The current sky planetary configuration in the zodiac continues with extended duration of the Uranus–Jupiter approaching opposition, with a square aspect from planets in Sagittarius, the US electoral process is extended with a recount underway. The possibility of an upset or reversal is real, as Uranus is the planet most associated with sudden reversals of fortune. In early February 2017, Jupiter turns retrograde again, to re-visit the opposition with Uranus. Stressful times on a global scale will continue.
Earthquake and Hurricane simultaneously in San Salvador and in Israel wildfires combined with strong winds force families from their homes are significant of forces combined in strength with simultaneous occurrence of natural forces leading to sudden change. The end of an era evoked by Fidel Castro’s death is another factor that points to a new era on the horizon. More than one indication, usually 3 or more will show in planetary charts leading up to a significant change or reversal in events. Mars in Aquarius is the dispositor of Uranus in Aries. Things are sure to get stirred up. However, what the eventual results will be is not conclusive at this point.
Summary of major aspects of the week:
Wednesday November 30th – After the New Moon late yesterday, it seems like a new political ballgame. With Saturn and Mercury in Sagittarius as well as the Sun and Moon, political speechmaking and jockeying is not over, post-election. Saturn is the dispositor of the two planets in Capricorn (Saturn rules Capricorn) Pluto and Venus. Mars in Aquarius is the dispositor of Uranus, so it seems it is still shoot-from-the –hip style of discourse for the many undisciplined egos. Venus in Capricorn has more concern about power struggle, role-making in authority, than the male counterpart (the Mars influence). Power could go to one’s head in many ways. Now that the honeymoon is over, the inner circle is showing its fault lines. The Moon trine aspect to Uranus and Ceres will help ignite an argument, even with friendly banter. Ceres can add a class distinction to the argument. There is extra weight to all claims and proposals. The weight of the social contract, that is not to forget the little guys, the people who brought officials to power, and the promises made. Differences of opinion can evolve through discourse.
Thursday December 1st – With the Moon now in Capricorn, defining status, as bringing more clarity becomes a priority. Mars approaches a sextile aspect (60 deg approaching aspect) to Saturn in Sag, so that working out details should be on the agenda today. With a concomitant trine to Jupiter, Mars (direct action) in Aquarius (with group support) has increased impact and authority. More innovative or non-traditional approaches are setup, could be appointments, team members, new administration actions are likely. Iconoclastic moves may also be initiated.
Friday December 2nd – The challenge to tradition continues, with the Moon conjunct to Pluto today, some backlash upsets a smooth transfer of power (Pluto and Venus and Moon in Capricorn – disposited by Saturn in Sag). Revelation of political alliances or uncovering of covert influences reaches a breaking point. Many people feel on edge or betrayed by leadership, not to mention in Aleppo. The long-range future becomes less secure. Reinforcing the importance of maintaining democratic standards in government as a framework is the positive outcome of the controversy. Strong democratic values (Mars in Aquarius) trine Jupiter in Libra (social media) oppose iconoclastic moves (Jupiter opposes Uranus). Mercury moves into Capricorn, finding a renewed base of operations.
Saturday December 3rd– The Moon in Capricorn today is conjunct to Venus and then exegesis to Aquarius. A calmer, more measured approach to problematic issues is the way for advancement. With Mercury joining Pluto, Venus and the Moon in Capricorn, there is a moderation of power, possible reversals of opinions or even a sense of inclusiveness in potential rulers, who could also be leaders in a democracy. The image of power (Pluto in Capricorn) undergoes a softening, a greater flexibility, or, and this is also possible, a breaking point (Uranus in Aries). More nurturing and understanding is required.
Sunday December 4th – The framers of the US Constitution gave room for the possibility that unsuitable men (as well as women, as she may now rise through the final glass ceiling) would gain office. There are measures and procedures to take in such a situation. If the constitutional procedures are invoked, that process may begin early. The Moon enters Aquarius, as enlightened views are now expressed. Timing (Saturn) is of great importance now. Capricorn is about the stability of the framework in state, social or family life, it is the sign best related to parental roles and the perceived role of parent, leaders and or government officials. Saturn is the ruler of the sign Capricorn, and its current transit of Sagittarius is pertinent to political issues, the power of elected office. Saturn is trine aspect to Uranus (drawing closer over the next two weeks), which could upset the legality of political figures. Mars is trine aspect to Jupiter, energizing the more advanced thought in social reform. Social media continues to have a role, but a declining role, as standards are set by professionals in health care and legal professions. Mars trine Jupiter is now a separating aspect, having less impact than over the past month.
Monday December 5th – The Moon conjunct Mars today shows that actions are taken and expressed through social media (Jupiter in Libra is involved with the trine aspect to Moon and Mars), working with more revolutionary actions (Mars and Moon sextile to Uranus in Aries). Mars and Uranus are in mutual reception, reinforcing the actions of one another, social activist (Mars in Aquarius and revolutionary (Uranus in Aries). Ceres is approaching a conjunction with Uranus– this seems to indicate that the greater social good (Ceres) is consistent with the goals of the revolutionary (Uranus).
Tuesday December 6th – The Moon is in Pisces today, conjunct the final dispositor Neptune, after a sextile meeting with Mercury. Mercury may make a decision from a high place of authority (Capricorn). Neptune activated could disperse gatherings, or dissemination of court orders (Saturn in Sagittarius). The first quarter lunar phase is reached late in the day or early morning on the 7th (US time zones). A crisis develops as the cycle continues to the Full Moon on December 13th. The Sun in Sagittarius, the powerful will, must heed the legal and constitutional issues as well as the opinions of social media. With his natal Moon in Sagittarius, the President Elect would be channeled through the legal institution (Pluto in Capricorn) and social media (Jupiter in Libra). In this way, he or she must conform to expectations of the role. Saturn in Sag is approaching the trine with Uranus in Aries, and thus, the iconoclastic nature of the President Elect will become known.
