Greater Clarity Brings Reversals — May 26 – June 2, 2021

The Full Moon in Sagittarius on Wednesday is eclipsed by the Sun.

Full Moon eclipse
May 26, 2021

There is an exact alignment at 21 deg north declination, as well as an opposition aspect by longitude. In locations where this occurs before sunrise or after sunset, the lunar eclipse will be visible to the naked eye. The Universal Time (UT) of the eclipse is 11:15, so England, Europe and Middle Eastern countries will not be able to observe the eclipse. In the western hemisphere, the eclipse will be visible before dawn (although the East Coast of the US could miss out). However, the astrological implications are the same everywhere. With Saturn now in retrograde phase, the square aspect to Uranus increases this week as the two are doubly approaching the aspect, reaching partile on June 15. Mercury in Gemini enters retrograde phase on May 30th, when it is in a conjunction aspect to Venus. Venus continues in a direct phase, with its ingress to Cancer on June 2nd.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday May 26thThe Full Moon aspect connects Sagittarius with the Sun in Geminimutable signs (image included). The preceding New Moon on May 11th was in Taurus and part of a stellium, so now at the Full Moon we can find help to adjust the issues involved. Political issues, issues of philosophical or religious importance, are raised to solve seemingly intractable disagreements. Legal and political wrangling over the path forward for a fractured nation continue. Saturn retro in Aquarius, square aspect to Uranus in Taurus, narrows arguments to focus on transforming the status quo. Ceres semi-square to Neptune indicates urgent care needed for young people injured. Self-healing is recommended now to help resolve emotional pain.

Thursday May 27th — The Moon in Sadge with an opposition aspect to Venus and Mercury in Gemini, after the quincunx aspect to Mars in Cancer, as follow-up discussions are polarized. Neptune in Pisces at the mid-point of the opposition aspects making the T-square in mutable signs, reduces the likelihood of an outcome that is actionable. Pain is felt universally. Options for a reversal of status are slowly eliminated with Saturn in Aquarius plying the square aspect to Uranus in Taurus. Uranus is the dispositor of Saturn, seeking to up-end power structures. Uranus is disposed of by Venus in Gemini, disposed of by Mercury, also in Gemini, as a final dispositor. Information gathering is the goal of the mission. The Moon ingress Capricorn overnight, early on Friday in the eastern hemisphere. A sextile aspect from the Moon to Jupiter in Pisces shows promise for completing the route.

Friday May 28th — The Moon in Capricorn is quincunx aspect to the Sun in Gemini. With creative approaches, roadblocks can be navigated. Tension and anxiety are often the result of a defeatist attitude.  Searching for a workable solution finds success. The Moon in a trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus indicates a reversal of stance, especially in media reports, as Venus is the dispositor of Uranus in Taurus, and Mercury in Gemini the final dispositor. Venus and Mercury are now in a conjunction aspect in Gemini, reaching partile overnight, as Mercury enters its retrograde phase on Sunday.

Saturday May 29th — The Moon in Capricorn is in an opposition aspect to Mars in Cancer, while Mars is trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces. The Moon is the dispositor of Mars. Defensive actions gain acceptance with more clarity. The Moon in a sextile aspect to Neptune indicates work on disinformation, seeking to reform policies as the Moon reaches the conjunction aspect with Pluto retro in Cap. Mercury in Gemini goes into the retrograde phase in the early morning hours, a synchronism to a reversal in media reports. The Moon ingress to Aquarius follows.

Sunday May 30th — The Moon in Aquarius is in a trine aspect to the Sun by early afternoon, EDT. Mars in Cancer is trine aspect to Neptune, deflating aggressive portrayals.  Venus in Gemini is quincunx aspect to Pluto in Cap, while Mercury retro in Gemini in a square aspect to Neptune in Pisces exposing illusions.  The Sun in Gemini is in a conjunction aspect with Rahu (the north lunar node), propelling a spin on media reports. Mars in Cancer (disposed of by the Moon in Aquarius), and trine aspect to Neptune that could inflame activists with calls for revenge.

Monday May 31st — The Moon in Aquarius is trine aspect to the Mercury retro and, a few hours later, to Venus in Gemini adding clarity to issues as Mars in Cancer transcends the trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces.  The Moon was quincunx aspect to Mars two hours earlier, possibly indicating events instilling doubt to the authenticity of motivations for aggressive actions. The Moon trine aspect to Venus and conjunction aspect with Jupiter in Pisces, as good fortune follows a change of heart.

Tuesday June 1st — The Sun in Gemini approaches the trine aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, as pressure is mounting, and Saturn applies to the square aspect to Uranus in Taurus, seeking to exchange policy for enlightened universal principles over conservative politics, putting correctness before personal advantage. Mars in Cancer approaches the opposition aspect to Pluto retro in Cap, potentially undermining past policies and with a reversal of public opinion. Mercury in a square aspect to Neptune, a reversal of alliance in the media takes place with the Moon in Pisces square aspect to the Sun in Gemini, and sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus. If you‘ve had it wrong, get it right now. Change is a necessary ingredient for progress. Venus ingress to Cancer late in the day is then disposed by the Moon in Pisces. Loyalties become entrenched.
