A Cauldron Serves Sun in Gemini — May 18-25 2022

Overview

The Moon transits from the ingress to Capricorn on Wednesday the 18th to Aries on Wednesday the 25th as a part of a stellium in Aries. The Sun ingress to Gemini on the 21st GMT 1:24. The planets are aligned in a bowl pattern, from Pluto in Capricorn to the Sun in early Gemini. The stellium in Aries and the bowl pattern resonate with the cauldron reading of the I Ching. The hexagram Ting: Nothing transforms so much as the Ting (the Cauldron), which suggests the idea of preparing food. The week unfolds as the Moon travels through the signs Capricorn – Pisces, the universal signs, and then to new beginnings with the stellium in Aries.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday May 18thCeres, a dwarf planet, is in Cancer, and in an opposition aspect to the Moon, at the Moon ingress to Capricorn early today, US time zones, afternoon in Europe and the Middle-East locations, later in the day in the Far East and Australia. Organizational skills are important for Capricorn, the cardinal earth sign, useful in preserving land and ownership in view of a future generation with the opposition aspect to Ceres, as food itself may become scarce. Mars in Pisces superseding Neptune, seeks to be free from the situation of dissolution, the sorrow and pain that we have confronted. The Moon in in a square aspect to Jupiter in Aries, while in an opposition aspect to Ceres, making a T-square configuration. Jupiter amplifies the conflict of power and generational ambitions. Mars the dispositor of Jupiter, Venus and Chiron in Aries, pulls ahead of Neptune, disentangling from the quagmire by forceful ambitions.

Mercury retro in Gemini is in a sextile aspect to Jupiter in Aries, revising planned actions while promoting initiative. The Moon transits to the square aspect with Venus in Aries, and so aggressive voices are speaking out against planned powers of limitation. The Moon is sextile aspect to Neptune/Mars in Pisces and semisextile aspect to Saturn in Aquarius. Sun ingress Gemini
May 20-21 2022

Friday May 20th — The Moon is trine aspect to the Sun in the final degree of Taurus and also trine aspect to Mercury retro in Gemini. This can help provide personal insight enabling psychological adjustments. Jupiter in Aries is sextile aspect to the Sun/Mercury conjunction aspect and sextile aspect to the Moon. Advancements can be made now, while plans are implemented. The Sun ingress to Gemini overnight and in a conjunction aspect with Mercury retro. Reflection on strategy of the past precedes a change of attitudes that could be comprehensive, thereby resulting in a psychological awakening. A reversal in government policy is likely as a result of intelligence (Moon in Aquarius).  The Moon conjunction aspect with Saturn in Aquarius as a coalition of forces is unified.

Saturday May 21st — The Moon in Aquarius is square aspect to Uranus in Taurus, and sextile aspect to Chrion in Aries. Chiron is semi-sextile aspect to Uranus. Caution needs to be applied when responding to aggressive opponents.  Mars in Pisces transits beyond the conjunction aspect with Neptune, although Neptune is its dispositor, Mars is no longer entrenched in a Neptunian dystopia.  Therefore, there is a greater possibility goals may be achieved. Mars is doubly approaching the sextile aspect to Pluto in Cap, an indication that international law (Pluto in Cap) is empowered. As Mars transits toward Aries in the coming days, goals (both for and against) will certainly become more focused and energized. Mars’ ingress to Aries is on May 24th (25th in the eastern hemisphere).  The Sun and Mercury retro in Gemini reach a partile conjunction in the afternoon (US time). As the Sun supersedes Mercury retro, and sextile aspect to Jupiter in Aries, as actions follow thought and words, claims may now be activated. The Moon transits the conjunction aspect with Saturn, as alliances are increased.

Sunday May 22nd — The Moon ingress to Pisces, forming square aspects to Mercury and the Sun in Gemini, at the 3rd quarter Moon phase, and a crisis in dissemination. Mars in Pisces doubly approaching the sextile aspect to Pluto in Cap, as pressure on Putin increase from the international alliance opposed to Putin’s Ukraine campaign. Aggressive actions (Mars) take the air out of his rhetoric (Mercury and Sun in Gemini). The Moon trine aspect to Ceres in Cancer involves the emotional response of a generation, and aid for children in conflict zones. Incremental pressure is applied to power centers. Venus in Aries approaches the sextile aspect to Saturn in Aquarius and semi-sextile aspect to Neptune in Pisces, possibly opening a way for a negotiated cease-fire.

Monday May 23rd — The Moon in Pisces is sextile aspect to Uranus in Taurus, and semi-sextile aspect to Chiron in Aries, with Mercury retro ingress to Taurus.  The Sun in Gemini is sextile aspect to Jupiter in Aries, as new resources empower leaders to advance their objectives (Taurus).  Mars in Pisces is sextile aspect to Mercury retro in Taurus, as objectives reach their conclusion, and the Moon transits to a conjunction aspect to Neptune overnight in US time zones, morning hours on Tuesday in Europe and points eastward, as illusions and dis-information are exposed.

Tuesday May 24th — The Moon in Pisces makes a conjunction aspect to Mars, and then at the ingress to Aries, and a conjunction aspect with Jupiter. Venus in Aries voices the will of the community, sextile aspect to Saturn in Aquarius and semi-sextile aspect to Neptune in Pisces. The question is, will the adversary hear? Mercury retro in Taurus approaches the trine aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. While the powerful entities may be crippled, reduced in power, they may not respond to the offer.

Have an productive week.

Reminder: While lunar aspects are in effect only for only a few hours, the aspect of the outer planets can last days and weeks. I post a reading for a day in advance in order to give a preview, and also because the aspects may be in effect a day earlier.

Return of the Feudal Mentality — May 11-18 2022

Overview

The full Moon on Monday May 16th, is also an eclipse of the Moon, so it could have an increased importance, and a sense of a sudden reversal, not only on this day, but for the entire soli-lunar cycle. The Moon in Scorpio opposition aspect to the Sun in Taurus relates to issues of fertility and reproduction.  Parental rights could be associated with Saturn in Aquarius. Pluto in Capricorn represents the political and legal powers of the state.  With flawed reasoning, the state assumes the rights of the individual parent. In a feudal system, the feudal owner of the land, had total power over the individual as owner of the land and of the surfs. It is regression of authority to assume power over reproductive rights.  It has not been relegated to the state in Biblical texts. It is remnant of feudal law that the state persists in punishing women, when the power rightfully rests with the parents. In the case of unmarried women, the power of reproductive decisions rests in her hands, and when she seeks medical intervention, on the advice of her medical team. Saturn in Aquarius is at the focal point of the Sun/Moon opposition, as limitations are proposed and, in some cases implemented, impeding parental rights, and putting a focus on reproductive rights. Saturn is the dispositor of Pluto retro in Capricorn, the feudal mentality, and represents the controls put in place when authorized.

Summary of Major Aspect of the Week

Wednesday May 11th — The Moon in Virgo makes a trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus early in the day, early morning hours in the Middle-East and Europe, late night on Tuesday in the US. This aspect corresponds to a flowing relationship, so that personal efforts will be rewarded. Only a few hours later, the Moon is in an opposition aspect to Mars in Pisces, and Mars is in a sextile aspect to the Sun in Taurus. Even as evacuations (Uranus), continue in Ukraine civilians remain under the threat of bombardment (Mars). Saturn, in a semi-sextile aspect to Neptune in Pisces, seeks to put limits on evacuations and mass protests (Neptune). The lack of control over mass protests becomes obvious, with the Moon in an opposition aspect to Neptune in the afternoon, and a quincunx aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, as efforts to restore peace with rationalizations is quite futile. The Moon makes a trine aspect to Pluto late in the day, as the demonstrations become more powerful and confrontations could be deadly.

Thursday May 12th — The Moon ingress to Libra early today seeks balance with Jupiter in Aries in an opposition aspect with the Moon. The Moon is then in a trine aspect to Mercury retro in Gemini, bringing Mercury also into aspect with Jupiter, a doubly approaching sextile aspect. Musical creativity is one possible indication, as a protest movement gets underway. The Sun in Taurus closely aspects Rahu, and makes a sextile aspect to Mars/Neptune in Pisces, offering a breakthrough for new talent.  The Moon is in an opposition aspect to Venus in Aires, in the evening Pacific Time Zone, a draw that could be explosive on Social Media.

Friday May 13th — The Moon in Libra makes the quincunx aspect to Uranus early in the day, marking the day with unexpected events, reversals, etc. The Sun is in a sextile aspect to the midpoint of Mars/Neptune, so that the conjunction aspect is drawn into effect, with a sextile aspect to the Sun in Taurus.  The Moon then transits to a quincunx aspect to the Sun, and also to Mars/Neptune, for a Yod formation, late in the day US time, after midnight on Saturday morning in Europe and the Middle-East. The Yod is primarily indicated for an effective musical production with Neptune involved, and very purposeful with Mars combined with Neptune.

Saturday May 14th — The Moon makes a square aspect to Pluto prior to its ingress to Scorpio early in the day, with a quincunx aspect to Jupiter in Aries. Fame or heroism coincides with the creative signatures, as a culture hero(es) emerges(-s). The Sun in Taurus sextile aspect to Neptune denotes the idolization or hero worship that results. This is probably not Putin, although he may have his fans in Russia, even though he has a stellium in Libra and Venus in Scorpio in his natal chart, more likely an antithesis. Venus in a conjunction aspect with Chiron in Aries, disposed of by Mars, expresses the inner truth of the recent events.

Sunday May 15th — The Moon in Scorpio reaches the opposition aspect to Uranus in Taurus, as revelations continue, and the story unravels as the quincunx aspect to Venus/Chiron probes the mysteries. The Sun in Taurus is in a challenging partile square aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, and sextile aspect to Neptune in Pisces, seeking to erode authority and the limitations placed on sheeples, by denouncing and protesting in the majority.

Full Moon Eclipse
May 15-16 2022

Monday May 16th — The Full Moon [see image] aspect occurs at 9:14 pm on the US West Coast, and just after midnight EDT, and after 6 AM in Europe and 7 AM in Ukraine and Russia. Saturn in Aquarius stands at the focal point, symbolizing the moderator, square aspect to the Moon in Scorpio and square aspect to the Sun in Taurus. The middle ground is difficult to hold in a T-square configuration. Legal implications are clear with Saturn in this position. Some indictments may be issued in order to hold the peace. The Moon is trine aspect to Neptune and Mars in Pisces, while Ceres is square aspect to Jupiter. We love the music, but regret the courts proposed rulings. The Moon ingress to Sagittarius by mid-morning, afternoon in Europe and points eastward, forming an opposition aspect to Mercury retro in Gemini, as reflections on the past are made to determine the future plan. The Moon in a philosophical guise, conflicts with Jupiter in Aries, the awakening social order.

Tuesday May 17th — The Moon in Sagittarius makes a trine aspect to Chiron in Aries followed by a trine aspect to Venus in Aries, justifying legal rulings with precedent. The Moon is quincunx aspect to Uranus in Taurus as market values are re-assessed. Mars in Pisces supersedes Neptune. As the dispositor of Jupiter, Mars represents legal rulings that bring a forceful end to a refugee crisis, or a potential end to an era of mass poverty and homelessness.

I hope you have an interesting week. Thanks for reading my assessments of the configurations in the sky.

Jupiter Transits a Controversy — May 4-11 2022

Overview

Venus transits the first decan of Aries this week, as Mercury in Gemini slows and turns retro on the 10th the day Jupiter ingress to Aries. The Sun in Taurus meets turbulent Uranus this Wednesday, as Mars in Pisces is aggressively sextile to the pair in Taurus. Upsetting precedent unleashes the power of individual vs. collective forces makes May 4th a significant day in history. Mars makes the sectile aspect to the Sun on Saturday the 7th-8th of May.  The Moon in Cancer opposition aspect to Pluto on the 7th then in the 9th of May in Leo makes an opposition to Saturn. The Moon is in Virgo on Tuesday, and an opposition aspect to Mars in Pisces, and then the Jupiter ingress to Aries. A widespread backlash is inevitable. On Wednesday the 11th, The Moon in Virgo is trine aspect to the Sun and opposition aspect to Neptune in Pisces, before the trine aspect to Pluto in Capricorn indicating objections over-ruled.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

May 4, 2022
Sun/Uranus Conjunciton

Wednesday May 4th — The Sun and Uranus in Taurus, a sign of fertility, awakens the powers of the individual versus the collective concerning reproduction rights, as values are subject to a conflicting sense of personal power and reversing of precedent. The reversal is a reformist movement, although reverting to a past traditional status, that is a controlling influence with Saturn in Aquarius, trine aspect to Moon and Ceres in Gemini. Ceres is the goddess of fertility, prolific in Gemini while in the conjunction aspect with the Moon, the feminine power. Saturn, the limiting force in Aquarius, places control on fertility and reproduction health as a future goal.  Mars in Pisces is sextile aspect to Sun and Uranus, as a dissolution is in process.  Meanwhile, the destruction (Uranus) and theft of land and valuables (Taurus) and personal life and property continues in Ukraine.

Thursday May 5th — The Moon in Cancer is trine aspect to Mars in Pisces, activating dissention and protecting the Homefront, as the Sun supersedes Uranus in Taurus. Mars sextile aspect to the Sun, and Venus in Aries is sextile aspect to Mercury in Gemini provide for lively discussions, passionate and unforgiving. Jupiter in Pisces is sextile aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn, undermining social progress.

Friday May 6th — The Moon is in a quincunx aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, prior to its opposition aspect with Pluto retro in Capricorn. The lack of understanding of regressive actions creates a climate of disbelief. Discussions on compromises seek to withdraw or modify the regressions, as Mercury in Gemini sextile aspect to Venus in Aries suggest possible actions, while Sun in Taurus sextile aspect to Mars in Pisces contends a dismissal, thus rectifying proposed reversals is in order.

Saturday May 7th — The Moon ingress to Leo makes a trine aspect to Venus in Aries followed by a sextile aspect to Mercury in Gemini, as discussions become dramatic. Governments and institutions cull the populations, justifying murder with law and authority, claiming armies are needed to defend freedom, and incarcerating minorities in disproportionate numbers. The semi-sextile between Saturn in Aquarius and Neptune in Pisces evidence of conflicting social programing.

Sunday May 8th — The Moon in Leo makes a square aspect to Uranus in Taurus, and a trine aspect to Chiron in Aries, as Chrion and Uranus are in a semi-sextile aspect, the wisdom of regressive policies is in question. Rebellion could undermine authority, as the Moon is quincunx aspect to Mars in Pisces and square aspect to Uranus in Taurus. Chiron and Uranus are semi-sextile aspect, as is Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn. Ceres in Gemini is quincunx aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn, with a generational disconnect.

Monday May 9th — The Moon in Leo is in opposition aspect to Saturn in Aquarius, as disputes about whether the control of population planning rightfully belongs in the hands of authority or of the individual, with the Moon quincunx aspect to Neptune in Pisces. The Sun in Taurus remains in a sextile aspect to Mars in Pisces, as values and freedoms collide, or compliment.  The discussions are endless.

Tuesday May 10th — The Moon in Virgo is square aspect to Mercury in Gemini as practical solutions are sought. The Moon transits to the quincunx aspect to Venus in Aries, reflecting discontent. Virgo espouses workers rights. Health is a fundamental right and in this conflict that right is in jeopardy. Oppression is felt when the collective restricts humanitarian rights. Jupiter ingress to Aries is significant for empowering the individual. Mercury turns retrograde as recent claims are reviewed. Corrections and explanations are made to clarify statements. Some defections might be achieved.

Have an interesting week.

Reminder: While lunar aspects are in effect only for only a few hours, the aspect of the outer planets can last days and weeks. I post a reading for a day in advance in order to give a preview, and also because the aspects may be in effect a day earlier.

Solar Eclipse with Uranus Reversals — April 27-May 4 2022

Overview

The Moon in Pisces is sextile to Mercury and sextile aspect to Pluto, as the transit over the stellium planets in Pisces reaches a conclusion on Wednesday. All planets are within this trine segment of the ecliptic. The New Moon on Friday is a partial solar eclipse. A review of the situation, be it in Ukraine or elsewhere, could mean a groundbreaking event, that results in a rather unexpected reversal. Pluto changes apparent motion, tuning retrograde. The events have been the undercurrent for several weeks. Now the direction becomes more obvious. Alliances could be made or broken at this time. Practical decisions (earth sign Taurus) designed to be money saving could alter the course of the future. Venus and Jupiter in Pisces are partile conjunction at the New Moon. This is a signal that humanitarian efforts are initiated. The conjunction is square aspect to V. Putin’s natal Mars in Sagittarius. He may be forced to enact the humanitarian gesture, and it may be only a gesture. His natal Venus is in opposition aspect to the New Moon, as he is under pressure to reform, as transiting Mars is trine aspect to his natal Venus, he may then send attacks at the same time as he announced the humanitarian corridor. The Moon’s transit of Uranus in Taurus follows on May 1st, reversing reversals. Venus’ ingress to Aries occurs on Monday May 2nd, with a more tangible expression of care. The Sun/Uranus conjunction on Wednesday the 4th of May is another signal of a dramatic change underway. This reversal on the economic front has profound effects.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday April 27th — Mercury in Taurus is trine aspect to Pluto in Capricorn today, as the Moon in Pisces is in a conjunction aspect to Jupiter, the pair is sextile aspect to both Mercury and Pluto. There is a strong will for justice, transmitted to the staunchest of power centers. Venus makes a conjunction aspect with Neptune in Pisces, a sensitive position, with results that are sometimes perverted. On the positive side, you could find redeeming characteristics in your partner, or in yourself! Also, it’s a good time to refine your intuitive instincts, increase empathy and give generously to charity. Saturn is in an applying semi-sextile aspect to Venus and Neptune, helping to refine or particularize instinctive awareness, with self-discovery.

Thursday April 28th — The Moon in Aries makes a semisextile aspect to Mars, its depositor, in Pisces. Because Mars is the ruler of Aries, the semi-sextile contact is as strong as a conjunction aspect, although passing in a short time, invigorates the Moon with a stronger incentive for goal achievement. Mercury and Pluto remain in a tight (strong) trine aspect for the day, with Jupiter sextile aspect to both Mercury and Pluto, bringing the dialogue into a stronger focus. Peace talks between Russia and Ukraine could become more urgent. There is a more serious effort on the part of the participants to bring a closure to the war. The Moon transits Chiron in Aries, adding some deeper efforts to clarify positions and possible outcomes.

Friday April 29th — The Moon in Aries is in a sextile aspect to Saturn in Aquarius early today, afternoon in Europe and the Middle-East, Russia and Ukraine, and semi-sextile aspect to Neptune, as the contradictory forces are conflicting and relating in the semi-sextile aspectSaturn may limit the expression of expansion, although forcefully, as the conflict continues, as Venus approaches the conjunction aspect with Jupiter in Pisces. The Sun in Taurus approaches the sextile aspect with Mars in Pisces, as the destruction of a nation fuels a hope for renewal. Mercury ingress to Gemini brings more active discussion of possible solutions, even as Mercury leads the way for diplomatic progress.

New Moon Eclipse April 30, 2022

Saturday April 30th — The New Moon in Pisces becomes partile late in the day, close to midnight in Europe, Ukraine and Russia, while late in the afternoon in the US. This could coincide with a dramatic change in the conflict as it affects the world, the economy, peace and livelihoods, as well as human existence in a war-torn nation. The two planets associated with compatible relations, Venus and Jupiter, are combined in the conjunction aspect in Pisces, with a maximum sense of compassion, hope and good fortune implied, at the New Moon, a partial solar eclipse, indicates a reversal in fortunes. Ceres in Gemini is square aspect to Neptune and trine aspect to Saturn, as the agricultural season opens, with a hope for resurrection. Pluto is sextile aspect to Jupiter/Venus pair, as a face-saving option presents itself.

Sunday May 1st — The Moon in Taurus makes a conjunction aspect with Uranus, early today, pre-dawn in the US. There is an awakening associated with this conjunction that carries the effect of the New Moon eclipse, as events reverberate and escalate. Venus’ sextile aspect to Pluto could have a taming effect, although deception is another possibility. The Moon in a conjunction aspect with Rahu in Taurus builds on successes, although the sextile aspect to Neptune and square aspect to Saturn could then be a reality test. Ambitions to control the world’s information platform or increased land or virtual property must have a downside.

Monday May 2nd — The Moon in Taurus is trine aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn early today, then makes the ingress to Gemini, and a conjunction aspect with Mercury. While a social virtual platform is transferred, the question remains whether the key to success transferred as well. The Moon makes a sextile aspect to Jupiter and Venus in Pisces as it transits into Gemini, and Venus transits ingress to Aries.  Mars in Pisces is sextile aspect to Uranus and Sun in Taurus, indicating that gains may be reversed.

Tuesday May 3rd — Mars in Pisces is sextile aspect to the Sun and Uranus in Taurus, while the Moon in Gemini makes a square aspect to MarsMercury is the dispositor of the Moon and itself in Gemini, while Venus in Aries is the dispositor of the Sun and Uranus, and Venus approaches the sextile aspect with Mercury.  Quick thinking and rapid communication highlight a day of technical advances, possibly diplomatic advances as well.

Have a good day, and thanks for reading this astrological view.

Reminder: While lunar aspects are in effect only for only a few hours, the aspect of the outer planets can last days and weeks. I post a reading for a day in advance in order to give a preview, and also because the aspects may be in effect a day earlier.
