The Sun in Aries for the equinox kicks off the spring season. There are in all seven planets in cardinal signs, in fact in only two cardinal signs, Aries and Capricorn. This represents a powerful surge forward that is met with restriction and powerful moves at containment. Mars (aggressiveness), the ruler of Aries and therefore the dispositor of the four planets in Aries – the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Uranus – moves ahead in Capricorn to the inevitable meeting with Saturn (stability), the ruler of Capricorn. The two titular rulers will have it out by the end of March. Aggression and Control will collide. For now, the case is still building, although the rush to the finish pushes for implementation.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday March 21st – The Moon in Taurus today opposes (190 deg, tense) Jupiter retrograde in Scorpio, allowing a cornucopia of wealth at the spring blossom time. This could be spiritual or intellectual wealth, or profit from your last achievement. Mercury moves toward the conjunction with Venus in Aries, for inventiveness and speed. Innovation is at a peak. Investments are paying off. New sources of wealth are found as the Moon is also trine aspect (120 deg easy) to Pluto in Capricorn. A general feeling of camaraderie exists as we now seem to know where we are going. Jupiter quincunx the midpoint of Venus and Uranus arouses a joie-de-vivre of spring and the exceptional life awaiting. Mars in Capricorn is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the Sun as startling events occur that open the possibility of an abrupt change in power.
Thursday March 22nd – As the Moon moves into Gemini (mutable air) Jupiter retrograde approaches the sextile aspect (60 deg, working) with Pluto in Capricorn. Transforming power (Pluto) allows for the reformation (Jupiter) to begin. Venus in Aries approaching a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Pluto in Cap sacrifices the self to cultural progress. The lower level of desire can undergo the change for a higher ideal. The Moon in Gemini allows for flexibility in response. Mercury in Aries, the dispositor of the Moon, accepts new approaches and as it is disposed of by Mars, innovations are forcing change in the status quo (Saturn in Cap). Ceres turns direct in Leo, as the protection of children in the chaotic environment merits concern.
Friday March 23rd – The Moon in Gemini is in a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Venus and a quincunx aspect (150 deg, creative) to Pluto, as more adaptability is sought in traditional standards that apply to adaptations of Constitutional law. Mars in a quincunx aspect to Ceres in Leo brings the situation of children into the legal analysis of Constitutional rights. The Sun moves into a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) with Mars, igniting (Aries) conflict (square aspect) of personal power (Sun) and restrictions (Saturn). Mars is a goal oriented energy that aims to dominate in Capricorn. Achievement is everything to the unbridled Mars energy. The field of Capricorn and its ruler Saturn will slow and possibly terminate ambition. Caution is required. One example of this that occurred earlier this week, Uber, producer of the ultimate in robotic transportation, has a major setback after a pedestrian was killed by a test in its driverless car.
Saturday March 24th – The Moon moves into Cancer today, and in opposition to (180 deg, polarizing) Mars in Capricorn. The Sun in Aries stands at exactly the focal point of a T-square that is in square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to both Mars and the Moon. We as individuals (Sun) can feel crushed by the aggressiveness (Mars) and passivity (Moon) of the surrounding culture. Later in the day, the Moon moves into an opposition aspect to Saturn. This promotes confusion as we feel disregarded and abused by the systems we are a part of. We strive to maintain a balance as we experience sudden shifts in policy and standards we relate to. Venus in Aries is quincunx aspect (150 deg, creative) to Jupiter could symbolize the unexpected role of a creative (quincunx) compassionate (Scorpio) experience, of a gift or friendly encounter. Mercury turns retrograde for greater internalized thought. The Sun in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Ceres now is in support of promoting the rights of children.
Sunday March 25th – The Moon square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mercury seems to touch off a round of action, perhaps a reversal in policy or affiliation. Additional information or revelations results Mercury retrograde in Aries in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the Moon, as the Moon moves in Cancer to an opposition aspect (180 deg, harsh) to Pluto that result in a conversion of mindset. The trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Jupiter retro in Scorpio that follows unites and integrates experience with shared feelings in social groups. Jupiter progress increases the strength of the sextile aspect to Pluto as it moves in a retrograde (review) motion, forming large political support groups.
Monday March 26th – The Moon enters Leo early in the day, and meets up with Ceres while trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to the Sun in Aries. More agreement on the right to life for the innocent can be expected. However, the Sun is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mars in Capricorn so conflicts with the position of traditionalists are still to be expected. A harsh and limited view of reality is promoted.
Tuesday March 27th – The Moon transits Rahu in Leo and forms a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Mercury retrograde in Aires early in the day, as we review the past and start to see clearly where the future that is unfolding. Psychic perceptions inspire religious or creative inspiration as the Moon is in a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Neptune. By late evening or early morning (depending on location) the Moon is in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Venus and then joins Venus with Uranus for a visionary experience. The quincunx aspect to Pluto form the Moon precedes the Venus –Uranus aspect to prepare us for the unexpected. Disruption of sleep patterns should be expected. A stock market rally goes wild.
