Global Consequences of Nature’s Wrath – Week of May 9-15 2018

“With one touch of nature makes the world kin” wrote William Shakespeare about 400 years ago. He understood the oneness within the individual nature, reinventing as it were the human drama. We reach out to one another in time of disaster.

Astrology indicates that we are about to experience a dramatic change. Social media weakens under the prevalence of fake news.  While the rules for internet providers are possibly eliminating an open access for Internet business entrepreneurship. Mars and Uranus conflict as they both enter the next sign in the pathway around the wheel. Mars in Aquarius is disposted by Uranus in Taurus while in square aspectMars conjunct Pluto a week ago, coincided with the Hawaiian volcano erupting.  The Sun in opposition (180 deg, tension) to Jupiter draws us as though compelled by an inner force of gravity to respond to victims of natural disasters. Uranus in Taurus indicates an upheaval of earth and earthy values, agriculture and commerce. A revolt (Uranus) against agricultural tariffs (Taurus) could rattle the administration.  Mars in Aquarius signifies focused efforts to achieve the ideals of democracy.  Jupiter in opposition aspect to the Sun as the #Metoo movement makes a global impact. With a rise in popularity polls, President Trump takes the initiative to further his agenda.

The conjunction of Mars and Pluto initiated Mars‘ action for change with the sudden expression of nature’s power in volcanic action. As Mars moves into Aquarius and Uranus the ruler of Aquarius moves into Taurus, more metaphorical earthquakes can be expected. Social Media enters a new phase of more government regulation of the Internet restricting ease of access, allowing more volume of visitors to the bigger players, and squeezing out the smaller companies and entrepreneur profiles.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday May 9thMercury is square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the midpoint of PlutoMars in Capricorn. Mercury, the fleet-footed one, brings the message. Pluto and Mars conjunct in Capricorn are intent on rapid destruction. The sides are lining up as the mark on the sand becomes clear. The message (Mercury) impacts the basic power (Pluto) structure (Capricorn) of the world order.  The Moon in Pisces is in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Jupiter in Scorpio as Neptune is transited by the Moon giving the planet without boundaries (Neptune) a magnified influence. The POTUS choice to withdraw from the International agreement with Iran may be made public today, producing shock waves of change and counter-actions.

Thursday May 10th – A crucial day in the struggle. The Sun trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Pluto encourages compliance, while Mercury is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mars conjunct (0 deg, combining) Uranus, spells risk. This could be the open-ended agreement to comply with the investigation. The counter push to restore the net neutrality rules is gaining momentum in the US Senate. The waning Moon transits Neptune early in the day, dissolving the past, then is sextile (60 deg, helpful) to the Sun, a tine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Jupiter in Scorpio and in a square aspect to Venus in Gemini. The dissolution of a social order or even global power structure continues, benefiting some powers, while restricting others.

Friday May 11th – The Moon enters Aries and is also conjunct to Chiron early in the day, as initiatives take off. The Sun in Taurus is in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Pluto (earth signs) while Venus is quincunx (150 deg, complex) the submerged power of Pluto. The role of power is assumed by the Sun (ego center) while Venus may search for an influential role or coerce expression of more subconscious power. Mars square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus strengthens as increased power conflict is expressed.

Saturday May 12thMercury in Aries is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mars in Capricorn, also in conjunction to Uranus, with the Moon also joining the UranusMercury conjunction, as personal messages are heard from within the disaster scene.  Advanced technology reports on the effects. The Sun and Venus in semisextile aspect (30 deg, mildly favorable) and both in aspect to Pluto, join efforts to rescue victims of disasters, promote efforts to subpoena power figures. The Sun trine (120 deg, easy) to Pluto gives resources in exchange for power, while Venus quincunx to Pluto gives and receives more critical complaints.

Sunday May 13thMercury transcends Uranus and enters the sign of Taurus, and the Moon reaches the conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) of Mercury and Uranus, and then follows Mercury into TaurusMars in Capricorn ignites the MoonUranus conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with a square aspect (90 deg, harsh), blowing off steam.  A revolutionary change in power (Uranus) could reverse strategy (Saturn in Capricorn) by the end of the day.

Monday May 14th – As the Moon progresses toward the Sun and the New Moon (conjunction of the Sun and Moon), the old cycle dissolves with the sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Neptune in Pisces, then in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Jupiter, drawing support for actions taken, however revolutionary. The revolution may be defeated, as the supporting actors take cover in more secure stance, and suppression is achieved as the Moon trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Pluto prior to the New Moon.

Tuesday May 15th – The New Moon in Taurus and Uranus transit into Taurus coincide, as revolutionary goals are reassessed. Global suppression of economic resources serves to realign friend and foe.  Opposition is in retreat (Jupiter trine aspect -120 deg, easy- to Neptune).  The Moon trine aspect to Mars in Cap motivates action prior to the Moon entering Gemini and Mars into AquariusJupiter is doubly approaching a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Neptune in Pisces (water signs) as well as a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Ceres in Leo. The preservation of agricultural plenty (Ceres in Leo) is impeded (Jupiter square to Ceres) results in famine and greater social inequities (Neptune in Pisces).
