The week begins with the Sun in Gemini and Moon in Virgo, two Mercury ruled signs, so let’s look at Mercury. Mercury, of course, is about communication, and as a rather neutral planet carries the message. Mercury in Taurus is opposed by Jupiter in Scorpio (180 deg aspect). Jupiter will expand the issues raised by any planet it contacts, so the opposition to Jupiter gives a push for security. Jupiter is pulling away in the opposition aspect, so there is a tug and pull in opposite directions. The debate on making schools safe for students is analyzed (Virgo) and debated (Gemini) although no clear decision is made. Neptune in Pisces is in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Jupiter in Scorpio (water signs) as the intensity of debate is emotional while mired in details (Virgo) and obscured by massive polarity (opposition aspects) on the issues as fear and uncertainty replace actual problem solving (Mercury). Therefore, Neptune obscures and dilutes arguments as well as injecting disillusionment. Mercury in Taurus is disposed of (occupies a sign ruled by) by Venus in Cancer. Venus moves to an opposition aspect to Saturn in Capricorn this week, by Friday and Saturday. Venus in Cancer becomes a final dispositor (other planets are disposed of by planet or planets disposed of by Venus) with the Moon transiting Libra on the 21st -23rd of May and the dispositor of the planets in Taurus – Mercury and Uranus. So Venus in Cancer is opposed to Saturn in its own sign of Capricorn (another final dispositor due to its domicile in the sign it rules). There is the battle between executive power (Saturn in Capricorn) and innocence (Venus in Cancer). Are students captive in their classrooms by an active shooter if an incident can occur at an unknown time and place? Does this constitute child endangerment by the very institutions that criminalize such a situation? That is the real absurdity the people of the US are facing today. It is the same absurdity that Israel faces with a different twist, that of Hamas, a terrorist organization that sends people to protest violently and attack the border knowing they will be met with equal or greater violence.
Wednesday May 23rd – The Moon moves into Virgo and from a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Mercury to a trine aspect with Pluto as a grand- trine in earth signs forms early in the day. This might help to move resources, especially practical items to provide for endangered populations. The will is there to conform to the situation and provide assistance. The Moon opposition aspect to Neptune a few hours earlier could be a time of dreams, of fears and unreality. Imagination could run wild. Neurotic symptoms may surface. Mercury is in a separating (decreasing in strength) opposition aspect (180 deg, conflict) to Jupiter, as some messages could be delayed while emotional satisfaction is not deferred to practical measures, and protections are compromised (Ceres in Leo square aspect (90 deg, harsh) Jupiter and Mercury) challenges protections for children.
Thursday May 24th – The Moon in Libra today, forms a grand-trine configuration with the Sun in Gemini and Mars in Aquarius. International negotiations and communications are favored. News travels swiftly, as agreements seem to be assured. However this aspect is temporary, covering 3-4 hours at best. It is a window of opportunity. It is a good time for enjoying your favorite pastime. Later, the Moon moves to a square aspect (90 deg, conflict) with Venus in Cancer and then a square aspect with Saturn in Capricorn bring out conflicting issues. The Moon in Libra is the mediator as choosing between self-gratification (Venus in Cancer) and legal or moral responsibility (Saturn in Capricorn); between pleasure and stoicism or vice and honor may be some of the possible situations presented.
Friday May 25th – Venus in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tension) to Saturn could deliberate as to consequences, judgments and court appeals, and the personal choice from the previous day. Refining (Saturn in Capricorn) your appearance (Venus in Cancer), your clothing or personal presentation can produce the desired interview or employment opportunity. Jupiter retrograde in Scorpio trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Neptune in Pisces magnifies any loss or gain. It could possibly also signify disillusionment with contracts, or conversely, lucky engagements, expanded resources or increased debt. Enthusiasm could be without limits, and unfortunatly also illusionary.
Saturday May 26th – The Moon transits into Scorpio and an opposition aspect (180 deg, stress) to Uranus in Taurus. This could trigger adverse reactions from Uranus, re: Kilauea volcanic eruption, ongoing investigations and release of secret documents, leaked email, etc. The Moon will then be in a square aspect (90 deg, conflict) to Mars in Aquarius, another trigger for violent reactions. There is then a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) from the Moon to the Sun in Gemini, and then trine (120 deg, easy) to Venus in Cancer and sextile (60 deg, friendly) to Saturn in Capricorn. It seems to be a day for creative ventures, possibly pleasurable outings with some complex problems being resolved.
Sunday May 27th – The Moon is in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Jupiter in Scorpio early in the day, for concentrated efforts to expand assistance to the needy, and victims of disasters. Corruption may also be exposed. The Sun in a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Saturn could limit the reach of the assistance offered, and possible exposure of corruption, although some questions remain unanswered.
Monday May 28th – Mercury transit of Taurus is a good time for gaining knowledge concerning health, or financial prospects. As the Moon in Scorpio is in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tension) to Mercury today, benefits from natural remedies including healthful diet prove successful and sound investments could pay off. A sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) from the Moon to Pluto early in the day, increases depth of resources. You may join a group that is enriches your life in some way.
Tuesday May 29th – The Full Moon today at 8 deg Gemini in the morning hours US time (10:21 EDT), as issues that developed over the past two weeks are brought to a head. With Rahu (N. Lunar Node) on the ascendant in Wash, DC, we could now get a clear picture as to where the political investigations are going. The Sun in Gemini opposed (180 deg, tense) to the Moon in Sagittarius is the same Full Moon in DJT’s natal chart. Matters concerning Trump and his administration, especially investigations and analysis of the campaign, gain momentum, as a grand trine is forming with Venus moving to complete the trine with Jupiter and Neptune. The water sign grand–trine works with an emotional appeal. The situation is rapidly changing. Jupiter in the trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Neptune could bolster chances for a summit with N. Korea’s Kim Yong-un although further delay could remain, as the issue of nuclear power remains problematic.
Please note that the aspects are general, and apply individually if there are contacts with planets in your natal chart. They may also be in effect for a day or more in advance, depending on other indications in personal charts.
