A Choice of Wisdom or Illusion – February 19-26 2020

This week, with Mars in Capricorn and Mercury retrograde, we shift to more practical goals that avoid the mistakes of the past. In Capricorn, Mars is less analytic than practical and as able to differentiate with a goal for workable solutions essential to build the future desired. We move from theory with Mars in Sagittarius to implementation in Capricorn. Mercury retrograde helps to review the past, and we are inclined to select the programs and features that have proven successful in advancing our desired outcome. Mars remains in Capricorn for about 6 weeks, moving into Aquarius around the 1st of April. This week, the Moon transits in Capricorn, activating the stellium. With enthusiasm to create for the future with Jupiter sextile aspect to Neptune, looking through the rose-colored glasses leads to delusionary acts, or fanciful thinking. Mars in a trine aspect to Uranus may rush to such illusionary goals.  Successful outcomes depend on careful planning and implementations. Timing is very important now. The Sun ingress to Pisces on Wednesday, opening the delicate time of transition.  With Neptune and Mercury retro also in Pisces, we dissolve the past as we create the future. The New Moon in Pisces is on the 23rd. The Moon leaves the stellium in Cap and forms a stellium in Pisces, for a two stellium week.

Summary of Major Aspects of the Week

Wednesday February 19thThe Sun ingress Pisces overnight with a sense of expectation for a potential transformation. The Moon in Capricorn transits to a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Jupiter for a general analysis of how the government functions and how authorities fulfill their roles.  This could be in the form of release of reports from non-profit non-political watch-dog organizations. A more careful analysis of the present stage of policy is warranted for educational institutions with Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius in Capricorn. Jupiter is disposed of by Saturn, the master of conformity. New rules of theory must conform to policy. The stellium in Capricorn puts a focus on the strength of organized institutions.  The Moon is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Venus in Aries early in the day, with constructive criticism for new initiatives. A sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) from the Moon to Mercury and Neptune could inspire selfless actions. The Moon transits to conjunction aspects with Pluto and Saturn. In the US, primary caucus voting takes place this week in Nevada as the Moon transits Pluto today in Capricorn, with a surge in support for an upset candidate.

Thursday February 20th – The Moon continues in Capricorn with a conjunction aspect (0 deg, combining) to Saturn early in the day. Restrictions are activated with a more conservative outcome and an end to the surge of support for upset candidates. Limitations can restrict transmission of the Covid-19 virus. Intensive efforts to prevent contamination are more effective now. Jupiter in a sextile aspect to Neptune reaches partile (0 deg orb), as the surge in contamination peaks. The Moon ingress to Aquarius in the early afternoon hours. Aggressive actions taken (Sun sextile aspect-60 deg helpful- to Mars) promote awareness as the Moon in Aquarius moderates, with the semisextile aspects (30 deg, light) to both Mars in Cap and the Sun in Pisces. The Moon in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to Uranus increases the power of the outlier candidate, or a rejection of another. Moderation is unlikely to win now, as new ideas are needed. Mars in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Uranus in Taurus weaponizes a radical plan for economic reforms.

Friday February 21st – Excitement is generated by the Mars in Capricorn trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Uranus in Taurus and the Sun in Pisces in a conjunction aspect (90 deg, combining) to the midpoint, and a sextile aspect (60 deg, helpful) to both Mars and Uranus. New alliances that serve humanity may be formed. Fanciful claims (Jupiter sextile aspect to Neptune) need to be backed up by factual evidence with the Moon at the midpoint, or they will stigmatize the source. An ounce of wisdom (Chiron in Aries semisextile – 30 deg., quick –  to Uranus) is needed for greater success. Late in the day, the Moon is in a sextile aspect to Venus in Aries in anticipation of a better day. Harmony and destiny are intertwined, symbolized by the trine aspect of Mars to Uranus and all planets located within that trine are contained.

Saturday February 22nd – The Balsamic Moon phase today, with the new lunar cycle a day away, is a time of reviewing the event of the entire cycle that began on January 24th. The month of the Covid-19 virus, the death of over 1,700 in china and the quarantine of entire towns and cruise ship passengers. The primaries and the rankings of candidates are under review set the stage for future cycle of debates and primaries.  Quarantined passengers begin to return home, to restart their lives. The seeds of the new cycle are become evident also with renewed efforts for a peace agreement in Afghanistan.
