Overview

An eclipse portends dramatic changes in affairs both personal and national. It has been noticed to predict the fall of leaderships, and the death of presidents. We are now between the two eclipse dates. Liz Truss’s resignation preceded the new Moon eclipse on Monday by a week, following calls for her to resign. She remains in residence until a new leader is chosen. The New PM has been given the title, Rishi Sunak is the first PM of UK of color, being of Indian origin. This break from tradition is another eclipse event. The upcoming full Moon eclipse on November 8^th, is the date of the US election for Congressional leaders and local officials who have term limits. November 1^st is election day for Israel Knesset and Prime Minister, so the eclipse is likely to signify surprises in the political contests and change in leadership. Following the eclipse on Tuesday, the Moon transits from Scorpio and a T-square configuration as the world seeks more stability, to Sagittarius with a trine aspect to Jupiter on Thursday for peace initiatives and Jupiter retro re-ingress to Pisces. Mercury in Libra square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn, and Mars in Gemini is quincunx to Pluto, and then turns retro on Monday. The Moon at 29 deg Sagittarius makes an opposition aspect to Mars in Gemini on Friday and then a sextile aspect to Mercury at 29 deg in Libra and square aspect to Jupiter retro ay 29 deg in Pisces, prior to the lunar ingress to Capricorn. Mercury ingress to Scorpio early on Sunday, as the Moon ingress to Capricorn. On Tuesday the 31^st, the Moon is sextile to Jupiter in Pisces, then ingress to Aquarius a few hours later.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday October 26^th — Mercury in Libra makes a flowing trine aspect to Mars in Gemini and a challenging square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. A rapid flow of media reports challenges the leadership roles around the world. The Moon in Scorpio is in an oppressive opposition aspect to Uranus in Taurus, as resistance to economic pain grows. Saturn in Aquarius is square aspect to both the Moon and Uranus retro, an indication that economists inflict more limitations, such as an increase in rates for mortgages and loans. The Moon makes a trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces and quincunx aspect to Mars in Gemini, as attempts to ease the way for migrants meets with resistance. Doubts are raised as to legitimate modes of access, even as advocates (Mercury in Libra) pressure authorities (Pluto in Cap) as the Moon is sextile aspect to Pluto and quincunx aspect to Mars.

Thursday October 27^th — The Moon ingress to Sagittarius and makes a trine aspect to Jupiter retro on the cusp of Aries for successful litigations, benefiting political or religious idealism. Venus separating from the conjunction aspect the Sun in Scorpio is afflicted with the semi-sextile aspect from the Moon, given the court judgement, demeaning of sexual freedoms. The Moon square aspect to Ceres in Virgo admonishes a generation of working people. The Moon trine aspect to Chiron retro in Aries indicates a defense by citing religious idealism.

Friday October 28^th — The Moon in Sagittarius quincunx aspect to Uranus in Taurus and sextile aspect to Saturn in Aquarius seems to legitimatize cooperation between courts and law enforcement (Saturn) to limit personal freedoms (Aquarius).  The quincunx aspect to Uranus could indicate a misuse of force or even a radical interpretation of law. Thus, a strong arm (Saturn) applied to questionable applications of force complies with a radical interpretation of law and order. This is riot control and using courts to justify the means. Overnight in the US and morning on Saturday in Europe, Asia and the Far East, the Moon square aspect to Neptune retro in Pisces when a disrespect of human rights is legitimized.

Saturday October 29^th — Mercury at 29 deg Libra is sextile aspect to the Moon at 29 deg Sagittarius and quincunx aspect to Jupiter retro at 29 deg Pisces. Abuses of human rights are exposed (Jupiter in Pisces) in media (Mercury in Libra). Mars in Gemini and in a quincunx aspect to Pluto in Capricorn is a focused effort critical of powerful leaders with authoritarian administrations. Efforts to undermine rotten rulers becomes a passionate mission. While Xi in China has gained another term, how democratic his reign is open to question. UN and western nations rally around Ukraine and authoritarians maintain a grip on power. The Moon ingress to Capricorn makes a sextile aspect to Mercury at the ingress to Scorpio, and an out-of-sign square aspect to Jupiter in Pisces. The Moon will also make sextile aspects to the Sun and Venus in Scorpio, as diplomatic efforts are strengthened. Mercury quincunx aspect to Jupiter (out-of-sign aspect) is an aspect of indirect diplomacy.  

Sunday October 30^th — Mercury in Scorpio acquires more urgency. The out-of-sign quincunx aspect to Jupiter at 29 deg Pisces continues with increased stress on either side of all current conflicts. Efforts to regain legitimacy on one hand, and efforts to reverse trends on the other, result in conflicts of passion. Pluto in Capricorn is sextile aspect to the midpoint of Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces. Fears of loss of power compound with the critical focus on the powerful leaders with Mars in Gemini quincunx aspect to Pluto. The Moon in Capricorn makes a square aspect to Chiron in Aries thereby rejecting an innate voice of wisdom. The Moon makes a trine aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus, embarrassing radical economic measures of the powerful and later a sextile aspect to Neptune in Pisces, with concerns about loss of faith. Reversals could take place, although not necessarily reversals that comply with humanitarian law.

Monday October 31^st — The Moon in Capricorn is conjunction aspect with Pluto at midday in Europe and Mideast nations, conforming to power and social events, past midnight Sunday in the US, as festivities take place. A radical shift in power could take place. Generational forces attempt to gain political power to overturn governments and gaining power as the Moon makes a sextile aspect to Jupiter in Pisces. The Moon ingress to Aquarius (15:44 UT) makes a square aspect to Mercury in Scorpio late in the afternoon EU time, midday in the US with a heightened sense of social and political awareness. Mars in Gemini pivots to retrograde (apparent motion), with a focus on the home front, especially on political contests.

Tuesday November 1^st — The first quarter Moon phase [see above chart] at a time of polling for PM in Israel, where citizens vote for one party list. The quarter Moon is an indication of a developing crisis. What about the polling will be problematic or indecisive? The results may indicate coalition battles or a second polling if it is too close. A Yod Major formation with the Moon sextile aspect to Chiron retro in Aires and quincunx aspects to Ceres could indicate luck, possibly for the younger generation. The situation in Ukraine/Russia is also very tense amid the ongoing accusations of atrocities committed as Russian troops leave areas they had occupied. Conflicts in Putin’s supporting oligarchs, also cause tensions. Pushing for a settlement adds another layer of complexity to the whole ball of fire. Venus in Scorpio is at the same degree as Putin’s natal Venus. Putin also has a Saturn square to Uranus aspect in his natal chart [see chart below], and his natal Uranus sextile aspect to Uranus station in Taurus. As the architect of this conflict, it has his signature. The Moon in Aquarius transits to the conjunction aspect with Saturn, as Putin’s grasp on power is reaffirmed by the Saturn square aspect to Uranus retro in Taurus; he must stay the course to the bitter end.
