Gemini New Moon in Power Shift — May 25-June 1 2022

Overview

From the stellium in Aries on May 25th to the New Moon in Gemini on May 30th, Mercury retrograde transits in reentry to Taurus. The opposition aspect of Mercury to Pres Biden’s Venus/Sun conjunction in Scorpio, is an opportunity for him to re-set his policies.  It is an opportunity for many to review the recent record, especially the economic situation, and the balance of supply and demand for basic goods. Biden’s natal Sun/ Venus is also sextile to transiting Pluto retro in Capricorn, an indication of applied work creates a transformation.  The stellium in Aries this week offers an opportunity for beginning new projects. Mars in the first 5 degrees of Aries encourages ambitions. With a war-like aggressiveness, destruction may follow. While Mercury retro in Taurus is concerned about stability, Uranus in Taurus cares less. Despite cautionary advice from Mercury, spending increases. The Moon conjunction with Jupiter in Aries also indicates the value of spending for social or humanitarian concerns. Mercury is trine aspect to Pluto in Capricorn with an appeal for universal consent. Venus’ ingress to Taurus, a sign of rulership, on the 28th of May for comforting promises, helping to soothe anxieties.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday May 25th — Headstrong Mars in Aries is moderated by the Moon/Jupiter conjunction sextile aspect to the Sun. New sources of wealth are revealed. Financial markets are ready to bound forward. Mercury retro in Taurus advises caution. Volatility continues with Uranus in Taurus. Jupiter/Moon are sextile aspect to the Sun in Gemini, as many possibilities are considered, including some that appear very inviting, like shiny objects or fool’s gold. Mercury retro is trine aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn, signifying a system of mind control, or perhaps a regressive group psychology that is infecting large numbers.  This could revolve around a financial panacea or even an infectious disease, as a return of the pandemic or a new pathogen. The Moon transits Chiron in Aries signifying an awakening of intuition.

Thursday May 26th — The Moon in Aries is sextile aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, as it approaches the conjunction aspect to Venus in Aries. Saturn limits the possible outcome of an endeavor, as a more realistic approach is taken.  Also, Venus approaches a square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn as disagreements deflate the prospects for gain, even as aggressive anger overtakes the scene.  Venus semi-sextile to Mercury indicates the competing rational, eliminating the impact of the contract indicated by Mercury trine aspect to Pluto. The Moon ingress to Taurus overnight, early on Friday in Europe and points eastward.

Friday May 27th — The Moon in Taurus makes semi-sextile aspects to Mars and Jupiter in Aries, then semi-sextile to the Sun in Gemini, as gains are moderated or dispersed. Mars approaches the conjunction aspect with Jupiter as profit-taking for personal gain is likely. Mercury retro in Taurus is separating from the trine aspect to Pluto, as Venus in Aries separates from the square aspect to Pluto, as the group pressure to conformity slowly withdraws. Mercury retro approaches the square aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, indicating that practical thought outweighs originality, as limitations on expenditures are imposed.

Saturday May 28th — The Moon in Taurus makes the conjunction aspect with Uranus early in the US time zones, although afternoon in eastern hemisphere. President Biden is ready to respond to the upset in financial markets, as Uranus/Moon are in an opposition aspect to the midpoint of his natal Mars and Mercury in Scorpio, while Mercury retro is in an opposition aspect to his natal Sun/Venus in Scorpio. Mars transits closer to the conjunction aspect with Jupiter in Aries. Exploitation for personal gain is one possible outcome, although power-sharing would be a more-evolved possibility at this point in the history of financial and/or political power struggles.  Venus’ ingress to Taurus produces a stellium in the fixedearth sign. Venus is the ruler of Taurus so in her own element here. Financial gain illuminates her beauty. Mars conjunction aspect to Jupiter reaches partile late in the day, and a victory is claimed.

Sunday May 29th — The Moon, in the last decan of Taurus, transits the conjunction aspect with Mercury retro, extending the trine aspect to Pluto in Capricorn, early in the day, or before dawn in western locals.  Strategies begin to shift with a change in power structure. Mars transcends Jupiter in the conjunction aspect in Aries, gaining enhanced power to reach a goal.  The Moon ingress to Gemini, transits to the semisextile aspect with Venus and then the sextile aspect to Jupiter and Mars in Aries, as a renewed effort produces significant progress, adjusting the balance of power (Venus in Taurus).

New Moon Chart
May 30, 2022

Monday May 30th— The New Moon in Gemini [see image] is reached by noon GMT, early morning US time zones. Mercury in Taurus, now retrograde, is the dispositor of the New Moon.  The impending soli-lunar cycle moves forward beyond the bowl or bucket pattern of planets in the zodiac that has been evident over the past few weeks. Thus, we are moving out of a static system, propelled by a changed global mind-set.  Mars conjunction aspect with Jupiter remains within the orb of influence, as Mars transits forward implementing enhanced goals. Mercury retro approaches the square aspect to Saturn in Aquarius and the sextile aspect to Neptune, as humanitarian assistance forges peace. Saturn and Neptune are in semi-sextile aspect, having an inter-active effect on one another, the humanitarian and the controller. The Moon transits beyond the conjunction aspect with the Sun, forming a sextile aspect to Chiron in Aries, an aspect of cooperation, and assisting in an image make-over.

Tuesday May 31stSaturn in Aquarius and Neptune in Pisces are in a close semi-sextile aspect, as the Moon in Gemini makes a square aspect to Neptune and a trine aspect to Saturn. Rapid change on the active war front with increased capabilities and enhanced motivation seeming a Mars conjunction with Jupiter in Aries. The Moon transits to a quincunx aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn, impacting the strategy and balance of power globally. Saturn is the dispositor of Pluto, as a massive increase in power changes the equation, undermining the strength of the aggressor. The US Constitution assigned power to Congress to allocate funds. The effective date of the Constitution is 17 September 1787. A chart for that date has Saturn retro at 23 deg Aquarius, and trine aspect to Jupiter in 25 deg Gemini and also trine aspect to Neptune at 17 deg Libra (V. Putin’s natal Saturn is at 17 deg Libra). The effective grand-trine configuration in the chart of the Constitution, indicates the swiftness of action under circumstances of humanitarian and/or military power to advance justice worldwide.
