This week the Moon in Leo makes conjunction aspects to Mercury and Venus in Leo, then Friday, the Moon reaches the conjunction aspect with Mars in Virgo. The Sun ingress to Leo on the 23rd, and Venus maintains the apex of a Yod formation, quincunx aspect to Neptune and Pluto, as Venus turns retrograde on the 24th to extend the influence of the Yod. Venus in Leo is disposed of by the Sun in Cancer, indicating care for young and for home. The two outer planets have a trans-personal indication, affecting an entire population. They are both retrograde this month, and in a sextile aspect to one another. Pluto in Capricorn is disposed of by Saturn retro in Pisces, ruled by Neptune, a final dispositor. Venus in Leo seems to draw Neptune and Pluto closer in aspect, consolidating power and authority. Venus on at the apex indicates a hope to disarm threats of nuclear proliferation, and the use of nuclear weapons. The Moon travels from Virgo to Scorpio on Wednesday the 26th of July. Controversies are heating up. A showdown in US political arena, as well as a watershed moment in the conflict in Ukraine, and in Israel’s political controversy over judicial reform judgments, can be anticipated.
Summary of major aspects of the week
Wednesday July 19th — Mercury in Leo is transited by the Moon early today (US time zones), expressing care for loved ones. Sun in Cancer approaches the trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces, with parental attempts to reign in dangerous influences on young children. Mars in Virgo approaches the opposition aspect to Saturn in Pisces, an aspect that increases over the next two days, as authorities seem to grab details in order to prosecute, although now there are limits to the ability to search personal effects, due to backlash complaints that may become recognized. Venus slows in transit, as it forms the apex of the Yod formation with Neptune retro and Pluto retro. There is an extended window of opportunity to refine proposals through diplomacy.

Venus in Leo
Thursday July 20th — The Moon transits Venus’ position in Leo early today (US time zones), afternoon in Europe and the ME, for a focus on the Yod [See image]. The trigger is the diplomatic intervention of Venus in Leo at the apex of the Yod. The Sun in Cancer is in a compatible trine aspect to Neptune giving extended sensitivity. Mars in Virgo makes the partile opposition aspect to Saturn in Pisces indicating a conflict without a resolution. Actions toward goals are blocked by external forces. The will to proceed is met with strong resistance. Venus, slowing to turn retrograde, indicates persistent work with the opposition, making adjustments that may meet with acceptance by the opponent. The Moon ingress to Virgo works on details, transits Mars overnight (US time zones). Not a good time to press for reform, unless it is necessary and urgent.
Friday July 21st — The Moon in Virgo makes a conjunction aspect with Mars midmorning in Europe and the ME, and in partile opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces. With this aspect, strengthened by the Moon triggering Mars, action to overcome an impasse is likely. As the conflict in Ukraine reaches a critical point, efforts to break the stalemate are likely. The Sun in Cancer approaches the opposition aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn, indicating international restraint. The lunar nodes, Rahu and Ketu are square aspect to Pluto and the Sun, for a fateful event (according to some Vedic astrologers, the square aspect to the nodes is significant, although it is well to remember that the nodes are headless planets). The Yod remains in effect, with Venus at the apex. With Venus tainted by Neptune and Pluto, cruelty could be used to advance agendas. Kindness and diplomacy may be rejected by opponents who have their own goals contrary to the diplomatic efforts. Venus in Leo represents the honest efforts to bring a resolution to the conflict. With the Sun the dispositor of Venus and in trine aspect to Neptune, the efforts could be dissolved and unproductive, or charmed.
Saturday July 22nd — The Sun is in partile opposition aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn early in the day, with Pluto representing a block to progress. The Moon is trine aspect to Uranus as a technicality is used to transform the scene, use of explosives is likely. The Sun ingress to Leo in the evening (US time zones; 01:52 UT), and the Moon in an opposition aspect to Neptune as empathy is invoked. The Moon ingress to Libra (05:55 UT) for a sextile aspect to the Sun, as rebound actions are implemented to compensate for damages. Venus turns retrograde, while maintaining the Yod formation, and square aspect to the lunar nodes (Rahu and Ketu). Adjustments are made to further a proposed settlement. Mars in Virgo begins to separate from the opposition aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces, as conflicts subside.
Sunday July 23rd — Mercury in Leo reaches the square aspect to Uranus in Taurus as harsh words are exchanged. The Moon in Libra disposed of by Venus, makes a quincunx aspect to Jupiter in Taurus, also disposed of by Libra. This aspect occurs overnight US time zones, and Monday morning in the ME. The diplomatic route to settlement remains the only viable option, and Venus at the apex of the Yod is persistent in reaffirming the proposals.
Monday July 24th — The Moon in Libra forms an opposition aspect to Chiron retro in Aries, as proposals gain traction. Venus, retro in Leo, remains at the apex of the Yod formation as the proposals remain firm. A quincunx aspect from the Moon to Uranus in Taurus indicates attempts made to amend the proposals by making adjustments and allowances that could undermine the purpose of the proposed peace initiative. Late in the day, the Moon sextile aspect to Mercury in Leo indicates clever manipulations.
Tuesday July 25th — Another fateful day, as the Moon in Libra makes aspects to Neptune in Pisces (quincunx aspect), Venus in Leo (sextile aspect), and Pluto in Capricorn (square aspect) when reaching a conjunction aspect with Ketu in Libra. The ability to contain a rebellion is the question as attempts to undermine the initiative proposals from a standpoint fearing to appear weak at an historical moment. Face saving measures may not be adequate. The Moon ingress to Scorpio makes a square aspect to the Sun in Leo, raising objections. The Moon makes a trine aspect to Saturn retro in Pisces late in the day (morning hours on Wednesday in the ME) when reserve resources become available. Venus retro in Leo maintains the Yod formation leaving prospects open for negotiation. Mercury approaches the conjunction aspect with Venus, bringing moral support.
