The Venus–Saturn bombshell broke, and sent the elections in the US into a spin. Corruption or misdeeds are suspected, and with the Sun trine Neptune retro, this could undermine the outcome of the elections. Saturn represents structure and organized systems. Venus could be an activating agent. That agent could be acting with personal vengeance as a Saturnine energy exhibits action that can be seen as biased. The fallout can spill over to affect the entire lunar cycle. The Moon in Scorpio helped to activate emotional appeals and responses to the investigation that was initiated on Sunday (power struggle) with a subpoena (at the New Moon with Mercury trine to Neptune). While Neptune is the universal solvent, it is unclear what exactly will be in the solution. Some things will come apart, no doubt, or the investigation itself may fizzle.
Summary of major aspects of the week:
Wednesday November 2nd– As the Moon, ruler of the sign Cancer, is now in Sagittarius, sextile (60 deg aspect) to Jupiter (expansion) political issues for the US (Cancer is the Sun sign of the US-July 4th chart ) are personal issues, as opinions are expressed, letters written showing that voters (Moon) are active in the political (Sagittarius) process. With Saturn in the sign of Sagittarius, there remains a stable value for candidates in the polls. Mercury (information gathering) in Scorpio is semi–sextile to Saturn and sextile to Pluto. There is increased interest in qualifications, as political loyalties as well as bias are expressed. However, the Moon is square to Neptune, which shows distrust among the voters (Moon -emotion or reflection) in the media (Mercury) and in the political system. Obsession as well as revulsion can be simultaneous with the Moon square aspect (90 deg) to Neptune. As the Moon traverses Saturn and Venus, the two planets are very dissimilar, Venus –Moon could then help to define the contradictions, and particularize issues in the Media (Venus is disposed of by Jupiter in mutual reception).
Thursday November 3rd– The Moon and Venus in Sag are approaching a square aspect to Chiron in Pisces, such as lessons that are learned along with rehabilitative phase of punishment. While Pisces dislikes restrictions, structure is necessary for advancement. As the Moon is in a trine aspect (120deg) to Uranus, political (Sagittarius) legalities are challenged, new investigations may be opened. Mercury in Scorpio is sextile to Pluto in Capricorn foreshadowing the Sun sextile to Pluto in 2-3 days time when the actions of the day are publicized.
Friday November 4th – The Moon in Capricorn today allows for more security. Known structures are re-confirmed, new structures established. Rallying points are distributed to supporters and members of the team. Victory seems near. Venus trine to Uranus whips up enthusiasm. Political directness (Uranus) supersedes political correctness (Venus).
Saturday November 5th – With Mercury in Scorpio (power) trine to Chiron in Pisces (empathy), and quincunx to Uranus in Aries (iconoclast) the election outcome is not assured. Decisions in investigations are made that could affect the outcome of the power struggle within the government and affecting candidates prospects (Moon conjunct Pluto in Capricorn). The Moon is sextile to both Mercury and Chiron, bringing the two in closer alliance with Pluto (conjoined the Moon), as decisions by the ultimate power official. This seems to indicate a vindication, or reversal of official stance and policy.
Sunday November 6th – The Moon transit of Mars and entering Aquarius is a jolt into the future. The Mercury in Scorpio quincunx Uranus emphasizes the shift in awareness, as unexpected reversals or change of plans could result. The Mercury –Uranus contact in the quincunx (150deg), while neither a hard or easy aspect, can bring a more complex result that may be more difficult to assess. A level of sophistication is required, or even gained now, as the final phase of the campaign is entered. In this age of transparency, can we accept candidates who are flawed human beings?

Monday November 7th – With the lunar quarter phase of the current cycle, awareness of a collective power (Sun in Scorpio) as well as special interests (Aquarius), political affiliations (Saturn in Sag) and personal choice (Moon in Aquarius) empowers us to act (Mars) with responsible choice for leadership and direction (Mars transits into Aquarius). The 1st Quarter Moon phase at 19:52 GMT is a crisis in development. The crisis may be personal (Moon) even as collective decisions are made (Scorpio Sun).
Tuesday November 8th – The Moon is in Aquarius as polls open in the US, advancing democracy in the modern era-the era where no communication is totally confidential. Political candidates’ finances and even lives are open for review. An era of instant communication, and documented phone or email conversations allow us into the back rooms of political deal making. Jupiter trine the Moon from Libra increases the possible voter turnout, and the crucial issues at stake. Voting for proposals to affect the next few years is the personal choice, not the candidate’s past deeds. With the Moon sextile (60 deg) to Uranus in Aries and square aspect (90 deg) to Mercury in Scorpio, the two planets become more prominent in influence. Mercury can represent the media or the poll watchers. Here there is more depth, more significance to each vote with heightened awareness. The outcome, however, could become contested. The Moon is disposed of by Uranus in Aries. The future belongs to the present visionary.
