Overview

The Moon makes a sextile aspect to Mars in Virgo on Wednesday, Tuesday overnight for US time zones, morning hours in the ME (including Russia and Ukraine), afternoon in New Zealand. The Sun in Leo for enjoyable summer pastimes, sporting events are favored as the Mercury/Venus conjunction aspect on the 27^th the Moon in Sagittarius reaches the trine aspect to the Sun on July 28^th.  This coincides with the women’s soccer (football) World Cup (July 20-Aug 20) in New Zealand (time in New Zealand is UT + 12 hours), overnight in North and South America. On Wednesday the Sun square aspect to the Moon in Scorpio (1^st quarter Moon) is at 22:08 UT Tuesday, that is 14:08 NZST on Wednesday where the weather is cooler this month (now winter in the southern hemisphere). In the US EDT, the 1^st Quarter Moon is at 18:08 on Tuesday. A crisis point is reached in Israel and in US-Israel relations. From then on, we see several aspects of the Moon. An opposition aspect to Jupiter will be more of a celebration than a defeat. The Moon opposition aspect to Uranus on Thursday signifies a sudden reversal. Let’s see what happens in the various arenas around the world. The square aspect to Mercury/Venus in Leo follows, the Moon trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces and square aspect to Pluto in Cap, again sounds the alarm. The Moon ingress to Sagittarius late Thursday, and a trine aspect to the Sun on Friday, could bring some reconciliation. So, let’s look at the aspects day by day.

Looking ahead: Mercury in Virgo turns retro on August 21^st, the day the Sun ingress to Virgo. Mars ingress to Libra on Aug 28^th, Uranus turns retro on Aug 29^th.   

Summary of major aspects of the week

Wednesday July 26^th — The Moon is in transformative Scorpio and a sextile aspect to Mars in Virgo early today, then makes the opposition aspect to Jupiter in Taurus about midday in the US time zones, evening in Israel, as thousands protest the alteration of Israel’s Basic Law by a vote in the Knesset on Monday. Mercury in Leo approaches the conjunction aspect with Venus retro, empowering the Yod formation with Venus at the apex, Neptune and Pluto quincunx the pair. Details are broadcast to the world, the Word Cup women’s soccer events in New Zealand gains momentum. The Sun in Leo is a final dispositor, as support for the games grows.

Thursday July 27^th — The Moon in Scorpio makes an opposition aspect to Uranus in Taurus early today (North and South America), afternoon in UK, EU and ME, evening in New Zealand and Australia. Adjustments and compromises are under consideration. The Moon is also square aspect to the Mercury/Venus pair in Leo, trine aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces and sextile aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn. Reversals are forced due to overwhelming opposition. Mercury doubly approaching (two planets are moving toward one another) the partile conjunction with Venus retro, then Mercury supersedes Venus (18:12 UT -3; 11:12 EDT). Corruption is exposed as leaders regain power. The Moon ingress to Sagittarius (00:25 UT) evening hours in US, Friday morning NZST.

Friday July 28^th — The Moon in Sagittarius trine aspect to the Sun in Leo glorifies sports teams, as winners are announced, pre-dawn US time zones, and square aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces. The Sun and Saturn or in a quincunx aspect, with limitations misunderstood. Legal indictments could also be announced. Mercury and Venus retro quincunx aspects to Pluto retro in Cap and Neptune retro in Pisces. The Moon makes a square aspect to Mars in Virgo, indicating that details of indictment charges are published. Hours later, the Moon is quincunx aspect to Jupiter in Taurus indicates financial support from supporters, despite indictments. Mercury ingress Virgo in the afternoon (US time zones) early Saturday morning in UK, EU, and ME.

Saturday July 29^th — The Moon in Sagittarius makes a quincunx aspect to Uranus in Taurus early today, while the Sun in Leo separates from the quincunx aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces. Venus retro in Leo makes a partile quincunx aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces, as Mercury in Virgo doubly separates from the quincunx aspect to Pluto retro in Cap, and Venus retro separates from the quincunx aspect to Pluto. A complex interplay finds correlating events on Earth. Empathy finds unlikely soul mates, while changes in the influence of Supreme Court decisions bring adjustments to democratic processes. Mars in Virgo approaches the trine aspect to Jupiter in Taurus, effective over the next 3-4 days, reaching partile at the Full Moon on August 1^st. Analysis is directed at integrating the outcome of decisions as they apply to the various arenas, legislature, sports, or legal consequences.

Sunday July 30^th — The Moon ingress to Capricorn at 03:45 UT, overnight Saturday in the Western hemisphere, as firmer actions are taken, as the Moon makes a sextile aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces. The power could rebound, amid a general revolt. Venus retro in Leo is partile quincunx aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces. Fantasy and horror films enjoy a surge in popularity, as escapism is a natural reflex. The Moon makes a Grand-Trine configuration in earth signs with Jupiter and Mars late in the day Western hemisphere, Monday morning in UK, EU, and points eastward. There is an eagerness to get details of practical matters resolved.

Monday July 31^st — The Moon in Capricorn makes a trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus. There could be limits placed on the more radical changes that were proposed. Mars in Virgo continues trine aspect to Jupiter in Taurus. The goals (indicated by Mars in Virgo) for practical resolutions can now be integrated (indicated by Jupiter in Taurus), with economic growth. The Moon is sextile aspect to Neptune in Pisces and quincunx aspect to Venus retro in Leo. Empathy for the underdog increases, as the Moon reaches the conjunction aspect with Pluto in Capricorn. A transfer of power is likely. Mercury in Virgo, Sun in Leo, and Neptune in Pisces are final dispositors, as rearrangements of power need to take into consideration the dis-enfranchised, the powerless, and poor members of society.

Full Moon in Aquarius

Tuesday August 1^st — The Full Moon [see image] later today, afternoon in the Western hemisphere, evening in UK, EU, and ME, as each of us tend to find some resolution in conflicts, so we can enjoy some time of satisfaction in this rather fateful day (Rahu and Ketu are square aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn). There is a clearer understanding of the limitations of power, as Mercury in Virgo opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces. Venus retro in Leo maintains the apex of the Yod alone, although the strength of the Yod is waning, as Venus separates from the quincunx aspect with Pluto retro. The Moon in Aquarius makes a trine aspect to Ceres in Libra, and a square aspect to Jupiter in Taurus, as Ceres is quincunx aspect to Jupiter all in the same timeframe. The Moon square aspect to Jupiter could be a universal benefit, focused on a younger generation, although direct access is questionable. Mars in Virgo trine aspect to Jupiter indicates a goal to increase benefits.
