With the new Moon on Friday, the aspects on Wednesday foreshadow the new cycle. The Sun in Libra reaches the partile opposition aspect to Mars retro in Aries early morning on the 14th, while the Moon in Virgo is in an opposition aspect to Neptune in Pisces. Mercury retro in Scorpio approaches the opposition aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus. The three opposition aspects in combination give an atmosphere of confusion. At the new Moon on Thursday, conflicts are severe, knives are out, as the new Moon degree is in a square aspect to Pluto / Saturn midpoint. Saturn brings limitations while Pluto overturns, conflicting with the luminaries in Libra with a need for balance and peace. Major disruptions are possible.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday October 14th —The Moon in Virgo makes a trine aspect to Jupiter in Capricorn, a favorable aspect, as expectations are enhanced. The possibility of defeat remains, however, with the Moon’s opposition to Neptune in Pisces, the issues may be diffused. Jupiter in a sextile aspect to Neptune expands the favorability of an empathetic situation. Disease may be transmitted at an increased rate. The opposition could become bogged down in details. The Moon in a quincunx aspect to Mars retro in Aries raises more issues of a practical nature. Mars is doubly approaching the square aspect to the midpoint of Jupiter and Pluto in Cap. as conflicts are revealed. The Moon transits to the trine aspect to Pluto and Saturn in Cap. as positive angles are also explored. Conflicts are intensified.
Thursday October 15th — Mercury turns retrograde at 11° Scorpio, as the inquisitive planet approaches the opposition aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus, an aspect that will slowly approach partile next week on Monday. The dueling planets in fixed signs seek to undermine efforts to transform or to negate a governmental process, as Mercury is disposed by Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus by Venus in Virgo. Uranus may overturn legal rights relating to the Venus nature (women and children), in Virgo disposed of by Mercury. Reproductive choice hangs in the balance. The Sun in Libra transcends the opposition aspect to Mars retro in Aries, partile square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn, as conflicts are out in the open. The Moon in Libra is in an opposition aspect to Chiron in Aries, as issues are weighed against the background of history.
Friday October 16th — The Moon in Libra is in opposition aspect to Mars retro in Aries early in the day (afternoon hours in the eastern hemisphere), while also square aspect to Jupiter in Capricorn, then combining influences to form square aspects to Pluto and Saturn in Cap., as issues move to questions of power and stability, and the continuation of an historical process. The T-square is maintained by the new Moon in opposition aspect to Eris in Aries, and square aspect to the midpoint of Pluto and Saturn in Cap, a T-square formation, as a destructive force is called to heel. Mars in Aries is square aspect to the midpoint of Jupiter/Pluto conjunction aspect in Cap.
Saturday October 17th — The Moon in Scorpio will be in opposition aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus, reverberating the Mercury – Uranus opposition aspect, and reassessments are made of the weeks actions, with the Moon in a conjunction aspect to Mercury retro. Venus in Virgo makes an opposition aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces, and a trine aspect to Jupiter in Capricorn as vulnerability of the underprivileged is increased, and assessments made. The Sun in Libra reaches the partile square aspect to Saturn in Cap and in an opposition aspect to Eris in Aries as tradition and stability are under pressure, with some conscious push-back.
Sunday October 18th — The Sun in Libra is in a square aspect to Saturn in Cap while Mars retro in Aries is in a square aspect to Jupiter in Cap, as challenges to justice and equality are exposed. The Moon in Scorpio is quincunx aspect to Mars and sextile aspect to Jupiter early in the day, as efforts for survival and satisfaction face problematic issues. Jupiter supersedes the sextile aspect to Neptune, doubly approaching the square aspect to Mars retro in Aries, as efforts are made to conquer the spread of the pandemic. Venus in Virgo is in a partile opposition aspect to Neptune in Pisces, as efforts are made to combat disease with remedial substances. Venus is also in a quincunx aspect to Mars, making progress difficult to maintain as results are inconsistent, and approaching the trine aspect to Jupiter in Cap, for a successful outcome.
Monday October 19th — The Moon in Sagittarius is in a trine aspect to Chiron in Aries as judicial recommendations are in the offing. Jupiter, the dispositor of the Moon is in a conflicting square aspect to Mars retro in Aries. Objections may now have little effect. The Moon in a quincunx aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus reflects the revolutionary aspects of the appointments to very powerful positions. Venus trine aspect to Jupiter while the stressful aspects are separating, brings a sense of satisfaction and achievement.
Tuesday October 20th — The Moon in the 3rd decan of Sagittarius is square aspect to Neptune in Pisces, trine aspect to Mars retro in Aries and then square aspect to Venus in Virgo, while semi–sextile aspect to Jupiter in Cap., for a developing T-square configuration, effective for a short time, as the Moon signifies a change in the balance of judicial power. Venus approaches the trine aspect to Pluto in Cap, uniting the analytical with the practical.
