Full Moon Exposes Conflict — March 24-31 2021

Overview

With back-to-back mass shootings in the USA, prior to the full Moon, the issue of gun rights vs the right to citizens safety is certain to be at the top of the agenda. As soon as restrictions on travel are lifted, the nation starts to reopen, an opportunity to reassess social and legal rights and restrictions is present. The new administration and a Democratic-led Congress should help resolve the dead-lock that has prevented common-sense gun legislation from passage into law. Yet, the underlying issues of a lack of internalized socialization at the early educational developmental stage persist. Both Jupiter and Saturn are planets that represent the process of internalized connection with family and communities. While the full range of psychological development touches on the processes represented by all the planets and the inter-relationship, the Moon is a major indicator or emotional health. The Moon and its aspects in the natal chart are significant in assessing mental health.  Locking up all the crazies is not the solution to this problem. Better socialization processes and learning, issues involving Mercury and aspects to Mercury, are very important in developing mental health.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday March 24th — The Moon in Leo forms a square aspect to Uranus in Taurus with the opposition aspect to Saturn following, for a major configuration – the T-square. The conflict of individuals seeking recreational gun use against the universal threats to personal safety and a limitation of individual rights form the 3 legs of the arguments. Saturn in Aquarius represents the strong argument for the limiting of a total and universal right to be armed to preserve personal safety, as written in the US Constitution, and in the end, may not be universal and absolute after-all. The Moon trine to Chiron, the wounded healer is another voice in the argument, that of the injured and bereaved.

Thursday March 25th — The Moon in a quincunx aspect to Neptune early today could be a sign that the argument for personal enjoyment of lethal weapons, tending to enhance a sense of personal power over the environment and over potential threats to personal safety, is diminished. At the same hour, the opposition aspect of the Moon to Jupiter in Aquarius could expand the sense of social awareness, such as the like-minded group of gun-owners, who protest and infringement of their second Amendment rights.   Mars conjunct Rahu (the north lunar node) in Gemini, leads to future development. It could now be the starting point of new initiatives (Mars) for future social agreements (Rahu) that settle the arguments (Gemini) resolving legal issues. Venus in a conjunction aspect with the Sun in Aries emphasizes the individual’s right to peace.  The Moon ingress to Virgo late in the day or early morning in the eastern hemisphere.

Friday March 26th — The Moon in Virgo is in quincunx aspects to Sun, Venus and Chiron by mid-day, prompting practical solutions. Measures that work in practice are more valuable than ideological theories. The Moon trine aspect to Uranus favors practical safety measures, a quincunx aspect to Saturn in Aquarius could conflict with organized power’s opposition to gun control.

Saturday March 27th — The Moon in Virgo in an opposition aspect to Mercury in Pisces early today, draws on the expression of unconscious fears and anxieties. Mercury is disposed of by Neptune in Pisces, and is approaching the conjunction aspect to Neptune. Appeals to emotional sensitivities could help resolve the impasse. The Moon makes a trine aspect to Pluto in Capricorn late in the day, allowing for resolutions that transform the legal debate.

A trine aspect from the Moon in Libra to Saturn in Aquarius, and then to Mars in Gemini, helps to adjust positions on the resolution, legislation restricting the right to own lethal firearms becomes close to imperative.

Monday March 29th — Morning in Washington, the Moon in Libra is quincunx aspect to the Mercury-Neptune conjunction in Pisces, with the power to legislate issues in a fair and balance manner, could become distorted. A trine aspect from the Moon to Jupiter could find easy advancement of the documents to ensure the rights of individuals to life in an imperfect and dangerous world.

Tuesday March 30thSun and Venus are sextile aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, while the Moon ingress to Scorpio early today, reaches the opposition aspect to Uranus in Scorpio a few hours later.
