This week fleet-footed Mercury transits from Aries and a square aspect to Saturn in Capricorn to ingress Taurus and make a conjunction aspect to Uranus. While the term “coup” implies a violent take-over of government (coup d’état) , a concept that gains traction with the current vocal mode that has language and truth upended. This is destabilizing for now and in the end revolutionary trends erupt by the 8th of May. As a neutral influence, Mercury is impartial but takes on the qualities of the sign and aspects presenting at any specific time. The fire sign Aries confers initiative to the communication that Mercury is noted for. In the company of Venus, Chiron and the lunar transit, Mercury gains innovation in Aries. Mars in Gemini is the dispositor of the planets transiting Aries. Therefore, Mars gathers strength in goal seeking. Warrior-like Mars disrupts the power of Gemini natal planets (such as those of DJT). Mars energizes by transit. Mars dislikes limitations, and there is likely to be a rebellious thrust this week, as Mercury, in a conjunction with Uranus, reports the progress of the revolution. The New Moon on May 4th helps to focus on the coming turn of events.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday May 1st – The Moon’s passage into Aries begins the cycle of the zodiac anew today. We can awaken to new possibilities, as the month of May begins. Mars in Gemini is energized as well by the lunar transit, as Mars is the ruler of Aries and the dispositor of the planets therein – Mercury, Venus and asteroid Chiron – while the Moon transits the sign, promoting change. This change must occur on the individual level as well. Mercury in Aries is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn in Capricorn, quite possibly a realization begins to change the minds and the direction of public opinion, born of the Mueller report and subsequent investigations (Uranus in Taurus), and regarding the inflexible stance of the objects of the report (Saturn in Capricorn). Saturn is stationary in Capricorn, as it turns retrograde. As the Moon transits Chiron, we are more likely to reflect and uncover the inner voice of wisdom.
Thursday May 2nd – The Moon transits the conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Venus in Aries. Expressing personal insights or even finding a new attraction can brighten your day. Mercury in Aries approaches the square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Pluto in Capricorn, paving the way for more explosive discoveries, possibly rocking establishments worldwide. Jupiter in Sag remains in a semi–sextile aspect (30 deg, mildly favorable) to Pluto (both retrograde) amplifying the event. Political and/or economic world order is shifting. As the Moon transits to a square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn and conjunction aspect to Mercury late in the day, newly discovered details are revealed.
Friday May 3rd – The Moon conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Mercury and trine aspect to Jupiter reveals details of the motivations of certain power figures, Mars in opposition aspect (180 deg, discord) to Jupiter pulls away from identifying features of the revelation. Denials are used to protect and deflect responsibility. Identifying with a philosophical position, a religious or political can influence role goal seeking activity. This can be both a positive influence or a destructive association. A polarization of identification results in the overall social community. The Moon ingress to Taurus later in the day, meets up with Uranus for the type of reversals we are looking for. Mars in Gemini moves to an opposition aspect to Jupiter retro in Sag. Jupiter has more astrological power, designated the ruler of the sign Sagittarius. Legal suits could be swiftly denied (opposition aspect). The new Moon at 6:47 PM EDT epitomizes the reality. The earth sign conjunction is powerful for practical initiatives. Mars in Gemini and in an opposition aspect to Jupiter in Sag isolates and defines the legality and scope of an investigation. May 4, 2019 GMT
Saturday May 4th – The New Moon effect (at 14 deg Taurus) gets underway today around the world, with the ballot counting in the populous countries of Indonesia and India, and Australia prepares to vote on May 19. This soli-lunar cycle seeks more grounded actions, not defined by imagination. With five planets in earth signs (Sun, Moon, Uranus, Pluto and Saturn), matters grounded in tradition predominate, while Mars is the only planet in air signs (singleton in air) is forceful. Neptune is a singleton in the water element and could also indicate emotional appeal that is likely to erupt curing this cycle. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has four powerful planets in Taurus in her natal chart, and natal Mercury retro is conjunct aspect (0 deg, combining) the transiting Neptune singleton. DJT, on the other hand, with fiery Mars in Leo, has 0 planets in earth signs. A void in an element shows a person is over-reaching and groping for the qualities of the element. Earth denotes stability and practicality. Pelosi has the power to predominate this cycle.
Sunday May 5th – The Moon in Taurus is trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, as the emotional flow for justice gains a majority consent. The environmental movements gain influence globally. Saturn transcends Ketu in Capricorn, approaching the conjunction (0deg aspect, combining) with Pluto, for unity in generational power. Mars in Gemini is quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Pluto in Cap, for more creative opportunism for gaining recognition.
Monday May 6th – The Moon is in Gemini, and Mercury will move into Taurus today. While there is more flexibility with Gemini, Mercury (cognitive process) becomes more practical in Taurus. Whatever we feel may change, but the process stays according to standard values. Venus, the dispositor of planets in Taurus, is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn in Capricorn (ruling planet of the sign). Saturn turns retrograde, slowly moving away from the conjunction aspect with Pluto, an aspect that will reach partile in January 2020, when both bodies are moving in a direct fashion. While there is a push to start the impeachment process, wait and see is the best option for now.
Tuesday May 7th– The Moon in Gemini hits on sore spots today – square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune and sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Venus in Taurus, and in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Jupiter in Sag while a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Mars in Gemini, in addition to the quincunx aspect to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. Action can be expected, as well as inaction on some quarters, with the opposition aspect. Requests may be denied, but other options remain open. Obstruction of Justice is demonstrated by whatever irrational means available. Mercury in Taurus, approaches the conjunction aspect with Uranus, the Sun casts a wave of concern in a sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Neptune in Pisces, and the Moon moves into Cancer late in the day or early morning, depending on location. The day of reckoning for government over the border crisis and the power struggle of POTUS vs Congress is approaching although the process involves a coordinated effort, symbolized by the planetary arrangements.
Have a successful week!
