As the general election in the US approaches, a full Moon on October 31st, the second full Moon of the month, referred to as a blue Moon, threatens reversals. This Full Moon on Saturday in Taurus, with a conjunction aspect to Uranus retro and an opposition aspect to the Sun in Scorpio screams intensity. It is an intensity that transforms as a water-shed moment will. Emotions are drawn out. A square aspect from Mercury retro in Libra to Saturn in Capricorn realigns establishment views. This is the message that carries to election day on November 3rd, when Mercury turns direct.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday October 28th — The Moon in Aries is in an opposition aspect to Venus in Libra in the early morning hours, an indication of battle lines drawn, as two opposing sides seek to change the narrative. The Moon then transits to a conjunction with Chiron retro and at the same time is in a quincunx aspect to the Sun in Scorpio. Truth and attitude do matter in the final analysis. A semi–sextile aspect from the Moon to Uranus gives a hint of the events to come with the full Moon on Saturday.
Thursday October 29th — The Moon in aggressive Aries is conjunct Mars, the warrior, to upset the status of candidates as the Moon then is in square aspect to Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn. There may be revelations of past involvements, as Mars is retrograded, and thus uncovering the past would be a mission to undermine the standing of the opposing candidate, or a challenge to his character. As Mars is in an opposition aspect to Trump’s natal Jupiter in Libra, sextile aspect to natal Uranus, there are upsetting events indicated for the President. For Biden, transiting Mars is semi–square aspect to natal Uranus, and transiting Venus is trine natal Uranus and conjunct natal Neptune. The events could then indicate a fortuitous lift for his goal seeking, with only a slight challenge.
Friday October 30th — With the focus of the race on recent revelations, the Moon is square aspect to Saturn, bringing down a fair counter-accusation. The Moon’s opposition aspect to Mercury retro in Libra draws out more information from the past cycle and may bring out dirt on the candidate in question. The configuration makes a balance — a T-square — with Saturn as the focal point, indicating the standing administration, and the necessity to maintain an acceptable face in the ongoing attacks and counter- attacks. It is a power struggle, as Pluto stands between Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn. Transformation stands between the two parties — the Democratic and the Republican parties. Trump works to counter the rising tide of speculation, as a t-cross configuration forms with the transits and his natal Saturn-Venus in Cancer. The stock market’s plunge has an impact on Trump’s natal 2nd-8th houses. Mars transits his natal 8th house in opposition aspect to natal Jupiter in Libra and the 2nd house.

Saturday October 31st — At the full Moon in Taurus in conjunction with Uranus, the full extent of the failing markets becomes known. Biden, with natal Scorpio Sun and Taurus Moon is empowered by the events. His lunar return precedes the Moon–Uranus conjunction. His personal power is regenerated. Mercury retro in Libra is square aspect to Biden’s natal Jupiter and square aspect to Trump’s natal Venus at the same degree in Cancer. Mercury is transiting Biden’s 11th house of like-minded friends, while it is transiting Trump’s 3rd house, his community and siblings, as he tries to collect his wits.
Sunday November 1st — The Moon in Taurus, disposed of by Venus in Libra. Venus is in an opposition aspect to Chiron in Aries, drawing on the wisdom of experience. The Moon transits to trine aspects to Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. Monetary values are transformed. Increases are followed by a decline as the stock values plunge further. Mercury in Libra is in a square aspect to Saturn in Capricorn, as uncertainty about the future causes further decline stock values.
Monday November 2nd — The Moon in Gemini is trine aspect to Venus in Libra early today, as persuasive speeches are made. Mercury retro also in Libra is in a square aspect to Saturn, an aspect of conflict, as choices are made for the future leader of the US. Mercury’s role is decisive in the outcome of the race. Mercury is disposed of by Venus. Venus denotes likability, peace and reform of justice. Venus forms a quincunx aspect to Uranus, the inconjunct, an aspect of combining elements that are dis-similar, as voters tend to disregard party affiliation. Uranus in Taurus is disposed of by Venus as well. and could be an indication that voters change their opinions and vote for a candidate because of likability.
Tuesday November 3rd — On this day the US voters have a voice in the government’s future composition, both the executive and legislative branches. Mercury in Libra retrograde turns direct in a square aspect to Saturn in Capricorn. A perfect image for government elected democratically. The choice between the man with Venus in Cancer or the man with Jupiter in Cancer. In many minds, the vote could be for the greater or lesser evil, the promises v. the experience, or the select v. the inclusive. As Mercury pivots mid-day, the count seems to shift in favor. The future to behold.
