As carnage continues, all that can be said is that the nation is failing in its role to protect citizens in a free and open society. Mental health plays a role, as does the availability of weapons that are intended for the battlefield. Completely focusing on one cause without taking responsibility for the other will lead to a society that is in a straight-jacket itself. Distrust of neighbors and strangers would be the spirit of the land. Mars in Libra may be related in some personal chart configurations to a will to get even. As the dispositor of Uranus in Aries, anger, and the powerful release of anger is at a height. Education should certainly include psychology and the non-violent ways to release anger. Certainly alcohol consumption or drug use is dangerous to the health of the individual as well as the community. Venus in an opposition aspect to Uranus on the day of this recent shooting would indicate that there was a motive of revenge. Venus, when a corrupt energy is very vengeful. Venus is the ruler of Libra, the sign of the balance. An out of balance Libra energy always seeks balance or redress. Venus is the dispositor of Mars, also in Libra, while Mars is the dispositor of Uranus in Aries. Seeking to balance the scale, Mars and Venus are very out of balance in many cases. The availability of lethal means to accomplish that is vengeful beyond reason. Having the means available is the tragic flaw of the community.
Summary of major aspects of the week:
Wednesday November 8th – The Moon in Cancer today blends with three planets in Scorpio and Neptune and Chiron in Pisces. The total of 6 planets (including Moon and Chiron) in water signs shows the potential for an easy day, although with strong emotional overtones. Saturn in Sagittarius continues to ply the trine with Uranus retro in Aries. Legal issues and personal rights are conflicting in this trine aspect between two harsh psycho-social energies. Throwing the ball into the other’s court does little to solve the problem. While legal issues are limited to the interpretations of law, erratic acts and violence have unpredictable consequences. The Moon opposes Pluto as security and humanitarian issues become universally recognized.
Thursday November 9th – The Moon enters Leo today, and although a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Venus in Scorpio forms. This aspect between Venus, signifying relationships and the feminine will, and the Moon, the orb as a depository of emotions, is harsh, it could produce favorable results. Working under the shadow of the Saturn–Uranus trine (120 deg, flowing) , the Moon–Venus square aspect (90 deg, harsh) promotes voices of concern that demand action. This could help to motivate the slow moving process of making significant change in policy. The Moon then is trine (easy aspect) to Mercury in Sagittarius, communicating the lunar response to the political leaders. While Trump is in the vicinity of some of the US arch enemies, he may speak with the strong leaders he has said he admires. Like two magnets, they would probably get along well together, were they to meet. But, when in their own realms they are likely to have combative and divisive aims such that they repel one another.
Friday November 10th – The Moon in Leo is sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Mars in Libra early in the day, then transits to form the 3rd quarter phase late hours US time early on Saturday in the Far East. This disseminating quarter phase or square aspect (90 deg, harsh) usually brings a resolution or sometimes a crisis to promote the realignment for the new Moon in a week’s time, on the 18th of November. If action were to be seen in the Far East, this could be the time. With a huge military presence the Trump rhetoric threatens action or talks. With Venus approaching a conjunction (0 deg with a 2-3 deg orb) with Jupiter in Scorpio, this ploy may undermine peace, or bring unwanted results. Uranus and Neptune are in a tense semi–square aspect (45 deg). The seeds of action seem to be planted.
Saturday November 11th –The Moon in Leo with ingress Virgo today, an earth sign, and more cautions than in Leo, Virgo could reduce risk, as it will be sextile (60 deg aspect) to the Venus and Jupiter conjunction in Scorpio. This is an indication of more workable solution in the offing. A square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mercury and an opposition (180 deg, tense) to Neptune follow as diplomatic channels are opened. Saturn trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Uranus indicates, it seems, a firm control over the use of annihilating force. [see previous weeks GZN]
Sunday November 12th – Venus and Jupiter combine forces in Scorpio, as we form close friendships with mutual interest, or for financial gain. Profit taking could occur as well, as the benefits increase now. The Moon in Virgo, however, prompt caution, spending should be moderate and planned. The Moon opposed to Neptune (180 deg aspect, tense) could also relate to fears and incidents of a health or psychiatric nature. Professional help (Sagittarius) Mercury in Sag at a focal point to the opposition could prevent runaway harm. The Moon trine to Pluto late in the day could open the way for new insights.
Monday November 13th – The Moon in Virgo is sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to the Sun in Scorpio and square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn in Sagittarius, while quincunx (150 deg) to Uranus in Aries and Chiron in Pisces. The overtures are friendly although a threat of power is inherent. Creative solutions could be found, however (the quincunx aspects). It is a tense day as the outcome of negotiations and investigations are slowly revealed.
Tuesday November 14th – The Moon is in Libra today, the harbinger of peace, with Venus its ruler in Scorpio having transcended Jupiter although still within the orb of a conjunction. The Moon will be sextile (60 deg, friendly) to Mercury in Sag, and then will transit Mars, as they co-exist in Libra. Demands could be made that are upsetting or threatening to overall peace and stability. Saturn in Sag trine aspect (120 deg, friendly) to Uranus retro is slowly overpowering the forces that undermine stability. Legislation (Saturn in Sag) can become a primary focus to increase gun control in the US.
