The Sun and Venus are in Cancer this week, with Mercury retrograde and Mars in Leo in a square aspect to Uranus in Taurus to promote revolutionary goals. The Moon in Scorpio moves from the opposition to Uranus to a trine aspect with the Sun, then a conjunction with Jupiter in Sagittarius on July 13th. The Moon then transits the repressive Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn before the Full Moon eclipse on July 16th. Uranus is activated as the Sun moves from the opposition to Saturn to an opposition aspect with Pluto during the week as engagement with opposing forces dominates political and international events.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday July 10th – The Moon in Scorpio is in square aspects (90 deg, harsh) to Mercury retro and Mars in Leo early hours then in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Uranus in Taurus, for a T-square configuration in fixed signs (Taurus, Leo and Scorpio). While Mars and Uranus square aspects tend to violence, the fixed energy of the signs have a more cautious factor and a concern for preservation of status quo. Mercury retro also adds caution to the discourse. Fixed positions, however, would maintain adversity with a stubborn unwillingness to adapt or change attitude. Thus, there is little hope of altering the nature of the conflict as positions taken are held firmly. The Sun transcends the opposition aspect to Saturn in Capricorn and the conjunction aspect to Rahu, as threating discourse reaches a peak. The Moon transits to a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Chiron in Aries, and then a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Venus in Cancer, as more diplomatic efforts are made to resolve an impasse.
Thursday July 11th – As the Sun in Cancer reaches the trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Neptune in Pisces, the Moon in Scorpio completes the Grand-Trine configuration (three planets in trine aspect to one another) in water signs, a flowing of emotionally charged energy elevates campaigns with a universal appeal. There is a danger of a downward spiral with the grand-trine. Outreach to minority groups, promotions with an eagerness for love and profit, attract attention. The Moon semi-sextile (30 deg, flash) to Jupiter and sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Saturn could restrict the appeal of proposals made for political gain. More generosity is generated by generosity. Disbelief is also generated by the same actions. Mars square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus intensifies without the restraints of yesterday, threatening to derail opportunities to gain.
Friday July 12th – The Moon ingress to Sagittarius is early in the day, with a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Ceres, a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) forms from the Moon to Mercury retro in Leo a few hours later, then a Grand–Trine (three planets in trine aspect to one another) in fire signs as Chiron is also involved by trine aspect. Energy flow that is unstoppable could also indicate a downward spiral. This is beneficial for educational enrichment, vacationing and romantic communications. A quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Uranus from the Moon could help to defuse aggressive postures. A trine aspect to Mars follows as goal oriented ambitions could include gain in higher educational pursuits.
Saturday July 13th – The Moon in Sag forms a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Venus in Cancer, and then meets up with Jupiter in a conjunction aspect (90 deg, combining). Thus, we may enjoy the morning with humor of a satirical nature. A quick semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, flash) to Saturn could be a parental moment of discipline, or some other limiting influence, followed by the square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune in Pisces for deeper meditation. The day should be enjoyable and expansive of spirit, as social events late in the day are appealing.
Sunday July 14th – The Moon is void-of-course most of the day. That means there are no major aspects forming from the Moon. During these hours, from 1:31 to 23:06 it is advised not to sign agreements or contracts of any sort. It is best to wait until Monday morning to make commitments, to be on the safe side. Contracts made today may not actualize without a lunar aspect to implement it. After the Moon ingress to Capricorn, changing polarities in the cardinal sign, constructive action gets underway. That could be late in the day, after 9-12 PM depending on location. Take the evening off to relax and enjoy quiet time.
Monday July 15th – While the late-night quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) from the Moon in Capricorn to Mercury retro in Leo could cause anxiety, daylight brings a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) from the Moon in Capricorn to Uranus in Taurus, as practical measures are successful. Well planned procedures have an advantage and could be highly rewarding. Venus in Cancer and Jupiter retro in Sag are doubly approaching a quincunx aspect, for a more unconventional although creative time, which could be pleasurable a well. Activities such as helping young people with academic studies, or improving your home atmosphere are favored as the Moon is in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Venus in Cancer. Venus is disposed of by the Moon in Cap, so perfecting the home environment and/or personal appearance is a natural outcome.
Tuesday July 16th – The Moon forms as sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to Neptune and a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Pluto early in the day, before the Full Moon eclipse at 21:39 UTC or 6:39 PM EDT- 9:39 PM PDT. This could be a jolt into awareness that awakens us from a dreamy state of unreality. Starting in the afternoon, after the eclipse and until early morning on the 17th there is another void-of-course Moon until the Moon ingress Aquarius. The two eclipses rattled the US SoCA and Indonesia, and more aftershocks could be expected. Venus in an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Saturn in Capricorn is an indication of concern for structural damage to the home.
Have a safe week!
