A Full Moon Challenge-August 14-21 2019

This week there are 4 planets and the Sun in fire signs with asteroid Chiron and dwarf planet Ceres also in fire. Fire signs are noted for ardent expression of cohesiveness – a Yang energy, intent on producing results. Leo is a fixed sign, where fame is generated with creative ventures. Venus transcends the Sun on Wednesday, although remains in close conjunction with the Sun for 2-3 more days, and disposed of by the Sun indicating that more glorified outcomes can be expected. Attempts at heroic achievements push the limits. On Monday, Mars ingress to Virgo is defining the more practical of the embellished proposals, while the Moon transits into Aries for the initiation of the projects.  A grand-trine in fire is then found producing rapid results as the pieces of the proposals fall into place.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday August 14th – The Sun and Venus are in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) in Leo and a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Pluto in Capricorn. Attraction to the incomprehensible is mesmerizing. Deep wounding combined with power figures capture social media. The Moon in Aquarius forms a sextile aspect (60 deg, working) to Jupiter in Sagittarius could idealize prospects of redemption.  Jupiter is also semi-sextile (30 deg, mild) to Saturn in Capricorn, grounding the judicial with delay and inaction. Chiron retro in Aries is semi-sextile to Uranus retro in Taurus, disabling swift responses. We remain conflated and unable to resolve overwhelming issues of social relevance.

Thursday August 15th – A Full Moon in Aquarius seeks to dispel embellished accounts of romantic encounters, may bring to light in full exposure with the Moon in opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to the Sun-Venus conjunction in Leo. The Saturn-Ketu-Pluto retro conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) in Capricorn lack sufficient forward energy to accomplish needed reforms. Mercury in Leo trine aspect to Chiron in Aries allowing for some insight and trine aspect to Ceres in Sag, with potential reform with a concern for future generations. Neptune retro in Pisces dissolves resources revealing global deterioration of ability to combat endemic decay. Mercury in Leo approaches a challenging square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus retro in Taurus, for a creative stimulus, or a shock effect, forcing a response. With the Moon in an opposition aspect to Mars in Leo later in the day, a challenge or test of wills may result.

Friday August 16th – The Moon ingress to Pisces today is sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to Uranus and quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Mercury in Leo as difficult and controversial reports expose corruption (Neptune).  The Moon forms a sextile aspect to Jupiter in Sag, only the beginning of a long process that may take more than 6 years for reforms to be implemented.  In July 2026, the Neptune and Pluto sextile aspect reaches partile, punishing deep corruption and resulting in a new social contract.

Saturday August 17th – The Moon in Pisces makes its conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Neptune as acts of exploitation are exposed.  Mars ingress to Virgo later in the day with a goal to reform and repair social ills. With opposition candidates preparing for effective tools to combat current power, reform must come from within. The Moon moves to a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) with Saturn and Pluto, with attempts to de-legitimize authority and the policies that allow for corruption. The following quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to the Sun and Venus in Leo allow for a search for creative solutions to take place.

Sunday August 18th –  The Moon ingress to Aries today, with a quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Mars in Virgo, and disposed of by Mars in Virgo, a new impetus to create models for reform that revitalize debate in social media. A national dialogue that creates the consensus to move forward is needed. The Moon forms a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Chiron in Aries, indicating a time for reflection on morals and inner truth. A semi-sextile aspect (30 deg, quick) may also impact to encourage change of attitude.

Monday August 19th – The Moon in Aries is trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Mercury in Leo and soon after also trine aspect to Jupiter in Sagittarius. A potential grand-trine configuration in fire signs may be operating to move forward on ideals. Thoughts and words begin to motivate action for legislation or educational goals. The national narrative implements a philosophical change. Leaders are needed who inspire a future consistent with cultural values. While negative attitudes and neurosis may also arise to produce a rash of violence, the Moon trine to Jupiter and square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Saturn in Capricorn could limit acts of xenophobia. Preparedness and vigilance reduce the impact of the reflexive violence when the Moon is square aspect to Pluto, late in the day (think Hong Kong).

Tuesday August 20th – The Moon is trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to the Sun and Venus in Leo, before leaving Aries.  This could bring inspiration from personalities in entertainment or political candidates, as Mercury in Leo is trine aspect to Jupiter in Sagittarius. Momentum is generated for proposals that aim to a sea change of attitude.  Mercury is quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Saturn as basis in existing structure is questionable or hypothetical.
