As the Moon moves through Aquarius, we see less of a focus on power figures and more on achievement in the entertainment field. Yet, four planets remain in Capricorn, still a stellium by most technical assessments, and power remains blocked and contested. No planets are in opposiiton the stellium, although Rahu is at 26 deg Cancer. The Sun will be conjunct Ketu, the opposing Rahu on the 16th of January. This could expose government graft. The Moon will be in Taurus on the 16th and opposed by Ceres in Scorpio. The values of the younger generation are highlighted and may be tested in this opposition. The Sun trine aspect to the Moon will give opportunity for greater expression with Venus in Scorp trine aspect to Mars in Pisces. In some arenas, such as a social or democratic context, this is a soft coup, although in other scenarios in other structural context it may be militarized.
Summary of Major Aspects of the Week
Wednesday January 9th – The Sun in Capricorn moves to a conjunction with the Old Guard Pluto. This could be a challenge as old data thought to be buried is unearthed. Significant revolutionary processes are emboldened. Generational conflicts and revolutionary goals are established. With Jupiter in Sag and square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune in Pisces, this could result in a quagmire. For example, the proposed laws from Congress are sent back by Trump and nothing is accomplished. The Moon moves into Pisces later in the day, for commiseration on new actions.
Thursday January 10th – The Sun is in a conjunction (0 deg, aspect) with Pluto today, while Jupiter’s square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune increases in power. The Moon in Pisces is concurrently sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) Mercury in Capricorn. The Moon is a fleeting body, however, moving in a few hours to the conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) with Neptune, and square aspect to Jupiter. Jupiter in Sagittarius is a powerful force here, with the hard aspect to Neptune there is increased discontent, although action may be mired, that becomes stronger with the lunar transit. The power of the Sun in Cap is then undermined and overcome with the Pluto conjunction. Saturn is the final dispositor in Cap of Mercury, Sun and Pluto. Jupiter in its home sign of Sagittarius square aspect to the strong Neptune in Pisces (also in its home sign) demonstratively a power struggle. The could be a subversion or attempted subversion of ruling power figures. The underclasses are empowered to rebellion when oppressed. Uranus in Aries turns to direct apparent motion, its dispositor is Mars, also in Aries its sign of strength, and another final dispositor of the current panoply of planets and zodiac.
Friday January 11th– The Sun transcends Pluto overnight, as power figures may be diminished or a coup could overthrow leaders of nations. Jupiter in Sag in the square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune helps to solidify political aspirations. A massive shift in support from suppressed populations is congregated for political advantage. The Moon in Pisces is sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to the Sun in Cap and then moves to a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Ceres in Scorpio and will transit Neptune. This could encourage administrative governments to review supportive issues for families and children.
Saturday January 12th – The Moon ingress to Aries early today. Notably, it will be trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Venus in Sag and transit Mars (conjunction, deg aspect). This could indicate a shift in political ideology. Governments must adapt to the populations they rule over. Population growth is on a collision course with oppressive governments. Mercury in conjunction with Saturn (0 dg aspect, combining) indicates a decree from authoritative voices. New leadership then arises.
Sunday January 13th – The Moon in Aries implements the decrees, and transit of Mars could indicate a militaristic enforcement of order. The Moon in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Jupiter in Sag (fire signs) raises the level of conflict and the stage is set for a possible reverse oppression as the power struggle continues. Jupiter in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Neptune could then integrate the support from the rebellious populations.
Monday January 14th – The Moon transits Uranus today, for a revival or renewal of energy. While there may be actual revolutions underway, or accomplished in the past few days, unexpected results may yet occur. There could be a moderation or change in the stance of revolutionaries. Self-proclaimed leaders of a coup could also initiate temporary orders of an oppressive nature. It may be a state of emergency or restrictive measures, that give governments more control over the governed. On a personal level, you may be inclined to implement new policies or health regimens. The Moon enters Taurus for more health. consciousness.
Tuesday January 15th – With the Moon in Taurus today, there is a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) from the Moon to Saturn and Mercury in Capricorn (earth signs). Policies and standards may now be implemented with some success. Definition and refinement is given to intentions of a political nature. A reduction of forceful intentions allows for adjustment to the situation at hand. Venus in Sagittarius with a trine aspect to Mars in Aries (fire signs) can make acceptable the views of a changing ideology. The Sun in a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Ketu in Capricorn may indicate a take-over of existing agencies.
