It is quite a universal phenomenon the world draws closer in discord as in oneness. We each have a personal identity and relationship to concepts that are very real, like gender, nationality, social status, that factor into personal relationships. Humanity as a whole is bringing something into focus with Saturn in Capricorn. Scorpio is like the Cauldron (referring to I Ching hexagram 50) today and for the next two weeks. Here we can find nourishment for transformation. The Moon transits Scorpio, meeting up with Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in the sign of the Scorpion. The Scorpion is known for its dangerous sting, but as all water signs, Scorpio is a sign of transformation. As Scorpio is in the social realm, social transformation is indicated. Pluto is called the ruler of Scorpio, for its powerful and energy that can invoke social change. Currently, Pluto in posited in Capricorn, working in concert with Saturn, its dispositor as the ruler of Capricorn. On October 23rd, the Sun ingress to Scorpio for its annual immersion in the deep waters of social change. This week there is a strong square aspect between Mars in Aquarius and Venus in Scorpio. Mars and Venus are noted as the masculine and feminine natural powers. If relationships are rocky, it will show this week. If relationships are good, they will be invigorated or challenged. The social change we are seeing particularizes in this conflict and hope for a resolution.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday October 10th – The balance we seek in Libra (the Sun at 17 deg Libra is conjunct DJT’s natal Jupiter) must address the root causes of the situation. Venus, the ruler of Libra, seeks calm and balance while transiting the sign of Scorpio, and has turned inward (apparent motion) for a long retrograde phase, returning to direct motion on November 17th. We are conscious of a political schism, while political leadership tries to minimize and stigmatize the opposition. The Moon ingress to Scorpio early in the day, transiting conjunction (0 deg aspect) to Mercury and in opposition aspect (180 deg, polarity) to Uranus retro in Taurus. As opposites attract, they can also repel. A build-up of opposition will be released at some point in the future. This is a conjunction of the Moon and Mercury, a seed moment for the cycle, early in the greater soli-lunar cycle. The Moon in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Pluto followed the New Moon in Libra earlier this week (Monday US times). This again signals a time of social transformation. The Venus-Mars square aspect (90 deg, harsh) strengthens with Venus doubly approaching the degree of aspect. Mars in Aquarius seeks a higher ground. Mars is disposited by Uranus, as volleys of hatred are spewed. As the Moon transits Venus, the response may be muted.
Thursday October 11th – As Mercury in Scorpio is in a sextile aspect (60 deg, working) to Saturn in Capricorn, alliances are formed to build power of opposition. The Moon in Scorpio forms a trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces, appealing to the greater needs of humanity, and then is in a sextile aspect to Pluto in Cap, as the universal powers are at work. Later in the day, the Moon transits Jupiter, awakening social consciousness. The Sun moves to form a square aspect (90 deg, conflict) with Pluto, as conscious power is undermined by outside forces.
Friday October 12th – The Moon ingress to Sagittarius early today, for a shift in mood, Sagittarius is the fire–mutable sign, as speech and writing are weaponized. The seed moments of the movement develop into a political movement. The Moon is quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Uranus early in the day for critical opening remarks. A sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Mars in Aquarius indicates that alternative views gain power. The administration may use alternative facts to promote a policy, while views contrary to that are termed alternative.
Saturday October 13th – Unconscious fears provoke disillusionment, with the Moon in Sag in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune in Pisces. The Moon in a sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Ceres in Libra as concerns for the future generations are addressed. Academic freedom is at risk. The Moon then in a sextile aspect to the Sun in the building phase of the soli-lunar cycle seeks to embolden the concepts of peace and political solidarity.
Sunday October 14th – A square aspect (90 deg, harsh) from the Moon in Sagittarius to Chiron in Pisces, raises some doubts or objections to change that is too radical. The Moon ingress to Capricorn could then follow more traditional roles. However, with a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Uranus in Taurus, this could undermine the legitimacy of revolutionary goals, while seeming to accept the validity of the ideals involved.
Monday October 15th – The Moon in Capricorn forms a sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to the Venus–Mercury conjunction in Scorpio. This is a favorable day for implementing planned changes. Strategies are made clear. A voice for increased visibility of women in government positions is likely. The Moon then transits Pluto in Cap, as some progress may be stalled or blocked.
Tuesday October 16th – The Moon forms a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the Sun in Libra. This is the quarter Moon phase, a crisis in development ensues. Forces wishing to de-rail advancement, by returning to the past order, seem to block achievement. Fortuitous events follow with new financial awards or donations (Jupiter in Scorpio sextile aspect –60 deg friendly– to the Moon). Sources could be reveled at this transit. Institutional power face crisis.
