Venus
changes signs from talkative Gemini to inner peace and security
in the homey sign of Cancer. Also, this week the Moon changes signs
and polarities, from the watery Cancer to fiery Leo.
In Leo, there is warmth and romance, with more demonstrative affection, and
again into the staid Virgo, for a down to earth search for
reality. Later in the week, the Moon continues to airy Libra
as balanced actions are promoted. Neptune,
meanwhile, has infused itself into our lives from legalized marijuana, to
Trump’s love of showmanship, to climate change and economic instability. No
with a retrograde Neptune that is even more noticeable. With Neptune
at the focal point for Trump’s Sun –Moon opposition,
he manages to use this gesture to restart the aborted nuclear disarmament with
N. Korea’s Kim, to counter the negativity of the debate among Democratic
presidential hopefuls. With natal
Jupiter in Libra trine his natal Uranus,
Trump has an instinct that keeps his reputation from being all negative.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday July 3rd – The Moon in Cancer is in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Pluto in Capricorn, with individuals relating to the transformation of power, of government or other authority figure. Participation in political contests attract observers and donors. Venus transits into Cancer, disposed of by the Moon, as celebrations in the homeland are made ready with beautification efforts, with Venus, Sun and Moon in the Moon’s sign of Cancer. A lack of planets in air signs results with Venus egress from Gemini. Saturn and Pluto retro in Capricorn demand status, as pride and dignity are evident. The Moon trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Neptune early in the day and Neptune sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Saturn resolves hard feelings, with Neptune as a unifier and dissolver of boundaries. Uranus and Chiron continue with the semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, flash), an enduring minor aspect although with a less significant effect, adds the influence of experience to the innovation of Uranus.
Thursday July 4th – The Moon ingress to Leo early in the day, and in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Mars for an expression of loyalty. The conjunction with Mercury follows as the Moon transits, along with a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus, and a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Chiron in Aries. Overnight US time zones, the Moon in Leo is trine aspect to Jupiter in Sag and quincunx aspects (150 deg, complex) to Neptune in Pisces and to Saturn in Capricorn, for celebration, exuberance and disregard of the indigent and immigrant sectors. Saturn limits the movement and absorption of the Neptune element into the social fabric.
Friday July 5th – The quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) today of the Moon in Leo to Neptune in Pisces is a debauchery that defies expectation, followed by the quincunx aspect from the Moon to Pluto in Capricorn, leads to a painful recovery. Depletion of energy through over-exertion is another possible outcome. Nerves may be frayed, and emotional injury may result. The Mars– Venus semi-sextile (30 deg, relating) could lend some support or commiseration. The Moon ingress to Virgo in the late hours of the day, with concerns about health issues.
Saturday July 6th – The Moon in Virgo sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Venus in Cancer early in the day, also combining the semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, flash) to Mars and Mercury in Leo and then a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Uranus in Taurus. New alliances are formed for innovative actions, such as grass root community projects. The Moon transits to a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Jupiter in Sag by mid-day (US time zones) and opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Neptune in Pisces. Jupiter at the focal point of the T-square configuration, and strong in its sign of rulership– Sagittarius as enjoyment of the week-end is at a peak. Social integration is favored.

Hong Hong, China
Sunday July 7th – The violent demonstrations in Hong Kong that has raged for days reaches some sort of climax, interventions and possibly a restoration of peace. The peaceful demonstrations that were overcome by a violent surge in recent days as the Moon in Virgo reaches the square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Jupiter in Sag and an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Neptune in Pisces (see image). Mercury turns retro in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Mars in Leo and with a semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, flash) to Venus in Cancer. While there are aggressive speeches made, the lack of planets in air signs indicates a lack of transfer of intellectual content, a lack of ability to reach an agreement between the parties in conflict. Force alone seems to be the method used to contain the violence and achieve order as the Moon trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Saturn in Capricorn could indicate a surrender.
Monday July 8th – The Moon in Libra restores the air sign occupancy, as agreements can be reached to end conflicts or disagreements, with the Moon in a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Mercury retro and Mars in Leo, and an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Chiron in Aries. A square aspect (90 deg, harsh) from the Moon to Venus in Cancer and a quincunx aspect (150 deg, creative) to Uranus in Taurus follows. The Sun in Cancer approaches an opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Capricorn, as protective measures are taken in self-defense.
Tuesday July 9th – The Moon in Libra reaches the focal point of the Sun–Saturn opposition (Cancer to Capricorn). The active cardinal signs indicate a treaty of sorts in the conflict. While the opposition aspect is a time of tension and pulling back as well as divisiveness, the Moon in Libra square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the Sun in Cancer and Saturn retro in Capricorn could bring the parties to an understanding that precludes continued aggression. The Moon in a sextile aspect (60 deg friendly) to Jupiter in Sag hours earlies could indicate the desire for a peaceful solution. The quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) from the Moon to Neptune in Pisces at the same time is an indication of the endless conflict that is not likely to achieve any productive end. Thus, the truce is a humanitarian necessity.
Have a successful week!
