trine aspect to Saturn, partile (exact aspect) at the 1st Quarter Moon phase, in earth signs, indicating that there are concerted efforts at resolving practical issues to facilitate a more rapid progress. Leadership and economic interests combine to produce a meaningful outcome. With elections and leadership positions in question worldwide, it is remarkable stage for action.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday March 13th – The Moon in Gemini forms a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Venus in Aquarius, as communication is effective in gaining followers to a cause. As election campaigns fire up in India, as well as Israel and the US, and Brexit is at a decisive point, putting May’s leadership in peril, prior to the quarter Moon early on the 14th, focus is on national leadership in democratic nations. As Mars is trine aspect to Saturn, in the earth signs Taurus and Capricorn, action and decision making prove productive. Leadership values are formed and the candidates evaluated. The Moon in a quincunx aspect (150 deg, creative) to Saturn in Cap, as political alliances are readjusted.

March 14, 2019
Thursday March 14th – As Mercury is in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to the Sun in Pisces today, and in its retrograde phase, a possible awakening, a shifting of decisions based on review of past outcomes is likely. Individuals are inclined take part in the awakening phase as massive support for candidates shifts. The 1st Quarter Moon today, a signature of crisis in development, as we move to the Full Moon at the equinox on the 21st of March (evening on the 20th US time zones). Full awareness of the crisis leads to transformation. The Sun in Pisces is at the focal point of the T-square formation [see chart above] with the Moon in Gemini in the opposition aspect (180 deg, tension) to Jupiter in Sag. The political (Sag) word (Gemini) has an impact that reverberates emotionally (Pisces). Mars trine to Saturn reaches partile today, as focus is refined with far reaching implications. Reversing Brexit seems a possibility, while vulnerability for leaders worldwide remains (Neptune is the dispositor of the Sun and Mercury and a final dispositor in its sign of rulership) on this pivotal day.
Friday March 15th – The Moon in Cancer today, forms a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Neptune in Pisces (compatible water signs), and a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Venus in Aquarius, as the future seems dim, although there are attempts to reach a compromise. The Moon in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Saturn later in the day brings a possibility of more stability, although conflict and disagreement is also present as the two are strong in their own signs, and are opposites. Working together gets very dicey. Mercury retro in Pisces is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Jupiter in Sag, fomenting more discord. Mars trine Saturn is still in effect, although weakening, as Mars moves forward in Taurus. Strong support for traditional roles may be weakening. Mercury retro transcends the Sun in Pisces although in a retro motion leaves lingering shadows of remorse as it forms a sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) with Pluto, lending voice to autocracy and power.
Saturday March 16th – The Moon in Cancer is in a sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Mars in Taurus early in the day, gaining power and influence, then moves to a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Mercury and an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Pluto, as new insights are gained. The Moon is also quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Jupiter in Sag, leaving more future possibilities, or illusions for success. Then the Moon in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Rahu indicates emotional incompatibility, and a trine aspect to the Sun in Pisces (water sign aspect), as emotional responses provide a depth of intrigue. Regret or nostalgia seem to overtake us. The Moon is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus as it reaches the ingress to Leo. It could be the opening of a political black box. The Moon is also in a trine aspect to Chiron in Aries, as the drama moves on with deepening implications such as a tragedian stage; a critical character flaw leads to annihilation.
Sunday March 17th – The Moon in Leo is afflicted by a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus early in the day, signifying disruptions or innovations of an unexpected nature. However, this passes quickly. A trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Chiron immediately follows up, giving the ability to normalize the actions, or accidental occurrences. A few hours later, the Moon is in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Venus in Aquarius. The Moon in Leo is able to rise above minor details. Disposed of by the Sun in Pisces, a connection with the universal, the Moon seeks personal expression, while Venus may block creativity. There could also be a tendency to deny the reality of the situation with escapist entertainment, or to construct a false reality. Mercury retro in Pisces is in a doubly approaching sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Mars in Taurus.
Monday March 18th – Mars in Taurus forms a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to the midpoint of Saturn and Pluto in Sag today, bringing the Saturn constraints and transcendent Pluto to also interact. The Moon in Leo is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mars, and Mars to Venus is also in a square aspect as a T-square (major configuration) is formed, with the Moon in opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Venus. We may want to slow down today, consider all options, before rushing into potentially dangerous situations, as the Moon is also in a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Saturn and Pluto. As Mercury retrograde moves between the sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Mars and a sextile to Saturn and Pluto, ensnarement could be accomplished. As the afternoon progresses, the Moon in a trine aspect to Jupiter leads to rewards at the end of the day, and the Moon heads into a calmer transit of Virgo and a trine aspect to Uranus. We can accept a dawning reality as events are rationalized. Venus in a semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, mildly supportive) to Saturn in Sag, sweetens the outcome with poetic justice.
Tuesday March 19th – The Moon in Virgo adjusts to the changing scene, as we concentrate of work to maintain life, although with an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Neptune later in the day, this could become obsessive-compulsive in intensity. A trine aspect (120 deg, easy) from the Moon to Saturn in Cap, adds more structure, while an opposition aspect to Mercury in Pisces adds a conflict of ideas. A practical solution wins in the end, as many details are involved in the works. Mars in a trine aspect to Saturn and quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Jupiter resolves the problems with practical measures to accomplish a goal. A grand trine (major configuration) in earth signs follows in the next 12-24 hours.
