A New Moon and a Personal Awakening – July 31-August 7 2019

A stellium on July 31st as this report begins (in mid-week) with the Moon joining Venus, Sun, and Mars in the fixed fire sign of Leo. The New Moon in a fixed sign the fire energy is contagious and fun-loving. Mercury retrograde in Cancer does not re-enter Leo until the 11-12 of August, turning direct on August 1st and thereby avoiding the opposition aspect to Pluto retro in Capricorn.  The three planets Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto remain in parallel aspect (the declination) – that is a combining aspect resembling the conjunction – throughout July, August and September, increasing the concentration of power in social media (Jupiter) and control (Saturn and Pluto).  The Moon in Virgo is trine aspect to Saturn and Pluto on August 3rd, when there is a possibility of continued action from the high offices of the government.  Mars and Venus in the fire sign Leo are disposed of by the Sun at its glory in its home sign. Mars quincunx Pluto in Capricorn indicates a powerful shadow force. Massive protests are ignited again. The debates for the Presidential Democratic Candidates is scheduled to take place just a day before the New Moon.  As a new cycle, the New Moon begins a phase of renewal with opportunities for new projects to be initiated. Preparation begins during the 2-3 days prior to the initiation of the cycle. There are no planets in air signs this week until the Moon ingress to Libra on August 4th,  so aggressiveness (fire) and the physical (earth) properties tend to predominate, without the advantage of reason.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday July 31st
The Moon ingress Leo to form a stellium with the Sun, Venus and Mars in this glorious sign (Leo) of warmth and creativity Uranus in Taurus is in a square aspect to the Moon and the New Moon that forms before the dawn of August 1st. In the final hours before the New Moon, generating anew cycle is pushing us onward. While we let go of the old, the seeds of the new are germinating. With Uranus in a square aspect (90 deg, sharp) to the Moon, Venus and the Sun. A powerful sense of awakening to a more honest assessment of your situation, and to your ability to make a creative difference. There could be a sudden change that disrupts the perceived future, and propel you to a greater future. We can break the mold and look to co-create with the Universe.

Thursday August 1stMercury turns direct at the New Moon representing a major shift in awareness and/or surrounding circumstances.  Out of the shock of Uranus square aspect to the Venus-Moon-Sun conjunction (to the midpoint) a realization of new forms becomes actualized. The Moon transits on to a conjunction aspect with Mars and the focal point of a Yod formation (two planets quincunx aspect a third planet and sextile to each other), relating to the quincunx aspects to Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Cap. Mars in Leo activated by the Moon symbolizes taking a stance and a voice.  With the quincunx aspects to the energies that are the representative of large group participation – Neptune and Pluto, this translates into a powerful swell of action. The murders of innocent citizens at peaceful gatherings at either side of the continent over the week-end are sure to galvanize and propel change through the ballot box.

August 1 2019
New Moon

Friday August 2nd – The Moon ingress to Virgo transits to a trine aspect to Uranus late in the day (US time zones).  The Moon in Virgo is disposed of by Mercury in Cancer, an indication that appeals to rational thinking and with the trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Uranus, innovative approaches help to calm aggressiveness. Aggressive Mars in prideful Leo in a quincunx aspect to unsettling Pluto in Cap, again stirs the cauldron. Innovative solutions may resolve around policies that speak to minority groups.  Venus in Leo and a square aspect to Uranus in Taurus (fixed signs) motivates a charm offensive. The trine aspect to Chiron in Aries from Venus is also helpful for applying acquired wisdom.

Saturday August 3rd – The Moon makes several aspects by mid-day – a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Jupiter in Sagittarius and a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Saturn in Capricorn is followed by the opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Neptune in Pisces. The Moon in Virgo is adaptable in attempts to ameliorate conflicts with differential application of social regulations. While Jupiter and Saturn integrate and separate (respectively) they are in a parallel aspect, and with Pluto also in the same parallel, an aspect of declination (the 3rd dimension in special context).  The resulting actions that are displayed throughout social and international conflicts around the world, are sensitive to this combination of social justice and social control that is producing violent unrest and potential igniting of conflicts. Neptune is also sextile to the midpoint of Saturn and Pluto in Cap, bringing the two energies into a combined set for unrest, confusion on a global scale. The Moon trine aspect to Pluto in Cap later in the day perhaps some heroism among protesters seems to finalize the issues, with Mercury in Cancer also in a sextile aspect to the Moon for recognition of sacrifice.

Sunday August 4th – The Moon in Libra is disposed of by Venus in Leo, 2 deg approaching a conjunction with the Sun. Achievement is rewarded, honors are given as a matter of pride.  The Moon is an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Chiron in Aries, for greater balance in outcome, while also in a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Uranus in Taurus, an aspect of discord. While fleeting, the Moon can help to orchestrate acceptance of results with settlements. A sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) from the Moon to Venus and the Sun in Leo, evidenced in the eastern hemisphere or overnight in the west, could produce acceptance of a true or peaceful accord.

Monday August 5th – The Libra Moon forms a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Jupiter retrograde in Sagittarius for positive feedback with elevated hopes for diplomatic settlements. The Moon also makes a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn in Capricorn, as painful compromises need to be made. Selections among presidential hopefuls begin in earnest. The Moon in a square aspect to Pluto and sextile to Mars later in the day highlights the quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) between Mars and Pluto. Mars in Leo is innovative, while Pluto retrograde in Capricorn is intent on maintaining standards (Capricorn) that control (Saturn is the dispositor and also in a parallel aspect) the social order.  Expressions for expanding social freedoms are framed in more acceptable media platforms. The Moon square aspect to Mercuryin Cancer suggests a settlement that is coerced through power.

Tuesday August 6th – The Sun in Leo forms a trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Jupiter retro in Sagittarius, as a political group gains recognition. The Sun is also in a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Saturn in Capricorn, as limiting conditions inhibit creative identity. The Moon ingress to Scorpio (fixed water) as social reforms are demanded. The quincunx aspect to Chiron and the opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Uranus are unfolding a comprehensive vision for social advancement. The crisis in the emerging soli-lunar cycle tests the viability of the emerging forces for change as the first quarter Moon phase approaches.
