The 3rd quarter Moon is a crucial stage of the soli-lunar cycle, bringing to the fore a conflict or an opportunity to resolve issues of the cycle that began at the New Moon. The previous New Moon of this cycle was on the 15th of May. The chart for this 3rd quarter Moon is fascinating. Beware! Remember that the personal implications of this reading are not the same as for this general reading of the aspects that it is possible to apply to events from anywhere around the world. The aspects for a personal chart have a more focused meaning, and include the relationship of the current transits to natal planetary positions. Individuals retain their own personality. Just as words may mean different things according to the context, so this reading applies to issues that arise during the lunar cycle. However, the New Moon on the 13th of June represents a new cycle, a new beginning as it were, for personal and world-wide international relations. It is an opportunity to realign your actions with your goals. It is a time to plant the seeds for the future.
Wednesday June 6th – As the Moon transits to conjunct Neptune in Pisces today, dreams and/or illusions may surface. Note the heavy conflicts in the chart (see image above). The Moon and Neptune are in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the Sun and Mercury, so that illusions are challenged with open conflict of ideas (Mercury) and viewpoints (Sun) in Gemini. Jupiter in Scorpio is in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Moon–Neptune conjunction, expanding the influence of the Pisces boundlessness. There is more empathy for the underdogs of social order, increased giving and increased remorse. There is a personal identification with the less fortunate. There is a counter influence as greater conflict undermines the lives of large numbers of people world-wide. More tragic events, volcanic eruption, adverse weather conditions assail those who are unable to find shelter. Therefore, there is an increase in suffering.
Thursday June 7th – The Moon continues in Pisces sextile to Pluto evoking universal suffering and empathy, then in a trine aspect to Venus in Cancer, as the expression of warnings for the coming reality of the age that is evolving, with expanded populations and greater suffering. Health issues are of greater concern as pandemics could sweep the areas affected by natural disasters. Budgetary issues cause greater stress as well expanding the use of shared resources (Jupiter in Scorpio) trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Neptune. Mercury quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Pluto seems inimical to the suffering of many, and might be a signal that powerful leaders are becoming less relevant to the needs of the nations they serve. The Moon ingress to Aries later in the day, as emergency effort begins. The Moon conjunct Chiron in Aries brings to the surface an inner voice of experience, some guidance for the day.
Friday June 8th –The Moon in Aries is in sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Mars in Aquarius and also in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn in Capricorn. This is seemingly a contradiction. The harsh square aspect could limit or even block our innermost desires, our abilities to advance (Moon in Aries, fire sign) our projects to realize goals (Saturn in Capricorn). The softer aspect (sextile, helpful) to Mars in Aquarius is a work-around aspect. Mars is the ruler of Aries and therefore the dispositor of the Moon. Saturn however is unmovable. It is ruler of the sign Capricorn and its own dispositor. Success with this combination might rely on initiative (Mars) that is both as objective and universal (Aquarius), therefore lacking in personal advantage, but for the greater good, a universal goal that is not based on self-interest. Saturn (authority) must have correctness in order to have justification for positions taken. Actions today may not resolve issues, but a conflict may be resolved with concerted effort to see the light and truth of the matter. Furthermore, Mercury in Gemini (a sign Mercury rules) is its own dispositor also, and is quincunx aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. This is a further complication that could influence the outcome today, as more information (Mercury) is extracted from the institutional (Capricorn) power center (Pluto). This may be Constitutional Law and applying the law to any situation that is current. Jupiter in Scorpio is disposed of by Pluto, so the issues of law have increased (Jupiter) interest now, while Pluto is disposed of by Saturn which could mean the application of tenets of Constitutional law.
Saturday June 9th – The Moon in Aries is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Pluto in Capricorn while also in a sextile aspect (60 deg, working) to the Sun and Mercury in Gemini today. This aspect might indicate court judgments, as Pluto is the dispositor of Jupiter in Scorpio (as Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio). This could involve prominent class action suits or financial awards (Jupiter in Scorpio). As the Moon continues to the square aspect with Venus in Cancer, a T-square configuration, and brings the opposition aspect (180 deg, tension) of Venus and Pluto into focus. Issues are controversial leaving cases still undecided as requests for appeals are made. The Moon ingress to Taurus in the afternoon hours, meets up with Uranus at the gate. This might be a reversal (Uranus) of rulings and discontent as a result of critical actions taken.
Sunday June 10th – The Moon in Taurus reaches the square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mars in Aquarius. The Moon is disposed of by Venus in Cancer, connecting to the imbalance of power and court judgments. The result could be massive protest. The Moon trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Saturn appeals for calm and to follow the legal process. The Sun in Gemini is in a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Pluto in Capricorn, as loyalties may be split leaving indecision in complicated issues. The Moon’s opposition to Jupiter in Scorpio increases anticipation as benefits may result.
Monday June 11th – The Moon is in a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Pluto early in the day as a major transformation is underway. The Sun is quincunx aspect (150 deg, difficult) to Pluto: following protests and unrest, calm is restored as complex actions (quincunx) could hold promise. Mercury in Gemini is in a semi–sextile aspect (30 deg, slightly favorable) to Venus in Cancer. Earlier in the day, the Moon sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Neptune indicated some relief from the pressures of protest, as old issues are dissolved.
Tuesday June 12th – The Moon ingress Gemini today, a day and a half before the New Moon. Expectations are for the summit in Singapore where DJT and Kim Jong-Il will meet. A president who flouts his power will no doubt do just as he pleases, on this his solar return day – one deg from Gemini 22 deg and opposing natal Moon at 21 deg Sagittarius (birthday is June 14th). Although the meeting will not likely produce and tangible breakthrough agreements, the President’s hope to boost popularity is at best the most immediate result. Mercury transits into Cancer later in the afternoon, as the Sun reaches the 22nd deg of Gemini. Security issues at home (Mercury in Cancer) and the impressions of the summit are analyzed (Moon and Sun in Gemini).
