Rescue awaits Reunion at the New Moon  – Week of July 4-10 2018

The movement to overturn government policy is underway with Mercury in Cancer in an opposition aspect to Mars in Aquarius. The Moon in Pisces is sextile aspect to Pluto in Capricorn and quincunx aspect to Venus in Leo. The push for the recognition of universal human rights with the crisis on hand as the motivator, continues to involve emotional responses from a magnitude of individuals, even converging various culture groups in a plea for government reform. The future existence of oppressive government policies is on the decline. Ceres in Virgo (protector of children) is trine to Uranus in Taurus this week.  Saturn retrograde in Capricorn slowly reverts to the point of a trine aspect to Uranus in early August, when it reaches its station and reverts to a direct motion. The life of a movement gains power over oppressive government rule. Democracy is, after all, a government form of rule by the people it serves. An intense and riveting week awaits us! Finally, the New Moon in Cancer on Thursday, a week away.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday July 4th – On this day, when we celebrate the birth of the US as a nation and democracy as a system of government, the meaning of grass roots movement to reform governments around the world, gives more profundity to the day. Only by maintain a flexible rule responsive to the will of the majority and the changing needs of the world, will the government survive.  The Sun in Cancer is in a close trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Jupiter in Scorpio, for intense congregation of emotional togetherness, as families and communities around the world celebrate. Neptune is in a wide trine aspect to Jupiter and the Sun, for a more expansive universal recognition of the day. The power to transform the world is that of universal understanding. Mercury in Leo is in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tension) to Mars in Aquarius builds hope through progressive action.

Thursday July 5th – The Moon ingress to Aries awakens latent energy for new initiatives. A challenging square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn in Capricorn gives a push for changing the rules of standard operations. Saturn continues retrograde as reforms seek to repair harm inflicted by institutional (Capricorn) laws (Saturn).  The Sun trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Jupiter in Scorpio increases the power with a grand-trine to Neptune in Pisces. Community actions for reform (Neptune) involve accommodating the homeless in the midst of the nation and world-wide.  The Moon transits in Aries to a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) with Mercury in Leo and sextile (60 deg, helpful) to Mars retro in Aquarius before the 3rd quarter Moon phase, with the Moon square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the Sun in Cancer before midnight (US times).

Third Quarter Moon
July 6, 2018

Friday July 6th – The crisis in resolution of the issues is reached at the 3rd quarter Moon. The grand-trine (any three planets in 120 deg angles from one another) in water signs is prominent at the 3rd quarter Moon, as Mercury in Cancer is closer to the exact trine aspect with Neptune in Pisces.  A second grand-trine, this in earth signs also forms with Ceres trine aspect to Uranus trine to Saturn retro in Capricorn, also trine aspect to Ceres. [Please refer to the image above] This gives a notable symbol for universal values. As the day proceeds, the Moon forms a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Pluto for a wide T-square configuration with Pluto opposing (180 deg, tension) Sun in Cancer. While the T-square attempts to hold steady, the grandtrines are sharing physical and emotional information at a rapid pace.  The Moon is the dispositor of the Sun, and in Aries, a fire sign, is volatile and changeable, so that the T-square becomes fluid as well. Rapid change in action and unpredictable outcome of the whirlwinds of war and peace engulf the world.

Saturday July 7th – The Moon in Taurus today is in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Uranus, the planet associated with reversals and change of a diametrically opposed status. The two grand trines in yin signs, water and earth, are persisting. Although the yin signs are yielding, the force of the combined trine configurations is overwhelming the yang powers of governing entities (Saturn and Pluto retro in Capricorn). The Yang is forced to retreat. For Yin is not the creative energy, but adheres to values for humanity. The Moon reinforces the grand-trine in earth as it transits beyond Uranus trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Ceres and then forms a trine aspect to Saturn. The forces of nature (yin, earth and water signs) continue to erode the force of structural power centers (Yangair and fire signs). Indeed, Mars, Pluto and Saturn in yang signs are all in retrograde phase, as though in retreat.  Jupiter is in the water sign Scorpio, therefore yin, and stationary preparing to turn direct motion again, as though propelled by the winds of time. This is reminiscent of the 23rd hexagram of Po (Chinese Book of Changes) which is called Splitting Apart.

Sunday July 8th – The Moon in Taurus is in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tension) to Jupiter in Scorpio, and both the Moon and Jupiter are in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mercury in Leo, to form a Tsquare configuration. It is this opposition that integrates the two Yin grand-trine formations, earth and water signs as the Moon transits through Taurus, connecting to the earth grandtrine and then in opposition aspect to JupiterVenus at 28 deg Leo forms an out-of-sign (OOS) trine aspect (120 deg, easy) with the earth signs to complete the grandtrine in earth. The potential is also for a grand-cross formation connecting the fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, a mystical combination. Almost everyone would be energized by one or more of these configurations. The grandtrines give ease of powering emotional and/or physical actions, thus being in the flow, whereas the T-square or grandcross would be a tendency to hold ground. The dwarf planet Ceres at 4 deg Virgo today, is in a trine aspect to Uranus at 2 deg Taurus (earth signs) and trine aspect to Saturn and 5 deg Capricorn. Of course Saturn is also trine aspect to Uranus. This was energized by the Moon transit on Saturday conjunction aspect with Uranus. Now the Moon moves to form a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) with Mars in Aquarius then also square aspect to Mercury in Leo. Mars retro could trigger strong and possible violent reactions, while the Mercury and Jupiter contacts would be more composed.  Mercury in Leo is more benign and as a creative sign and a good communicator. Mercury could indicate a dramatic production or even dramatic press reports that tend to and add a calming factor into the day’s rapidly changing atmosphere. The Sun in Cancer is in a trine aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces dissolving and remolding as families that were displaced and now reunited. Jupiter is stationary as it prepares to return to direct motion on Wednesday.

Monday July 9th – The Moon today forms a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Venus at 29 deg Leo, for heightened emotional drama before ingress to Gemini before noon US time zones. Ceres in Virgo moves closer to the trine aspect (120 deg, easy) with Saturn in Cap, as greater protection is finally established for children who were held in detention. In the afternoon hours, the Moon in Gemini makes a sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Chiron in Aries, as lessons are learned from mistakes made. Uranus semisextile to both the Moon and Chiron adds a sense of universality to the historical events. The Moon in Gemini trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Mars in Aquarius (air signsyang) late in the day, as the sharing of experiences become part of the healing process.

Tuesday July 10thSaturn retro in Capricorn is trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Ceres in Virgo as they doubly approach a partile deg, and a measure of personal control is reassumed. Mercury in Leo is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Jupiter in Scorpio, as emotions are intensely expressed. The Moon is quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Jupiter in Scorpio, as sensitivity is required for media and interested public. Venus ingress to Virgo as it will form trine aspects to Uranus and Saturn in the next few days. The new grand-trine in earth signs (yin) will be intense and cool at the same time.

Pretense and Chaos at the Full Moon – June 27 – July 3 2018

The night of June 27th is the Full Moon, visible in the US before midnight, early morning on the 28th in Europe and the Eastern hemisphere. The crisis of the 1st quarter Moon comes into full bloom. The immigration issue, that DJT used to try to force Congress to act, has reached a stage of passionate display. As Trump considers himself to be in control of the world, he now has tried to banish the issue entirely. Should he care? Under a guise of innocence he blames Congress. His role has been to instill confusion in the basic unit of humanity, the primary family. So this Full Moon is about parental control and responsibility with the Sun in Cancer (the sign ruled by the Moon) and the Moon in Capricorn with Saturn (the ruler of Capricorn) conjunct the Moon. Saturn is the planet of restrictions and control. Through the arms of the government, Trump has imposed chaos on immigrant families and social programs entrusted with their care and processing. The government has taken over the role of parents for the thousands of children separated and placed in detention units over the country. This has reached the ultimate conclusion of his policies. His ability to govern the nation is in question. The very disturbing family separation policy has ended, however even more limiting rules are implemented. While forced to retract he uses pretence as a skill.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Full Moon
June 28 2018

Wednesday June 27th – The focus is on organization and structure (Saturn in Capricorn) with the Moon conjunct 90 deg, combining) to Saturn at the Full Moon. The reorganization of political or business administration would also be in keeping with this Full Moon and the entire present soli-lunar cycle. Thoughts for the future must be kept in mind and for the changing needs of the social structure and individuals involved. Mars in Aquarius goes retrograde today, as past action is reviewed in the light of changing structural features (Saturn). Mars will be retrograde for the next two months, while Neptune remains retrograde for 5 months. We have a chance to rethink our goals (Mars) and group involvement (Neptune). While Neptune may be slowly transforming our culture and our world, our participation can have a positive effect. The Moon is in a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Mercury (cognitive action) early today, and ingress to Capricorn at 3:54 pm GMT (morning hours US times) to approach conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Saturn and opposition (180 deg, tension) to the Sun before midnight (US times) [see chart above].

Thursday June 28th – The Moon transiting Capricorn is disposed of by Saturn (the ruler of Capricorn), could then be a modifying effect on the restrictive laws and Presidential powers. As the Moon is in opposition (180 deg, tense) to Donald Trump’s natal Mercury, he may feel compelled to act, and also cause his opponents (Saturn in Capricorn) act against his decisions. The Moon is semi-sextile to Mars retrograde in Aquarius, as some are spurned to action, perhaps through group loyalty or personal sense of injured pride. The Moon then is in a sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Jupiter retro in Scorpio, as group adherence grows stronger. A semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, mild) to Neptune in Pisces could disperse anger or expand to outer reaches of the mind.

Friday June 29th – The Moon transits in Capricorn quincunx (150 deg, creative) to Venus in Leo, and forms a conjunction (0 deg, combining) to Pluto in Capricorn.  Cultural management through media goes big time. The goal is to impress the masses. This could be the ultimate in manipulation. Mercury makes ingress to Leo today making a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus in Taurus. Extravagance has a backlash, as divisiveness becomes a medium of its own. The Sun in Cancer is quincunx Mars retro in Aquarius, as outreach has mixed responses. Social protests dig increased with new vigor.

Saturday June 30th – The Moon in Aquarius opposes (180 deg, conflict) Mercury in Leo and is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus, to for a T-square configuration.  The Moon is sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Chiron (wounded healer) as we reach for higher instincts and a move for universal healing. Attempts for unification are instantaneous (Uranus focal point of the T-square), and not always successfully balancing, as Uranus is symbolic of the unpredictable outcome. The Moon in the sign of Aquarius is the dispositor of Uranus, helping to achieve the higher minded goals.

Sunday July 1st –   Ceres at 1 deg Virgo is trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Uranus in Taurus as initiatives for children’s welfare and rights of individuals overcome obstacles for reunifying families. The Moon in Aquarius square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Jupiter in Scorpio early in the day with efforts to overcome blocked communication, as the Moon then moves to opposition aspect (180 deg, polarizing) to Venus in Leo, obstacles could be overcome despite the polarity, the energy works together for a successful outcome.

Monday July 2ndMercury in Leo is now in a conjunct aspect (0 deg, combining) to Rahu (the north lunar node).  The direction (Rahu) of the collective (as this is a transit chart and not a personal chart), is for improved and more advanced forms of communication (Mercury). The Moon represents the public in this respect, so the Moon in Aquarius is reaching for ideal groups of like minded people. Immigrant families form self-help groups which could become a political force in the future. The Moon makes the ingress to Pisces later in the day as collective memories form. A sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Uranus in Taurus increases a sense of universal relief.

Tuesday July 3rdMercury in Leo is in opposition (180 deg, tense) to Mars retrograde in Aquarius, conjunct the lunar nodes (Rahu and Ketu). This highlights the day and the week for the future of the nations, for democracy (Aquarius) and personal rights (Leo). The rights of The Child and the responsibility of the government for the wellbeing of citizens as well as universal rights of children and immigrants is the subject of discussion (Mercury), as the direction of nations is in the balance.  The Moon in Pisces is in a trine aspect to the Sun in Cancer as well as trine to Jupiter in Scorpio. This grand-trine configuration in water signs expresses hope for universal acceptance and understanding. The Moon transits Neptune as suffering is shared and understood in the universal language of human empathy.

Migration Guilt as Neptune Turns Inward – Week of June 20-26 2018

An emotionally wrought storm over immigration policies and the respect for family and the parent-child bond whirls around with the grandtrine in water signs (emotions).  The opposition aspect from the Moon to Neptune in Pisces on Tuesday elicits more responses and viewpoints.  It is not only a legal situation, but also a moral issue as the outcry increases. The law’s interpretation and application is being used for political power – Mercury in Cancer is in a tight opposition aspect to the midpoint of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn.  The Moon in Virgo transited the sextile aspect to Mercury as Mercury is approaching the trine aspect to Jupiter. Voices become louder and louder. Neptune turns retrograde on Thursday, bringing empathy inward.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday June 20th – The Moon is entering (ingress) Libra today as it is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the Sun (quarter-Moon crisis) and an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Chiron (inner healer) in Aries universal wisdom is conflicted. As the Sun ingress to Cancer later in the day, more direct action is considered for treatment of families along the border detention facilities. Separating children brings trauma that is threatening the continuity of parental bonds. Hopefully the children will be reunited with parents soon. The outside force that imprisons them (Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn), forcing them apart, leaves a frightening impression on the young lives.  With this T-square formation it is not difficult to arrive at a solution, unless wisdom is exchanged for political leverage (Moon opposed to Chiron).   Venus conjunct Rahu (north lunar node) in Leo is in an opposition aspect to Mars in Aquarius. The perception of the border patrols as evil is engrained in the minds of the families seeking protection. The Moon is trine aspect to Mars (air signs) and is inclined to see the balance (Libra) as the aggressive (Mars) view.

Thursday June 21st – As Mercury and Pluto retro are doubly approaching the opposition degree (180 deg) in cardinal signs (Cancer and Capricorn respectively), the Moon in cardinal sign Libra reaches the focal point forming a t-square configuration later in the day. It is significantly a build-up of tension in the power struggle that will reach a breaking point, or a resolution. Venus in an opposition aspect (see June 20th) to Mars reaches its partile point (exact degree) today for optimal point of distress. Official policy is aggressive (Mars in Aquarius) and attracts dissent (Mars in Aquarius) as the dual interests of citizens and citizenship is put to an extreme test.  The Sun and Mercury in Cancer are disposed of by the Moon. The Moon is transiting Libra, searching for a balance, yet out of balance before reaching the square aspects to Mercury and Pluto today. A decisive point is reached in the controversy. Neptune turns retrograde in Pisces, as humanitarian concerns are focused inward.

June 22 2018
5 PM EDT
1st Quarter Moon Phase

Friday June 22nd – The Moon is in the final decant of Libra today (see above chart). We are either on the defensive or aggressive mode, for the ingress of Scorpio. With Uranus at 1 deg Taurus, the opposition aspect (180 deg, polarizing) to the Moon in Scorpio takes place in the late afternoon (EDT). At the same time, the Sun in Cancer is in a sextile aspect (60 deg, working) to the Sun and a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to the Moon. Aggressive actions have more effect than complacency. The Moon in Scorpio is more passionate than in Libra, and disposed of by Pluto, so could also produce a correction or reiteration of the existing situation. Mercury opposition aspect to Pluto and Sun in a square aspect to Chiron are aspects pushing for a change in policy. Mercury opposition to Pluto is in full force today, as more critical points are raised.

Saturday June 23rd – The Sun is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Chiron while the Moon in Scorpio is in square aspects to Mars in Aquarius and Venus in Leo. While working for a compromise solution, respect for traditions and identities must be preserved.  The US has absorbed large numbers of immigrants in the past, and those from our neighbors to the south should also be recognized. Demonstrating a policy of humanitarian concern (Mars in AquariusVenus in Leo opposition) would be consistent with tradition. As the Moon conjunction (0 deg, aspect) with Jupiter in Scorpio occurs today, true humanitarian concern is understood while the trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Neptune retro promotes more empathy.

Sunday June 24th – The Moon in Scorpio is sextile to Pluto early today, then in a trine aspect to Mercury, bringing focus or igniting a deep-seated controversy. Official policy (Pluto in Cap) is questioned for humanitarian concerns (Cancer), perhaps new details are emerging from the hidden actions or officials due to secret alliances (Scorpio).  Venus in Leo is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Jupiter in Scorpio, exposing secretive (Scorpio) affairs (Venus), or seductive relationships. Pleasurable experiences could be spontaneous or ill-timed.  While contacts between Venus and Jupiter are almost always favorable, the aspect is harsh and could upset the anticipated result, or be in some way undesirable. The Moon ingress to Sagittarius helps to find amiable solutions.

Monday June 25th – An optimistic note begins the day, as the Moon transits Jupiter’s sign- Sagittarius. Quincunx aspects (150 deg, complex) to both Uranus in Taurus and the Sun in Cancer could allow for mediation of complex issues. Venus square aspect to Jupiter persists today, as personal chemistry (VenusJupiter contact) and the will to reduce conflict could overcome difficult issues of the day. The Moon moves on to a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) with Mars in Aquarius, clarifying goals and possible solutions as difficulties are overcome by the will (Mars) to find solutions as the Moon then is in a trine aspect to Venus in Leo.

Tuesday June 26th – The Sun in Cancer is disposited by the Moon in Sag, and in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Saturn retrograde in Capricorn. There could be a court mandated action with regard to parental rights versus government policy. The implementation of law is questioned by the interpretation of legal issues aimed to reverse government policy. The Moon’s square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune is a concern for the negative effects of migrant detentions. The POTUS is likely to speak out at this time as transiting Mercury is conjunct Trump’s natal Venus in Cancer.  A legal challenge is likely.

The Hope for Re-unification – Week of June 13-19 2018

The New Moon today in Gemini, as the results from the Trump-Kim summit in Singapore is making waves. There is a sense of a new beginning for world peace, for bringing an isolated State and people in from the cold. However, there may be several versions of the outcome: Trump’s version, Kim’s version, and that of the world’s analysis.  The duality inherent in the Sign of the Twins is most obvious. Venus moves into Leo as well, on the 13th as pride and glory follow the day’s events. As events and even judicial judgments can alter language and grammar, Gemini as the mind that sees two options and cannot settle on one of them, the outcome could be inconclusive in the final analysis. My analysis of the two leaders, written in August 2017 can be found here: Trump v. Kim

New Moon in Singapore
June 14, 2018

Wednesday June 13th – With Chiron the focal point of the t-square configuration, the ability of the two leaders to follow a reasonable agenda on issues of importance to them both and to the world is a dominant concern. Each will be testing the other’s intentions. Kim, with his natal Mars, Saturn and Uranus conjunction in Taurus, balanced by transiting Jupiter in Scorpio, is more likely to come out of the summit with what he wants than Trump, who needs to pull off a media blitz to salvage his presidency. Trump’s goal, even considering the disarmament issue, is less specific. Trump tends to get off topic and focus on himself. His vacillating mind might be manipulated by Kim. Still Kim’s situation is more urgent than Trump’s, although they both desperately need a win. The New Moon is an opportunity for everyone to push the restore energy, and re-examine goals. Pluto retro in Capricorn is in a quincunx aspect to the New Moon, an indication that creative means are necessary to achieve stated goals.

Thursday June 14th – The Moon in Cancer today is conjunct Mercury in the Moon’s sign, a Cardinal water sign, while Venus has moved into Leo a fixed fire sign. Reactions are expressed effusively (Venus in Leo), as many feel a pride in accomplishment. The Moon moves on to an opposition aspect (180 deg, discord) with Saturn in Capricorn, as objections may be also voiced now. Venus is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus; an injury of pride could dampen the mood of the day.  Chiron is in a square aspect to the Moon (90 deg, conflicting), as wisdom of experience advises that a cautious attitude is maintained. Then the Moon moves to oppose Saturn (180 deg, opposition) blocking further progress for the time being. Relations could hit a snag. Moon is also quincunx to Mars for some unexpected actions, some backtracking or other belated actions from the President as DJT has his Natal Mercury conjunct (0 deg, conflicting) the Transiting Mercury (talk) with the Transiting Saturn (limitations) in an opposition aspect (180 deg, discord).

Friday June 15th – The Moon in Cancer is in opposition (180 deg, tense) to Pluto in Capricorn while Mercury in Cancer opposes SaturnVenus in Leo is in a square aspect (90 deg, conflict) to Uranus in Taurus, for some instant fireworks. This may be exuberant elation, or unexpected acrimony. The Moon in Cancer is at home, thus more likely to impress the crowds, the large populations affected. Saturn is in its home sign of Capricorn and opposes (180 deg, tense) Mercury, a suppression of communication that would vary from that which is sanctioned. Critical remarks are less tolerated. The Moon formed a grandtrine (120 deg between 3 planets to one other) earlier in the day with Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Scorpio. It is certainly a day of congratulatory rejoicing.

Saturday June 16th – The Moon in Leo is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus early in the day, and a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Chiron in Aries, then is conjunct to Venus, as joyful anticipation replaces doubt. Then, the Moon moves to conjunct Rahu (north lunar node) and form an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Mars in Aquarius. This opposition could be more favorable than most harsh aspect, as Mars in Aquarius focuses on the future benefits and the Moon in Leo is sure to enjoy the prospects that are promised. A balance of inclusiveness results. The future looks better for progress on denuclearization and reunification of the Korean peninsula.

Sunday June 17th – The Moon is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Jupiter today, for more accolades. There is also a quincunx aspect to Neptune in Pisces, as some side effects of the celebrations are felt. A quincunx aspect from the Moon to Pluto in Cap later in the day could mean that health may suffer, and professional services may be required. Others may work this out to greater social advantage. A sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to the Sun in Gemini could be invitation to celebrate with late night gathering, while the quincunx to Pluto late at night indicates suffering the repercussions.

Monday June 18th – The Moon is in practical Virgo trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to upsetting Uranus, sooths jittery nerves. The quincunx (15 deg, tricky) to Chiron (wounded healer) could indicate that you are given advice that is difficult to follow. A trine aspect to Saturn retro in Capricorn will help form a grand-trine in earth signs that affects some with unexpected gain. Venus conjunct Rahu (north lunar node), could bring hope for the future. Night time dreams seem possible to achieve while hopes for the future seem close to reality, as Mercury is trine aspect to Jupiter in Scorpio and sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to the Moon in Virgo.

Tuesday June 19thVenus in Leo transcends Rahu (north lunar node) and opposes (180 deg, aspect of conflict) Mars in Leo, as gains for women’s equality and rights are made. Mercury in Cancer is trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Jupiter retro in Scorpio. Grater concessions of value are made.  Korean women helped to promote the transformation of North Korean leadership, and family reunions are underway. The Moon in opposition aspect to Neptune in Pisces brings hope to the underprivileged and destitute segments of humanity.  The Moon trine aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn helps also to transform social attitudes and overcome oppression.
