Overview

The Sun begins the Virgo transit, with Mars also in Virgo in an opposition aspect to Neptune retro, although strong in the rulership of Pisces, and the Moon in Scorpio opposition aspect to Uranus in Taurus. The Earth continues to give the inhabitants stress signals. Mars in Virgo trine aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn. The first quarter Moon phase on Thursday, early morning US time zones, as analysis and fall-out from the first debate of Presidential hopefuls for the Republican ticket resounds as the Moon ingress to Sagittarius (08:08 UT). Mercury in Virgo turns retrograde at 4:31 EDT on Wednesday (23^rd of August). Venus also retrograde in Leo, and the Moon in Scorpio opposition aspect to Uranus, stirs up controversy, as candidates return to self-analysis and correction. Venus square aspect to Jupiter in Taurus remains close, although doubly separating for now. The Sun is in an opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces on Friday, as we will see conflicting views of past grievances and future plans. A grand-trine configuration in earth signs on Sunday, with the Moon in a conjunction aspect with Pluto retro in Cap, trine Uranus and Mercury, a galvanizing moment in history. Mars ingress to Libra on Sunday, searching for a balance. The Moon ingress to Aquarius on Monday.

Wednesday August 23^rd — The Sun ingress to Virgo early today, disposed of by Mercury, as Mercury turns retrograde transit, retracing the path of the past week, as in a shadow. A time to review progress and correct direction. The Moon in Scorpio is sextile aspect to Mercury and then makes the opposition aspect to Uranus in Taurus, as radical change is needed. The Earth is signaling distress with fires, hurricanes, and floods. Mercury retro trine aspect to Uranus indicates repairs are mandated. Mars in Virgo and in an approaching trine aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn indicates the systemic repairs that are needed. For the individual, this could indicate the nutrition that can prevent disease from manifesting. A dietary plan is essential to guarding good health.

Thursday August 24^th — The Moon ingress to Sagittarius early today, and square aspect to the Sun in Virgo, then transits to the square aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces. A T-square configuration might manifest in some way, as a search for a middle ground. A philosophical interpretation may satisfy, although the opposition aspect remains in effect for days, as the Sun and Saturn are doubly approaching the aspect, illusions may fall away. Some illusions become more deeply embedded. Mars in Virgo draws closer to the trine aspect with Pluto in Capricorn, as power intensifies oppression. Venus retro in Leo remains in the square aspect to Jupiter, doubly separating, with a one degree orb of influence. Mercury retro in Virgo pulls away from the tine aspect to Uranus in Taurus, although still with a wide orb of influence, as the domination of technology seems to recede.

Friday August 25^th — The Moon in Sagittarius makes a comfortable trine aspect to Venus retro in Leo, accepting gifts or pleasant recreational experiences. Awards may be given in a ceremonious gesture, with Venus in a square aspect to Jupiter in Taurus. The Moon in quincunx aspect to Jupiter, with a philosophical view, may misunderstand the value of the award, that could be rejected or redistributed. Mars in Virgo supersedes the trine aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn, as the hero/protagonist seeks goals beyond the traditional title. Sun in Virgo increases the strength of the opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces. The goal of the hero, or anti-hero, may not be achievable, after all. Retreat could be the wisest action taken now. The Moon, is square aspect to Mercury retro in Virgo, is also sextile aspect to Ceres in Libra, as benefit is sought for the younger generations. With Ceres in the 12^th House (Atlanta noon chart), incarceration may be a legitimate, although unexpected, response, as Ceres is semi-sextile aspect to Mercury retro and quincunx aspect to Uranus in Taurus (expression of value and justice). 

Saturday August 26^th — The Moon in the final degree of Sagittarius is square aspect to Mars in Virgo with conflicts that seem to derail the desired goal for vindication or release. Service to humanity as a goal, with the Sun in Virgo opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces square aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces, there are likely to be delusions involved, as the protagonist meets with limitations. The Moon ingress to Capricorn (13:06 UT) in a bid to reorganize thoughts and plans. The Moon in a trine aspect to the Sun in Virgo, as a competitive analysis for potential candidates raises prospects. Plans for work may be implemented on a practical level. The Sun in an opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces draws out limiting belief systems. The Moon is sextile aspect to Saturn, hopefully able to organize support systems.

Sunday August 27^th — Mars ingress to Libra, and the Moon in Capricorn trine aspect to Jupiter in Taurus early today.  Just as balance is necessary, a financial base may improve. Later in the day (morning on Monday in the eastern hemisphere), the Moon makes trine aspects to Mercury retro in Virgo and Uranus in Taurus for a grand-trine configuration in productive earth signs. The Sun in Virgo supersedes the opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces, rejecting limiting empathetic support. Reinforcements are in the works. The Moon makes a sextile aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces corresponding to attempts to facilitate relief programs.

Monday August 28^th — The Moon in Capricorn is in a conjunction aspect with Pluto retro early today, galvanizing the power of reform, as programs are devised. The Moon ingress to Aquarius (14:33 UT) and trine aspect to Mars in Libra, shifting the focus to idealism, to a more egalitarian world. The Moon quincunx aspect to the Sun in Virgo and semi-sextile aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces, a jolt in awareness occurs that could trigger action toward reform.

Tuesday August 29^th — The Moon in Aquarius is in opposition aspect to Venus retro in Leo early today, then square aspect to Jupiter in Taurus. Idealistic programs gather support so that funds become available, crowd fundraising, as well as from individual donors, to help victims of disasters. The Moon is sextile aspect to Chiron in Aries in the afternoon hours (US time zones) and quincunx aspect to Mercury retro in Virgo, indicating that experienced workers and technicians are needed to conquer the difficulties in recovery.  The Moon in a harsh square aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus overnight (US time zones), or morning on Wednesday (Europe, EU, Asia, and Australia) could trigger economic distress.
