Reflection and Self-transformation — March 22 – 29 2023

Overview

A stellium in Aries will initiate energetic actions. The Sun follows Mercury, Moon, Chiron, and Jupiter in Aries. All planets are arranged from Capricorn (Pluto) to Gemini (Mars). Ceres retro is at 0 deg Libra, will ingress Virgo, as in apparent motion it reenters the earlier sign, on Thursday, as Pluto enters Aquarius, and the Moon ingress to Taurus. Work on transformation for the Spring season has begun. Mars ingress to Cancer on Saturday, quincunx aspect to Pluto. On Monday, Mercury makes a conjunction with Jupiter in Aries, and the Moon is sextile aspect to the pair. The Moon transits Mars on Tuesday, trine aspect to Saturn in Pisces, for intense inner speculation.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday March 22nd — The stellium in Aries continues, following the New Moon at 0 deg Aries, the Moon transits to conjunction aspects with Mercury, Chiron, and Jupiter, all in Aries. The Moon could then trigger new approaches to persistent problems, and more cautions considering similar situations. The wounded counsel, the elder statesman, has a more thought-out strategy. Known for benevolence, Jupiter in Aries is more self-serving in a conjunction aspect with Chiron, the strategies used may be justified with experience gained through past wounding, while semi-sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus indicates rancor and may also be thought of provocative. Mercury in Aries is semisextile aspect to Venus in Taurus, a low-level reprimand is in store. Friends and associates may disagree on issues. Complaints to supervisors are noted, although not very threatening. The Sun in Aries is semi-sextile aspect to Saturn in Pisces, possibly a minor complaint strikes deeply. As each of the Aries transits is conflicted with a semi-sextile aspect, the over-all thrust is held back by worrisome patterns of discontent. The Moon transits Chiron and Jupiter, as Jupiter supersedes Chiron. Mars in Gemini is quincunx aspect to Pluto in the final day of its Capricorn transit, at least for now, as it will revisit this degree in June. Mars, the dispositor of the planets in Aries, is in Gemini  as announcements of proposals foreshadow major transformations.

Thursday March 23rdPluto ingress to air sign Aquarius, as major decisions on the part of ruling powers, individuals or by representation of collective importance, adjust the focus more in agreement with acclaimed goals, indicated with Mars in air sign Gemini. The Moon in Aries makes a sextile aspect to Mars in Gemini suggests a change in assessments of the situation. The Moon ingress to Taurus square aspect to Pluto in Aquarius and quincunx aspect to Ceres retro in Libra. Pluto in Aquarius is trine aspect to Ceres. A shift in polarities suggests that peace proposals and decisions beneficial to a younger generation change the atmosphere. A recognition of responsibilities could lead to a greater social participation. Ceres retro ingress to Virgo for time of self-analysis in review, and perhaps a sense of responsibility for environmental decay.

Friday March 24th — The Moon in Taurus makes a conjunction aspect with Venus, in a sign of Venus’ rulership and, at the same hour, semi-sextile aspect to Mercury in Aries. Enjoyment and appreciation of visual and sensual pleasures make this a day of relaxation. Mars in Gemini square aspect to Ceres retro in Virgo challenge perceptions, as Mercury in Aries is the ruler of both Gemini and Virgo. Mars out-of-sign quincunx aspect with Pluto in Aquarius provokes a transformation. Collective issues become personal. The Moon semi-sextile aspect to Chiron in Aries transits to a conjunction aspect with Uranus in Taurus, and semi-sextile aspect to Jupiter in Aries. Upsetting events threaten to derail progress, so an adjustment to the situation is mandated.

Saturday March 25thMars ingress to Cancer, disposed of by the Moon in Taurus, as security measures are taken to protect the home and family. Mars is in a quincunx aspect to Pluto in Aquarius. Dangers of nuclear proliferation and radioactive contamination result in protective measures. The Moon in Taurus is sextile aspect to Neptune in Pisces, representing a loss of security, and provoking fears and /or empathy. The Moon ingress to Gemini, trine aspect to Pluto, out-of-sign trine aspect to Ceres retro in Virgo, and semi-sextile aspect to Mars in Cancer. A grand-trine formation in air and with one earth sign [see image]. The future generations health is of great concern. Abortion and anti-abortion measures dominate with legal measures that put limits and conditions on abortion. The Moon is square aspect to the Saturn in Pisces, then sextile aspect to the Sun in Aries, as personal rights issues seem to win over restrictive legislation.

Third Quarter Moon Phase
March 26 023

Sunday March 26th Mars in Cancer makes a quincunx aspect to Pluto in Aquarius, and an out-ofsign square aspect to Ceres retro in Virgo, with the potential to upset easy commerce, and standard health related activities. Cancer is square to Libra by sign, so the planet in the last degree of Virgo is within the close orb for the mundane chart. An example of this is found in the new initiatives for home care, for infant care and pregnancy care, that are contested. Mars in a harsh square aspect to Ceres retro drives more introspection. Critical comments are rejected. The Moon transits to sextile aspects with Mercury, Chiron, and Jupiter in Aries. Mars in Cancer is disposed of by the Moon in Gemini, implying that discussions concerning health issues, especially in relationship to pregnancies and childbirth, are of great concern, as evidenced by the talk that is aired in media. Mars approaches the trine aspect with Saturn in Pisces, with a danger of exploitation through a lack of empathy.

Monday March 27th — This day of action for personal goals, expressed collectively in political actions, campaigns are initiated. The Moon transits to a square aspect with Neptune, with endless debates, and arguments. Mercury in Aries supersedes the conjunction aspect with Jupiter, as progressive political groups launch their campaigns. The Moon in Gemini is sextile aspect to Jupiter in Aries, indicating that personal issues are of a primary concern.

Tuesday March 28th — The Moon ingress to Cancer early today makes a conjunction aspect with Mars and trine aspect to Saturn in Pisces. The Moon and Mars in Cancer, disposed of by the Moon, deepen feeling of care for home and maternal instincts. The trine aspect to Saturn may indicate attempts to regulate personal freedom and deny choice. A lack of empathy characterizes limitations imposed, while intention may be to resurrect moral imperatives. The quincunx aspect to Pluto in Aquarius rejects personal emotions in favor of a universal appeal to a higher ideal. Uranus in Taurus is the dispositor of Pluto, rejecting universal law in order to advance financial goals.  Later in the day, the Moon makes the square aspect to the Sun in Aries, a crisis aspect, that challenging assumptions instilling necessity for inward change. The challenge is to listen deeply to the other side of the argument.

Spring Equinox and Aries New Moon — March 15-22 2023

Overview

The Spring equinox on Tuesday heralds a new season and a new era. Pluto is poised in the final days in Capricorn, doubly approaching a trine aspect to Ceres retro in Libra. Ceres is in an opposition aspect to the Sun and Moon at the New Moon. A transformation to custodial care of the economy for the future generations begins, with the Moon in Pisces sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus, and semi-sextile to Jupiter in Aries. An easing of economic conditions prevents serious disruptions. The New Moon in Aries, less than a full day past the equinox, shows Venus’ conjunction aspect to Rahu in Taurus. A stellium in Aries accompanies the New Moon with Mercury, Chiron, and Jupiter. A historical new chapter propels us into a future of social and economic dimensions, putting institutions in jeopardy. Institutions serve the masses, so Pisces (and the 12 House) is the astrological sign of interest for institutions. They will need revitalization. Financial loss is represented by Uranus in Taurus, a planet that signifies reversals, while Venus’ conjunction with Rahu in Taurus at the equinox is a sign of recovery from loss, although there may be pain involved.

Saturn in Pisces finds the weaknesses in institutions. As Saturn transits through the sign of Pisces, chaos may follow. Jupiter in Aries supersedes the conjunction aspect with Chiron, expanding a sense of woundedness. Demonstrations reveal a sense of injustice. Powerful forces (Pluto in Cap, Uranus in Taurus, Neptune in Pisces) such as earthquakes, have wounded large numbers of people, the powerless masses.

Thursday March 16th — The Moon in Capricorn is square aspect to Chiron and Jupiter in Aries, and trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus. More reversals can be expected to impact financial institutions. Disseminating Moon and Slowed Progress — March 8-15 2023

Overview

The Moon ingress to Libra and the disseminating phase, starting with the sesquiquadrate aspect at 135 deg of separation from the Sun. The Full Moon phase is reached at the opposition aspect, maintained until the sesquiquadrate. The disseminating phase is complementary to the Gibbous phase prior to the Full Moon. A tendency to be more social at the disseminating phase, less concerned with overcoming obstacles. We are more likely to share experiences in the disseminating phase. The trine aspect is encountered during this phase, as a greater ease in relationships is experienced. Following the winter solstice, the Earth is moving toward the spring equinox, as new attitudes and personal views are expressed. Saturn has just this week made the ingress to Pisces for a stellium of four planets in the Neptune ruled sign, Saturn, Mercury, Sun, and Neptune. Saturn requires more focus to deal with every situation. In Pisces, that is a big order. In Pisces, there is no clear limitation. From the war in Ukraine to education policies to political disputes, the amorphous issues are now undergoing a more focused analysis, slowly building a success.

A look Ahead: The equinox, with the day and night of equal length (at least at the equator), happens on March 20 at 21:26 UT, and the Sun ingress to Aries. The New Moon in Aries occurs on March 21 17:24 UT. Pluto ingress to Aquarius on March 24.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday March 8thThe Moon ingress to Libra at 14:45 UT, the last aspect at 14:08 is a trine aspect to Pluto at 29 deg Capricorn — an analysis of power and power figures draws fascination. The Moon makes a quincunx aspect to Saturn in Aquarius and a conjunction aspect with Ceres retro at 3 deg Libra. The Moon and Ceres form the handle of a basket shape, all other planets now located in an opposing hemisphere, from Capricorn to Gemini. Ceres receives additional support and power, able to relate to the other planets although no close aspects are made other than the conjunction aspect with the Moon. Therefore, the introspective personality traits are empowered, in separation from the busy interactive affairs. The Moon is nurturing, although in the air sign Libra, a deeper understanding of equality and fairness can be obtained. Venus, the ruler of Libra, is currently posited in Aries, where fairness to self is most concerning. Self-improvement through inner reflection is one way to experience this aspect. Another way to see it is that Venus in Aries represents the winner of the protracted libel suits pending. Venus approaches a sextile aspect to Mars in Gemini. The goal set is for personal gain. Jupiter in Aries is approaching the conjunction aspect with Chiron. It’s possible to overcome difficulties by applying greater insight.

Thursday March 9thThe Moon in Libra is in an opposition aspect to Jupiter and Chiron in Aries.Formalities should be observed to preserve good-will. The Moon makes quincunx aspects to Mercury in Pisces and Uranus in Taurus. A creative work-around may be effective. Careful thought could help the Yod formation and a healing process. The Moon quincunx aspect to Mercury in Pisces may add a dimension of uncertainty. Another quincunx aspect to the Sun in Pisces, may enhance or distract from personal goals. Advancement through creative empathy is possible. Try to understand the situation before acting. The Moon transits to the opposition aspect with Venus in Aries, and a trine aspect to Mars in Gemini. This could mean a setback for gender equality, such as equal pay or career possibilities.

March 10-11 2023
Moon ingress to Scorpio
UT -2

Friday March 10th — The Moon in Libra, quincunx aspect to Neptune in Pisces early today, is an indication of disillusion in quality, as the opposition aspect to Venus, with Venus the Moon’s dispositor. Mars trine aspect to the Moon indicates favorable advancement in communication industries. The Moon square aspect to Pluto just at the ingress to Scorpio at 19:06 EST, (02:06 Saturday in Ukraine) is trine aspect to Saturn in Pisces. There is a focus on deep empathy. Brutality accompanies a tragic downfall, or perhaps a sudden stop, or cease-fire agreement. Venus approaches the sextile aspect with Mars, while Mars is square aspect to Neptune. The futility of war is obvious to all.

Saturday March 11thMercury in Pisces is sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus, the Moon in Scorpio is conjunction aspect with Ketu, as aggression subsides. An unexpected announcement could lead to progress in peace. Jupiter conjunction aspect with Chiron is semi-sextile aspect to Mercury in Pisces and to Uranus, thus in a position to broker a peace agreement. Mars in Gemini makes a harsh square aspect to Neptune in Pisces, offers may be rejected or be finally defeated, even as aggression is disarmed through lack of ammunition. Venus in Aries is now sextile aspect to Mars in Gemini, an indication of a cooperative agreement. Late in the afternoon, the Moon is in opposition aspect to Uranus in Taurus. Powerful emotional responses could be made and/or blocked.

Sunday March 12th — The Moon in Scorpio makes trine aspects to Sun and Neptune in Pisces, then quincunx aspects to Mars in Gemini and to Venus in Aries, for a close Yod formation, very fortuitous in the present situation of blocked negotiations. A workable formula may be achieved. Chiron and Jupiter are still in a close conjunction aspect in Aries, an indication that wounds are opened. This is also an opportunity to heal, as grievances are aired. The Moon makes a sextile aspect to Pluto in Capricorn overnight (US time zones) early on Monday in Europe and the Middle East. A transformation is possible.

Monday March 13th — The Moon ingress to Sagittarius early today, square aspect to Saturn in Pisces, followed by a sextile aspect to Ceres retro in Libra. Retribution as a motive needs to take into account the future for generations to come. The Moon trine aspect to Chiron and Jupiter in Aries, as Jupiter supersedes Chiron. Venus supersedes the sextile aspect to Mars. The will for a peaceful negotiation may succeed in reaching agreements.

Tuesday March 14th — The Moon in Sadge is quincunx aspect to Uranus in Taurus early today. The objections raised by radical opponents are under siege, shot down by reason, or a higher standard. The Moon is then in square aspects to Mercury, Sun, and Neptune in Pisces for a day of counter attacks. The Sun approaches the conjunction aspect to Neptune, as disillusionment prevails. The power to regenerate and rebuild is inherent in the demise. Mars in Gemini is in square aspects to Neptune and the Sun, as opponents seek to advance beyond the conflict.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday March 1st — The Moon in Cancer makes a trine aspect to the Sun in Pisces, and square aspects to Jupiter and Venus in Aries. It is difficult to rein in the high energy of the day. Venus and Jupiter are in conjunction aspect and parallel by declination (a visual merging of the planets occurs). Caution should be taken not to over-indulge or act out inappropriately. Mercury in Aquarius approaches the conjunction aspect with Saturn, indicating limitations that need to be heeded. The long-term aspect of Saturn in Aquarius semi-sextile to Pluto in Capricorn, although a minor aspect, has major implications. Both Saturn and Pluto are in the final degree of a sign. The ingress of Saturn to Pisces indicates the final stage of the Saturn cycle, brings to a close an era of historical significance. The partile semi-sextile aspect imparts to Saturn the Pluto message. Saturn in turn limits the overhaul of power that comprehensive Pluto desires.  Perhaps a warning of issues to be examined in the coming transit of Pisces. All gains must also have increased responsibilities.

Thursday March 2ndVenus in Aries supersedes the conjunction aspect with Jupiter and approaches the conjunction aspect with Chiron. The Sun in Pisces is semi-sextile aspect to the Jupiter-Venus conjunction, both repelling and attracting the hubris involved. For example: we envy you and love you all the same. Involving community is vital to continued success. Mercury partile conjunction aspect to Saturn at 29 deg Aquarius, messages the end of an era, and makes an ingress to Pisces. The Moon in Cancer makes a sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus early morning hours (US time zones) while afternoon in Europe and the Middle East, late afternoon in China and Australia. Friday March 3rd — The Moon in Cancer is in an opposition aspect with Pluto in the final degree of Capricorn, and quincunx aspect to Saturn in the final degree of Aquarius. Debates concerning health (origin of covid-19) are peaking again, with inconclusive findings. International intervention might be launched. Health issues concerning a future pandemic as well as diseases in earthquake disaster areas become international concerns. The Sun in Pisces and semi-sextile aspect to Jupiter and Venus in Aries, spurs advancement of personal concerns regarding universal freedoms. Venus supersedes the conjunction aspect with Jupiter and makes a conjunction aspect with Chiron in Aries, as personal protection from legal action is sought by many. The Moon ingress to Leo (15:17 UT) making a quincunx aspect to Mercury in Pisces, followed by a square aspect to Ceres in Libra. Creators face increased scrutiny for inappropriate or biased content, rejected by leaders seeking cultural balance.

Saturday March 4th — The Moon in Leo makes easy trine aspects to Jupiter, Venus, and Chiron in Aries for productive gain in ventures, although a quincunx aspect to the Sun in Pisces raises questions of authenticity. A square aspect to Uranus could reverse the trend in volatile trading. Mercury in Pisces makes a quincunx aspect to Ceres in Libra with doubts emerging to challenge to health-related practices. The Moon makes a sextile aspect to Mars overnight (US time zones), and morning hours in the eastern half of the globe, as adjustment to health and economic circumstances result.

Sunday March 5th — The Moon in Leo makes a quincunx aspect to Neptune in Pisces, followed a few hours later by an opposition aspect to Saturn in Aquarius and a quincunx aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. A Yod formation could be effective for some individuals, although the benefits could be limited. Recognition for creative art could be one achievement. The Moon ingress to Virgo (3:40 on Monday UT) late in the afternoon for US, indicating a practical, work-oriented outlook.

Monday March 6th — The Moon in Virgo makes an opposition aspect to Mercury in Pisces and a semi-sextile aspect to Ceres in Libra could coincide with a mammoth cleanup project, including identifying corruption. Uncovering dietary additives as the contributing factor of health issues challenges the health professions and food processing industries. The Sun in Pisces makes a sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus, as further adjustments may require personal contact with financial advisors. The day before the Full Moon phase, decisions made at the New Moon need cultivation to produce desired results, or living with the consequences may be unavoidable now.

Full Moon in Virgo
March 7, 2023

Tuesday March 7th — The Full Moon (12:42 UT), morning hours in the US, afternoon in the eastern hemisphere, [chart insert] in Virgo, could produce psychic phenomena, as is typical with the lunar phase.  Investments in health yield results. Jupiter in Aries and in a conjunction aspect with Chiron relates to expansion of the available health care, especially mental health. Saturn ingress to Pisces, forms a stellium, with a focus on the collapse or disintegration of social programs. Training professional health care workers is essential to meet the growing need. The approaching square aspect of Mars in Gemini to Neptune in Pisces, challenges existing services, as the Moon transits to an opposition aspect to Neptune in Pisces, a T-square configuration develops putting Mars (goal directed action), as a counter force in the arena of psychiatric health.
