The movement to overturn government policy is underway with Mercury in Cancer in an opposition aspect to Mars in Aquarius. The Moon in Pisces is sextile aspect to Pluto in Capricorn and quincunx aspect to Venus in Leo. The push for the recognition of universal human rights with the crisis on hand as the motivator, continues to involve emotional responses from a magnitude of individuals, even converging various culture groups in a plea for government reform. The future existence of oppressive government policies is on the decline. Ceres in Virgo (protector of children) is trine to Uranus in Taurus this week. Saturn retrograde in Capricorn slowly reverts to the point of a trine aspect to Uranus in early August, when it reaches its station and reverts to a direct motion. The life of a movement gains power over oppressive government rule. Democracy is, after all, a government form of rule by the people it serves. An intense and riveting week awaits us! Finally, the New Moon in Cancer on Thursday, a week away.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday July 4th – On this day, when we celebrate the birth of the US as a nation and democracy as a system of government, the meaning of grass roots movement to reform governments around the world, gives more profundity to the day. Only by maintain a flexible rule responsive to the will of the majority and the changing needs of the world, will the government survive. The Sun in Cancer is in a close trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Jupiter in Scorpio, for intense congregation of emotional togetherness, as families and communities around the world celebrate. Neptune is in a wide trine aspect to Jupiter and the Sun, for a more expansive universal recognition of the day. The power to transform the world is that of universal understanding. Mercury in Leo is in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tension) to Mars in Aquarius builds hope through progressive action.
Thursday July 5th – The Moon ingress to Aries awakens latent energy for new initiatives. A challenging square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn in Capricorn gives a push for changing the rules of standard operations. Saturn continues retrograde as reforms seek to repair harm inflicted by institutional (Capricorn) laws (Saturn). The Sun trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Jupiter in Scorpio increases the power with a grand-trine to Neptune in Pisces. Community actions for reform (Neptune) involve accommodating the homeless in the midst of the nation and world-wide. The Moon transits in Aries to a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) with Mercury in Leo and sextile (60 deg, helpful) to Mars retro in Aquarius before the 3rd quarter Moon phase, with the Moon square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the Sun in Cancer before midnight (US times).
Friday July 6th – The crisis in resolution of the issues is reached at the 3rd quarter Moon. The grand-trine (any three planets in 120 deg angles from one another) in water signs is prominent at the 3rd quarter Moon, as Mercury in Cancer is closer to the exact trine aspect with Neptune in Pisces. A second grand-trine, this in earth signs also forms with Ceres trine aspect to Uranus trine to Saturn retro in Capricorn, also trine aspect to Ceres. [Please refer to the image above] This gives a notable symbol for universal values. As the day proceeds, the Moon forms a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Pluto for a wide T-square configuration with Pluto opposing (180 deg, tension) Sun in Cancer. While the T-square attempts to hold steady, the grand–trines are sharing physical and emotional information at a rapid pace. The Moon is the dispositor of the Sun, and in Aries, a fire sign, is volatile and changeable, so that the T-square becomes fluid as well. Rapid change in action and unpredictable outcome of the whirlwinds of war and peace engulf the world.
Saturday July 7th – The Moon in Taurus today is in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Uranus, the planet associated with reversals and change of a diametrically opposed status. The two grand trines in yin signs, water and earth, are persisting. Although the yin signs are yielding, the force of the combined trine configurations is overwhelming the yang powers of governing entities (Saturn and Pluto retro in Capricorn). The Yang is forced to retreat. For Yin is not the creative energy, but adheres to values for humanity. The Moon reinforces the grand-trine in earth as it transits beyond Uranus trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Ceres and then forms a trine aspect to Saturn. The forces of nature (yin, earth and water signs) continue to erode the force of structural power centers (Yang– air and fire signs). Indeed, Mars, Pluto and Saturn in yang signs are all in retrograde phase, as though in retreat. Jupiter is in the water sign Scorpio, therefore yin, and stationary preparing to turn direct motion again, as though propelled by the winds of time. This is reminiscent of the 23rd hexagram of Po (Chinese Book of Changes) which is called Splitting Apart.
Sunday July 8th – The Moon in Taurus is in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tension) to Jupiter in Scorpio, and both the Moon and Jupiter are in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Mercury in Leo, to form a T–square configuration. It is this opposition that integrates the two Yin grand-trine formations, earth and water signs as the Moon transits through Taurus, connecting to the earth grand–trine and then in opposition aspect to Jupiter. Venus at 28 deg Leo forms an out-of-sign (OOS) trine aspect (120 deg, easy) with the earth signs to complete the grand–trine in earth. The potential is also for a grand-cross formation connecting the fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, a mystical combination. Almost everyone would be energized by one or more of these configurations. The grand–trines give ease of powering emotional and/or physical actions, thus being in the flow, whereas the T-square or grand–cross would be a tendency to hold ground. The dwarf planet Ceres at 4 deg Virgo today, is in a trine aspect to Uranus at 2 deg Taurus (earth signs) and trine aspect to Saturn and 5 deg Capricorn. Of course Saturn is also trine aspect to Uranus. This was energized by the Moon transit on Saturday conjunction aspect with Uranus. Now the Moon moves to form a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) with Mars in Aquarius then also square aspect to Mercury in Leo. Mars retro could trigger strong and possible violent reactions, while the Mercury and Jupiter contacts would be more composed. Mercury in Leo is more benign and as a creative sign and a good communicator. Mercury could indicate a dramatic production or even dramatic press reports that tend to and add a calming factor into the day’s rapidly changing atmosphere. The Sun in Cancer is in a trine aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces dissolving and remolding as families that were displaced and now reunited. Jupiter is stationary as it prepares to return to direct motion on Wednesday.
Monday July 9th – The Moon today forms a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Venus at 29 deg Leo, for heightened emotional drama before ingress to Gemini before noon US time zones. Ceres in Virgo moves closer to the trine aspect (120 deg, easy) with Saturn in Cap, as greater protection is finally established for children who were held in detention. In the afternoon hours, the Moon in Gemini makes a sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Chiron in Aries, as lessons are learned from mistakes made. Uranus semi–sextile to both the Moon and Chiron adds a sense of universality to the historical events. The Moon in Gemini trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Mars in Aquarius (air signs – yang) late in the day, as the sharing of experiences become part of the healing process.
Tuesday July 10th – Saturn retro in Capricorn is trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Ceres in Virgo as they doubly approach a partile deg, and a measure of personal control is reassumed. Mercury in Leo is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Jupiter in Scorpio, as emotions are intensely expressed. The Moon is quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Jupiter in Scorpio, as sensitivity is required for media and interested public. Venus ingress to Virgo as it will form trine aspects to Uranus and Saturn in the next few days. The new grand-trine in earth signs (yin) will be intense and cool at the same time.
