Although there is no inherently evil in any one sign of the zodiac or degree of any sign, the 1st degree of the fixed –earth sign Taurus and the opposing degree in Scorpio seem to carry the most fateful events of all time. Not everyone responds to such a transit, even if natal planets are involved, in the same way. As Uranus retro at 0 deg Taurus, and Venus retro at the opposing degree in Scorpio, a trigger for powerful events, earthshaking events that shape the future are likely to again strike this week. Uranus has hovered over the 0 degree of Taurus for weeks in a retrograde phase and in May of this year (the second half of May) in the forward phase, and will barely move off until November 6th of this year. It was also the degree of the Sun in Adolf Hitler’s birth chart. Venus retro at the opposing degree was the trigger for the attack at the Tree of Life Synagogue, and as Venus transit continues for another day or two in the opposition aspect, more upsetting incidents are likely. The news that a plane went down in Indonesia is another example, along with the helicopter crash in Leicester, UK. It certainly looks like a busy and eventful week ahead.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday October 31st – Today, as Venus retro in opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Uranus in Taurus reaches partile early in morning or overnight, depending on your location. While this is a bit ominous, the strength of the influence should by less by evening when the kids go out for Trick or Treat. The Moon ingress to Leo is conjunct the north lunar node (Rahu) with an attempt to balance the opposition. This may trigger more fateful events worldwide. It may be just too spooky to venture out. Mercury moves into Sagittarius for political attitudes expressed prior to the 3rd quarter Moon phase, a crisis in dissemination could help resolve the issues. What treats are given this Halloween? Would it be better to stay home or attend a private party instead?
Thursday November 1st– Venus retro slowly moves past the exact degree (partile) to the opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) with Uranus, and returns to Libra for the month of November. Venus is a planet that represents relationships, especially for a woman, and how they affect her psychologically. In either male or female, the energy can be “corrupted”. This is often indicated by harsh contact with trans-Saturn planets, that is those three major planets that lie beyond the orbital plane of Saturn. With the opposition to Uranus this past week, Venus triggered Uranus with the resulting incidents of chaos. There could be psychiatric incidents of a more benign nature as well. Retrograde plants tend to internalize and therefore activate psychotic problems. Jupiter in Scorpio is in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Chiron retro in Pisces to enhance our ability to gain wisdom through meditation. Connection in a beneficial way, feel who we are, and overcome past trauma, emotional and spiritual healing. Venus in a close semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, aware) to Mercury in Sag, reminds us to be cognizant of balance an integrity in speech and action. The Moon quincunx (150 deg, complex) aspect to Pluto in Capricorn connects us to primordial sources followed by the quincunx aspect to Chiron in Pisces for cultural identity. Ideals may be realigned.
Friday November 2nd – The Moon at the final degree of Leo is in a sextile (60 deg, friendly) aspect to Venus retro at 29 deg Libra, gives honor to and extolls beauty and balance, although followed by a trine aspect to Uranus retro at the ingress to Virgo. This could be shocking as well as enlightening. A square aspect (90 deg, harsh) from the Moon to Mercury in Sagittarius follows, as practical considerations reflect in political speech. The Moon trine to Saturn in Capricorn as the individual status, traditional or revolutionary is reflected. Uranus has an impact as well as Saturn in the choice of a future path as we struggle for peace and unity. The Moon in Virgo represents everyman, the average person, holding the choice in this configuration. The overall type of planetary arrangement is a basket with the handle (the Moon) on one side of the zodiac.
Saturday October 3rd – The Moon in a sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to the Sun early in the day, for increased optimism, followed by an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Neptune, as a degree of denial sets in. A trine aspect (120 deg, easy) from the Moon to Pluto in Cap, two earth signs, allows for greater solidarity. Jupiter in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Chiron in Pisces, expands the emotional healing that is needed. A semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, aware) between Venus retro and Jupiter is a last-minute alliance with Venus also in a quincunx (150 deg, complex) aspect to Chiron. A coalition cobbled together may be only to temporary advantage.
Sunday October 4th – The Moon ingress Libra today with a quincunx (150 deg, complex) aspect to Uranus, as acceptance of the radical gains may be mitigated. Ecological issues (Taurus) are balanced with overall issues of security and economic growth (Saturn in Capricorn). The Moon is sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Mercury and square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn, as expression of opinion (Moon) is weighed (Libra) in political identity (Mercury in Sag), and Saturn in Cap denotes the organized power.
Monday October 5th – The Moon in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Pluto in Capricorn indicates pressure for achievement is mounting, while and trine from the Sun in Scorpio to Neptune in Pisces dissipates through possible negligence or intoxication (Neptune in Pisces). The Moon’s trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Mars in Aquarius later in the day, honor of freedom and personal rights, on the eve of a crucial election day.
Tuesday October 6th – The Moon enters Scorpio in opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Uranus in Taurus, initiating the day with a revolutionary fervor. The Moon is then sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Saturn as procedural processes are carried out without interference. The hours before the New Moon (before dawn on Wednesday) is the seeding phase for the new cycle. The issues of the past month are reviewed and new initiatives are planned. A universal participation increases the power of the configurations to bring about a more just social and political leadership (Saturn in Capricorn).
