Mars is in a stationary phase prior to turning to a retrograde phase in Aries late Wednesday or Thursday (depending on your location), while Jupiter is in a stationary phase preparing to turn direct motion on Sunday. While both planets are re-directing influence, retrograde phases are generally more inner directed. Jupiter in Capricorn becomes surer of the power to radiate social reform, while Mars could experience self-inflicted wounding. Power itself becomes suspect, and social and political correctness gains in ascendancy. The Sun in Virgo is trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus on Wednesday, as critical efforts are made to reject the violence in protest actions. The Moon is in the 3rd quarter phase and moves to the New Moon on the 17th – at the end of this report.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday September 9th — The Moon in Gemini with a trine aspect to Mercury in Libra early today, is also sextile aspect to Chiron in Aries. Thoughts, words and actions flow, and with respect to your inner guide, the voice of experience, moderates instinctively. The Sun in Virgo is trine aspect (an aspect of acceptance) to Jupiter in Capricorn. Grounded analysis achieves recognition and consensus.
Thursday September 10th — The 3rd quarter Moon phase, soon after midnight, prompts for a resolution to the crisis. Motions are made to legislate changes needed. Jupiter in Capricorn trine aspect (an aspect of acceptance) to the Sun in Virgo, earth signs that deal with practical matters, as the US House of Representatives takes up issues relating to violence and protests in the nation. The Moon in quincunx aspects to Jupiter, then Pluto and finally Saturn, Encounter the difficulties in passing legislation that is blocked by the Senate and therefore may never reach the desk of the POTUS. A notable exercise in futility that is never-the-less meaningful.
Friday September 11th — The Sun in Virgo is in an opposition aspect to Neptune in Pisces. Neptune’s influence is primarily under the conscious level of awareness. The opposition is an aspect of resistance, and we could even resist the truth that is under all the blather. Careful analysis is needed to discern the true from the false. Mars turns retrograde late in the day, as government agencies redirect their agendas. Computer analysis leads to discoveries to aid in restoring health to much of humanity. The Moon in Cancer is square aspect to both Mercury in Libra and Chiron in Aries, a cardinal square aspect of resistance. Many individuals now are feeling overwhelmed with conflicting viewpoints, and tend to retreat into perceived safety. The Moon in a sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus, an aspect of acceptance, could then force us from the safety of our retreat. Mercury makes a quincunx aspect to Uranus, revealing startling communication that does not comport with accepted views. Again, we are shaken from a complacency into a state of shocked awareness.
Saturday September 12th — The Moon in Cancer and an opposition aspect to Jupiter allows for needed rest and recuperation. The Moon is in a trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces and sextile aspect to the Sun in Virgo, both aspects of acceptance, as basic assumptions are dissolved and then reorganized. The Moon in an opposition aspect to Pluto indicates a transformation of personal versus the collective. Individuals may re-align with political groups that ascribe to viewpoints concerning government powers. The pendulum of power is shifting.
Sunday September 13th — The Moon in opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Capricorn and square aspect to Mars retro in Aries, aspects of resistance, could force a recognition of a new status quo. Forest fires need to be conquered. Saturn square aspect to Mars increases the effectiveness of the measures. The Moon ingress to Leo today with a conjunction aspect to Venus awakens latent expressions of pleasure. Enjoyable hours with friends and children help to recharge depleted emotions, a trine aspect to Chiron in Aries adds a measure of acceptance to changes in lifestyle choices. As the Moon is then square aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus and sextile aspect to Mercury in Libra, a possible return of financial resources and valuations, a reversal of the downturn of the previous two days could occur.
Monday September 14th — Venus in Leo and a square aspect of resistance to Uranus in Taurus, follows a tendency to deny the reality of a loss, and the realization that a lower status brings, as many return to their former opinions as though nothing happened, having been saved from heavy losses. The Moon in Leo and sextile aspect to Mercury in Libra, encourages such rationalization. The Sun in Virgo is in a trine aspect to Pluto in Cap, as aligning with a power base is again a comfort. How fragile is that alignment remains to be seen. The situation is very volatile. As the Moon is quincunx aspect to Jupiter and then Pluto retro in Cap on the one hand, and Neptune in Pisces on the other side, deals can be made with ingenuity with the Yod formation.
Tuesday September 15th — The Moon in Leo is in a quincunx aspect to Saturn in Capricorn, a creative attempt to add legitimacy could gain credibility with the Moon trine aspect to Mars retro in Aries. The Moon ingress Virgo later in the afternoon could question the effort. Fun loving Venus in Leo in a square aspect resists the upsetting Uranus in Taurus, flaunts the situation of concern. Consequences of severity result. Health concerns over vaccine trials or lack of discipline with regards to restrictive measures lead to more illness. The New Moon in Virgo on Thursday will renew efforts to contain the virus.
