The week starts out with a New Moon in Taurus – great for grounding energies, planting and starting new ventures in marketing. Taurus is centripetal in motion, in-drawing and consolidating. Plans for a goal are implemented. The goal oriented ideas that the Aries transit (Moon) has visualized may not have been actualized, although the direct energy of Aries found new ground, new horizons. Physical action in this earth sign (Taurus), toward a fixed goal is in harmony with the cycle. Ruled by Venus, the planet representing our ability to attract and harmonize, Taurus gets the basic work done. Venus now in Pisces is the dispositor of the New Moon (Taurus is ruled by Venus) seeming to direct the energy, with a view of a process that is near completion. Pisces is empathetic, and Venus at the last degree of Pisces ruled by Neptune as the dispositor of Venus, will tend to the transpersonal or universal will of the time. Mercury retrograde, and the current dispositor of Mars, conjunct Uranus, could promote a startling outcome, a reversal in power structures that sets the tone for the era. Mercury will be stationary this week, turning direct and transiting Uranus again by May 8th, so that reversals and counter-actions take place. Old, trusted ideas are transformed.
Summary of major aspects of the week:
Wednesday April 26th– The New Moon in Taurus helps to internalize shocking developments as Mercury (media, communication) conjuncts Uranus (reversals, upsets). While the Taurus energy would not regard new ideas favorably, unless personal gain is involved, Mercury conjunct Uranus is opening new avenues for consideration. Radical ideas may have to be considered this week, and possible consolidated into a working solution. Upsets in standard assumptions are likely. Initiating a new project along lines of innovation would be favored.
Thursday April 27th – The Moon in Taurus transits in a trine aspect (120 deg, favorable) to Pluto in Capricorn, as power is exerted especially in legislative government, as a conflict is at its peak, with Mercury conjunct Uranus. This could be the constitutional and legal power, as Pluto is disposited by Saturn in Sagittarius. Sagittarius represents the legislature, court and application of law.
Friday April 28th – Venus ingress Aries, knowing that a new era is dawning. Self-reliance, goals for self-satisfaction and self-determination are pushing forward. Transformation is necessary to move with the times. New horizons await. What we value may change. While truth is constant, our relevancy to the fixed notions can undergo a shift. Jupiter retro in Libra approaches a quincunx (150 deg) aspect with Neptune, stimulating a greater understanding. This aspect reaches partile in May. Environmental and refugee issues surge into awareness. A more urgent crisis could form now with Mercury retro exactly conjunct to Uranus in Aries. As the Moon transits Mars early today, the jolt of awakening to action takes place.
Saturday April 29th – The Moon in Gemini forms a quincunx aspect (150 deg, difficult) to Pluto, indicating a universal rejection of enforced action, or an inability to relate to complex issues. Later in the day, as the Moon opposes Saturn, a greater standard is invoked. Personal choices (Moon in Gemini) are focused on overcoming a blocked process in legislative or court, in legal matters or institutions such as higher education (Saturn in Sag). Mercury and Mars are in mutual reception, Mercury retro conjunct to Uranus can signal problems in communication, disruption of Internet service or unexpected chaos. Working this out together is a priority as Mars is the dispositor of Venus now in Aries, and certain to want to get the job done! Technical and electrical problems are later resolved.
Sunday April 30th – The Moon moves into Cancer early today, where it is square to Venus (90 deg aspect, harsh) and sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to the Sun. We all enjoy the same things, basically, we might agree. The Moon is trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Neptune in Pisces, as we try for a universal acceptance and agreement. Enjoy a relaxing day! The square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Jupiter and opposition (180 deg, hard) to Pluto ensures that majority rule is maintained. Jupiter is conjunct the focal point of the opposition between the Moon and Pluto.
Monday May 1st – With legislative and vote fait accompli, the Moon in Cancer forms a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mercury and Uranus in Aries. Mercury and Uranus may still be combining to correlate with the disruptions in communication and electrical or digital components of communication. The lunar aspect is zapping more energy into the mix. Some backlash might be anticipated. The majority seem satisfied. (Jupiter in Libra)
Tuesday May 2nd– The Moon is in Leo and forms a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Venus early in the day. However, the Moon sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Mars in Gemini initiates greater debate. The Sun in Taurus is sextile (60 deg friendly) to Neptune in Pisces, as the expanding needs of the have-nots of the earth cannot be ignored. Financial difficulties and questions remain in providing for basic needs of the growing communities around the globe. Saturn is doubly approaching (although slowly developing) a trine aspect to Uranus in Aries. This would apply help to mitigate some of the more radical proposals or revolutionary group actions, political or community oriented groups. The first quarter of the solar-lunar cycle is reached later in the day, as the crisis of the week emerges.
